Gargiulo Vineyards was recommended to me by a friend, and it did not disappoint. This was my first trip to Napa Valley, visiting from Texas with my husband, and the experience at Gargiulo could not have been more incredible. Sue was an amazing host, and even took the time to help us get the perfect picture to use on our Christmas cards this year. The property is absolutely beautiful and picturesque, with plenty of space inside and out to fit whatever you are looking for. We had perfect weather on our trip, so we opted for a cozy table on the deck overlooking the grounds. I booked our tasting about 6 weeks in advance, and we got their last available appointment for that day(I believe she said that they only do 6 appointments per day), so I definitely recommend planning ahead. We were told that there are only 2 appointments at a time, which makes the experience very intimate, and they do not take groups over 6(if I remember correctly). The wine was delicious, we joined the club :) And definitely look forward to visiting again!

This was our favorite winery, hands down. We made a reservation well in advance, and it was definitely worth it. The grounds and view are spectacular. The tour itself was extremely insightful, yet laid back. It helps that it was just the two of us for the tasting. The four wines we tasted were delicious. We can’t wait to go back!

I just cannot say enough about the People and wine of Gargiulo. We wiill continue to return when in the area– even stayed an extra day to get the tasting in. Make your appointment and if you can only visit one winery or vineyard– this is the place!!!

If you’re lucky enough to get a tasting appointment here, don’t miss the opportunity. They make incredible quality wines(the G Major 7 and OVX specifically). The property is beautiful and the tasting and intimate tour setting is ideal. Staff is great!

I just love coming to this vineyard — it’s small and can be a bit hard to find off Oakville Cross, but it’s so worth the trip. The family and their staff are so friendly, it’s hard not to like it based on sheer personal appeal alone. That the wines are just great too speaks to their dedication to their craft. The tasting room is well appointed(rustic chic), and the turkish pistachios are rave-worthy. On my last trip here, I wasn’t able to snag an appointment because they were booked up well in advance, but they accommodated my plea to stop by and snag a few bottles. Sue(their customer relations mgr) was very pleasant even though we got there a bit earlier than anticipated and interrupted a tasting session — and even gave our small party pours of the Aprile to enjoy while we walked around the grounds to wait for her to free up. Definitely looking forward to my next trip back for a proper tasting of the new releases, and introducing more of my friends to this gem as well.

My Wife and I had a wonderful experience at Gargiulo Vineyards. We enjoyed tasting serveral of their great wines will eating our picnic lunch from Oakville Grocery. The outdoor setting overlooking the vineyards was wonderful as was our hostess, who regaled us with stories about the owners and the wines. A must stop on any Napa excursion.

The Gargiulo’s were the winery that was paired with the Enrique Olvera dinner over at Meadowood during the 11th of the 12days of Xmas there. Though their wines are solid on their own, I wasn’t quite sure that they were the best match for the cuisine. Though the Chardonnay with the Tamal de Frijol y Hoja de Aguacate was stellar. G Major 7 and barbacoa was an ok match, though it seemed to be touted by everyone else. Again, a solid wine maker that needs some judicious thinking to match with food.

If I lived in Napa Valley, I’d want to live on this amazing property. Fantastic wine tasting experience.

This is a really lovely property and the tasting room is well thought out & comfortable. We had a short tour into the vineyard, tasted grapes from the vine, and walked through the barrel room with an informative guide. This was a nice little tour to start the day. We were served some light snacks with the tasting, also very nicely presented. The cabs are big; unfortunately, they are also a bit hotter than I tend to prefer(just below 15%). I recommend this winery, plan to spend at least 1.5 hours here, the experience is well worth the $ 25 fee. By appointment only.

This was a fantastic way to start off my friends’ and my trip to Napa. Sipping wine while hearing about the land under the Napa sun from Bob, our host, was just near perfect before heading in to see the barrels. and then to the tasting room to try the rest of the selections. The wine was tasty, but the atmosphere was even better. The tasting room was comfortable and well-designed and I can say I had the best pistachios I’ve ever had… along with a nice bit of cheese and breadsticks. I definitely recommend this place – but keep in mind that you have to make reservations before you go! They also have a great patio. I can see having a nice private party there(which was actually being set up as we left!).

The Gargiulo Vineyard is a prime example of the passion that is bleeding out of Napa. Every ounce of their efforts are used to make gorgeous wines. The Gargiulo family is very hospitable and the grounds are beautiful. The tasting room’s design is breath taking. From the use of the old St. Helena’s Basketball Courts hard wood floor to the unique light fixtures. I would describe it as cozy chic. There is also an array of the most amazing custom made guitars in the tasting room that they urge you to play. These guitars makes even the most novice guitar player sound stellar. April Gargiulo is one of the nicest people you will meet in the valley. She will guide you through the history and the story of her Families estate. The wine is stellar and the grapes are grown on some of the best land in napa(its neighboring screaming eagle). The vineyard dog Lily is also one of the sweetest pups youll meet. Vineyards like this is what makes me yearn to go back to Napa.
