Frozen yogurt AND ice cream AND boba all in one place? Count me in!!! As much as I enjoy self-serve yogurt, it’s nice to have someone else make it for you. I had a child’s size pumpkin(which was delicious)…but let me tell you that a CHILD’s serving was plenty for a small treat. I’d love to come back and try their boba and sundaes!(Chocolate peanut butter??? YESPLEASE!)

This is probably one of my favorite places around the Bay Area to get my chocolate milk tea. I always get the chocolate milk tea at every boba place and this one tastes the best. Now the actual boba in the drink is not very good but I don’t get boba often, so I don’t mind. The women are very nice and always make my order perfectly, but sometimes they put boba in my drink but I just nicely ask them to take it out and it isn’t a problem. I also recommend the strawberry milk tea and mango milk tea! They’re both very sweet.

This place feeds my Carbolite addiction. The owners seem to be a family. The frozen yogurt is good and they have rotating flavors.

Their boba tea is served with a soda cup lid with a slightly larger than regular cross shaped straw slot. I was surprised at how much it disappointed me to get this rather than a lid with the seal on top that you punch through like a capri sun.

I don’t understand the bad reviews for them. This place is great! All the people who work there have been amazingly friendly. Their yougert selection is constantly changing, which is so much better than the chain place down the street. They have every option of ice cream I could think of, and their Sundays are wonderful. Top all this off with amazing prices and you really can’t lose. To be honest, I’m there a few times a week!

I did not want my first review to be negative but eh, such is life. I moved to the easy bay in April and I’ve been frequenting this little spot since then. I have an insatiable appetite for Boba(no really, I was in this place 4 to 5 times a week for an Almond fix) and this place provided just the fix I needed, until recently. I began to notice that my drinks tasted completely different than they used to. Instead of getting the delicious almond bubble tea I’d come to love, I was receiving warm, watered down cups of milk with no flavor at all. For weeks I ignored it(but I drastically scaled back my bubble tea budget) because I got a winner every now and again. I even switched to Caramel thinking it would fix the issue but no luck. The flavor just wasn’t there. Now lets talk about my visit today: I went into Yogurt Deluxe with my roommate to get my(new) usual caramel bubble tea as well as my roommates almond bubble tea. We discussed what we’d do if the drinks came back bland like the last few times and decided that we’d ask to have them fixed or remade. The person who helped us was the man who works there. HEISTHESOLEREASONFORTHISONESTARREVIEW. As expected, the drinks were flavorless and just tasted like warm milk. I politely told the man that I get bubble tea there nearly 4 times a week and it just didn’t have the same flavor. I asked if he’d fix both our drinks. His response: «I already added a lot.» Ok… well obviously something was off. The sugary drink I was holding was not my usual drink and unlike every other time, I was not willing to pay $ 5 yet again for a drink that tasted horrible. He stared us down, clearly not wanting to fix the problem, and eventually offered to add more flavoring. He disappeared to the back after saying«NEXTTIME I WON’T MAKETHISFORYOU. YOUSHOULDORDERSOMETHINGELSE.» What? Excuse me? I have to change my order because you didn’t do a good job of making the drink? Wow, what customer service! He reappeared with the drinks and we noticed what looked and tasted like simple syrup running down the side of my friends cup. We took the drinks, thinking they’d been improved, and got as far as the front door before we had to come back inside to ask why the drinks were sweeter but not at all flavorful. Since when does sugar = flavor? HE told us he didn’t use sugar to make the drinks. Ok then. The beverages were undrinkable so we opted to get a refund. The man continued to ask us what we’d like INSTEAD and we politely told him that we just weren’t satisfied with the drinks and would like a refund. He did not like that answer. He angrily took the drinks off the counter and as he poured them in the sink he spouted off: NEXTTIME I WILLNOTHELPYOU. THENEXTTIMEYOUCOMEIN I WILLNOTSERVEYOU. YOUNEEDTOORDERSOMETHINGELSE. I WILLNOTSERVEYOUNEXTTIME. Cool. So we were the problem? I am usually very calm in these situations but I was absolutely appalled by his blatant lack of respect. I told him that there was no need to yell or refuse us service just because we weren’t satisfied today. He continued his rude mantra and we left after mumbling about how much of an asshole he was. If the women there weren’t such sweethearts I’d never step foot into this place again. The young girl who works there always makes my drinks the best so I’ll definitely pop in when she’s working. I hate to leave a bad review for a locally owned small business but the ice cream was freezer burned and my daughter said the brownies in her sundae were stale. Can’t compete with Yogafina if you have stale and freezer burned products :(

