This place stinks! It is the slowest service on the planet. And when you finally do get a chance to order it’s over priced Breyers ice cream. Jakes we miss you!!!

I live around the corner! This place has been going down for years! The kids who work there are rude, the«hot fudge» is watered down Hershey’s syrup and the actual ice cream is Breyers and available across the street at Boyars! Save your money and time…

This is a cute little ice cream parlor in Ocean City, NJ. They have tons of Breyers flavors. Breyers is probably my favorite«main stream» ice cream brand. Compared to many others, they have fewer additives. I don’t recall seeing any soft serve at Johnny B Goode, but they do an awesome job serving up the hard stuff. Lots of cones and toppings if you are into that thing. They are also open until 11PM in the summer, perfect for an indulgent late night snack on your vacation!

WOW — I’ve never been so irked by an ice cream shop before — but it’s a minor miaricle this place is still in business… despite itself. We were walking through the neighborhood, and stopped for a late night shake. The place was crowded… and now I know why… the wait. The had 4 – 5 kids working the counter… but only one of them was working the outside window. She was taking one request at a time… took over 30 minutes to serve 2 families. I ordered our 3 milkshakes … and waited another 10 minutes for her to make them… we paid«extra» for«hard ice cream»…but the shakes were watery… just not even a hint of ice cream… It’s obvious that this place has no manager … training … or supervision… it’s just by shear lack of competition(no other ice cream shops around) that it’s even open… I’ll NEVER go back… especially for a $ 5.70 cup of weakly flavored water passing off as a milk shake… the machine at Wawa would have provided a MUCH better product, in 100th of the time. Take my advice and head to the boardwalk and let George’s Ice Cream satisfy your needs.

Friendly service, yummy soft serve ice cream which I am partial too :) lots of scoop ice cream flavors too! Eat inside in air condition or road side. A bit expensive two small soft serve dipped regular cones cost $ 9

Overpriced, even for Ocean City, and the portion sizes are small. The Johnny B Goode Ice Cream pie was a slice of pie that tasted premade and as though it had been thawed and refozen at some point. The texture was way off. On the upside, the fruit smoothies are really good.

This is a no frills sort of Ice cream parlor catering to locals and tourists. They have some imaginative specialties, offer Breyers brand of Ice cream and can get pretty busy on the weekends. I tried a pretzel cone with vanilla custard and Jimmies(sprinkles for those not in the south jersey area) I found the cone to be a bit on the thick side, everything was alright. Wife had the Peanut butter ripple, was pretty good. I did see some signs for children’s activities, but don’t remember the times or days.

We had the mango water ice and a caramel sundae. They were both delicious and the service was friendly. We visited around 9:30 pm and it was still crowded despite being a few blocks away from the boardwalk.
