I am traveling. First time to Oberlin to give a talk. Was staying at the Oberlin Inn and the food was not something that I like. I am a whole foods vegan. By accident, I found this place. I can only review the café portion and will give it five stars. I had the almond noodle dish which is vegan and gluten free. Reasonably priced at $ 4.95 and delicious. Unless mentioned other wise, the baked good are all vegan. Kudos to the yummy banana walnut muffin and apple chia scones. What I liked most about this place is the friendly service and the bulk teas in which you can make tea to sit and drink at the café. The baked goods are all handmade in their own oven. A lot of vegan baked goods I buy are way too sweet, but the banana muffin was not that sweet at all! So, if natural and vegan simple dishes and baked goods are your thing, I recommend this place!

The fresh out of the oven, still warm muffins are fabulous! I tried apple, banana with coconut streusel, and blueberry. Sitting in the homey area with sunlight streaming in, surrounded by glass jars of beans and herbs, reminded me of being in a co-op. Worth a stop in Oberlin.

I want to support local business, especially here in Oberlin. But I won’t shop here unless I really have to since they charge outrageous price for simple stuff. I would rather walk to IGA or buy stuff from Gibson’s before here, which is saying something. Also bring a bag, they charge for plastic bags.