I prefer the self-serve yogurt shops to the old-fashioned served-behind-the-counter ones(like Yogurt Deluxe). But, when I discovered that the flavors and quality of Yogofina(practically next door) was dismal, I decided to give this place a try. A girl’s gotta have her fro-yo! Woohoo! Their flavors are great. Classic and simple, but great. Graham Cracker and French Custard are my recent faves — so good that I skip the toppings. And you know what? It’s kinda nice being waited on vs. shoving my way into the self-serve line. They are really nice and generous with the samples. The $ 3.25 «small» size is plenty, and often leaves me with leftovers… for breakfast. They are open til 10:30 on most nights, and they serve boba tea too! Sometimes the old-fashioned way is the best way. Taste & see!

I’ve been coming here forever and I guess it’s my loyalty gene that keeps me coming here vs the new place down the street. They’ll never win any points for friendliness as others allude to but the quality is good and there’s rarely a wait. And it always makes me smile to remember my friend who loved to indulge in the hot fudge sundae after a walk around the Lake with me.

Don’t care for their yogurt bc it has a watered down & weird flavor to it.

A place that serves fro-yo and ice cream? Cool… you can please just about everyone looking for a cool tasty dairy treat. My fiancé & I split a medium of pistachio… very tasty and the portion was pleasing… it was plenty split between 2 people. The price was fine too…$ 3 something… whereas those pay by the oz places are usually overpriced(in my opinion). Definitely will be going back… they have warm peanut butter sauce available as a topping… since I love peanut butter I will have to try this out!!! FYI, this place is between T-Mobile and Subway on Lakeshore… the address given here is correct, but on the map it shows the wrong location…(Splash Pad Park bus stop) which is wrong(google maps glitch?).

Love this place! Great fro yo, plenty of topping options, and fast enough service. And I live that they’re open late. If you go late, the surrounding businesses are used so sometimes the street parking is doable. Also, importantly, this is NOT that nasty tangy Pinkberry-style yogurt(ick!). This is the good sweet stuff. They also have my favorite topping: peanut butter chips!

I frequent this shop regularly because they serve carbolite yogurt, which is very pleasant in a light, fluffy, not too-sugary way. However, I am trying very hard to limit coming here(despite how close I live) because I have HADIT with how much they gyp you on the yogurt! Most servers here have been trained to barely let the yogurt peak above the top of the cup, and they shape it like a hershey’s kiss instead of nice round and full shape. When I get a large, I am basically given the amount of yogurt that is in a delightfully towering mini-size cup at a place that rhymes with Wogurt Fark in Berkeley. Until the cups are filled more fairly, Yogurt Deluxe is a 2-star. If this is remedied, I’ll bump it up to 4⁄5 stars, cause I love the carbolite.

FROZENYOGURTEMERGENCY, Saturday night, 10:30pm… what to do, people? Unilocal, friends, Unilocal.5 stars for customer service(he answered the phone, told me they were closing in 15 minutes, I told him we were on the way, and he let us in right at 10:45pm, when they close). 3 stars for the yogurt — but that weighs a little more heavily, since you’re going to a frozen yogurt place for the yogurt, so 3 stars in the end. Great folks, more than just your standard toppings(mochi!), good times all around.

This place is pretty run down, and the yogurt tastes and feels like sweetened plastic. I’m surprised it’s able to occupy such prime retail space on Lakeshore(they must have some sort of long-term low rent lease).

Not a fan. The family that runs this joint makes it difficult to order. Loads of tension behind that counter. It’s hot up in there, and I’ve left without ordering anything there. That was a result of waiting in line and watching the grandma reach in her shirt and adjust her bra in front of me… made me lose my frozen yogurt appetite.

I like it because they have nonfat frozen yogurt for MY fat ass, and regular ice cream in kiddie-friendly flavors like Bubble Gum for my 3-year-old. Plus it’s within walking distance of the Lakeview branch of the library, and close to a playground. So everybody’s happy! UPDATE: Danger! Danger! I just found out that they have something called«frozen custard,» which is an extremely fattening dessert beloved by tubby folks in the Midwest, and now I’m spoiled and may never want to eat mere frozen yogurt again. Oh no!
