This was the worst sushi restaurant I have ever been to. I didn’t have high expectation for a sushi and saki place in ocean city but it was awful. We ordered pad thai, some sort of sushi, and hot saki. The pad thai was bland without character or flavor. It did not look or taste like pad thai but our waitress assured us it was in fact there pad thai. The sushi was equally as bad, if not worse. It was made with a very grainy and undercooked rice. The grocery store sushi is better than this stuff. The saki jar, though pretty, did not saki the saki hot. I’m also pretty sure they burned off all the alcohol when they heated the saki. On a positive note, the restaurant is very clean and has a great view of the bay.

Went in for a big car show hosted in their parking lot, there was a bit of a wait and we were told to come back in 30 minutes. «feel free to walk around, I’ll remember you.» we were told. 20 minutes later and the 10 person party that was behind us is getting their table, and the hostess looks surprised and tells us that they are closing, and don’t have tables left. Who closes at 8:30PM on the Saturday night of a major event?!? She didn’t even«remember» us, and basically told us were out of luck. Won’t be coming here.

Just nasty! Once our add on roll came 10 min after ordering and before our original order which never came after 45 min we were done! The fish were in weird squares not even sure it was real and certainly not hand cut. Rice wasn’t cooked! The majority of it was still hard and dry! Sake was like toilet water and took 30 min! 2 day old Sushi from grocery stores is far better! Service was good I felt so bad for the woman, she constantly had to keep saying to everyone«I’ve been told we aren’t traditional» NOSHIT I’d eat at a soup kitchen before here.

Our hotel had a book of local restaurants and as sushi fans, we were excited to see the ad for this place. We waited until Thursday to go because the ad said«half price select sushi rolls on Thursday.» Our waitress was rude from the beginning and when I asked which rolls were half price she was very confused and said they do not do that. I explained to her that it was advertised and she said«well apparently its false advertising.» Ummm, that was it for me. Food was OK, service was awful.

Had some time to kill and have wanted to try this place so I went for some noodles but the menu is so limited that I decided to have a seaweed salad and a roll. The seaweed salad is propped up on a load of mixed greens which detracts from my appetite and the rice in the roll was both mushy and hard. Weird, right? I guess I’ll keep my 45th street visits to the craziness of St. Patrick’s Day.

Agree with prior mediocre reviews. View and décor are very nice. Food is only so-so. My husband really enjoys the phở. I’ve tried maki rolls and drunken noodles on four different occasions and was always somewhat disappointed.

Was disappointed in the quality of the sushi. The rice was tasteless, stale, and most definitely not«sticky». It also didn’t have that typical vinegar taste like you usually have in most sushi rolls. It reminded me of «Minute» rice. I ordered the recommended rolls from the sushi chef and was still not impressed. There was measly amounts of fish and filling. Check out OC Wasabi if you are craving sushi in OC and don’t waste your time here.

the food was very excellent, we didn’t try anything but their sushi and it was delicious! the staff there was friendly but their service was terrible… took them 10 minutes to get somebody to serve us. then after they got our food order, everyone came at once and asked if we ordered… the sushi was very yummy, and cheap. $ 5 for a California roll, $ 8 for a Rainbow roll… I don’t know if I would come back because of the staff… very small restaurant. overall, food good, service bad

Well, it’s a shame, because this restaurant has a beautiful view, tastefully decorated interior, friendly staff and service. They also have a great business logo! I was excited when we sat down to see the variety of sauces on the table. Sriracha, plum sauce, 5 spice. I got my hopes up despite the other Unilocal reviews. The food was the issue. Our pork dumplings appetizer was steamed and cooked perfect. A bit spicy on the sauce on top was unexpected. My daughter’s mac and cheese was definitely boxed Kraft, which I can deal with. I ordered spicy tuna roll, but it should have been a vegetable roll. There was a smidgen of tuna. A couple pieces had none. I added a picture of the roll. There was actually 8 pieces. My wife ordered Pad Thai with shrimp which was a decent portion. She thought it tasted like ramen noodles and very bland. I agree with the bland part and finished it with the Sriracha in it. There was really nothing about it that had a Thai flair except maybe 2 or 3 peanuts. Also the shrimps weren’t deveined. I decided not to order more sushi so I wasn’t disappointed. I thought the prices were reasonable, but you have to deliver the goods. I want some fish in my sushi. The menu was limited, and I get it, but don’t skimp, and deliver sub-par noodles at a noodle house. It’s seemed like a big focus was on the nice variety of beers and saki presented on a chalkboard by the sushi bar. I started this review with its«a shame» because it seems like the Drunken Noodle has a lot of potential. Hopefully, the head chef and owner will take a look at these reviews and put some passion into the food. Lack of it shows.

I like the service more than the sushi and I did carry-out! Very small sushi selection as well as tiny portions for a large price. Cool interior with waterfront views and apparently they’re more popular for their Asian fusion plates. Definitely won’t be returning for sushi but may return to try what else they have to offer.

This place was recommended by a few people but those people lack real sushi and noodle restaurant experience. The service was par to say the least! And the only thing drunk about this«noodle» was the staff and kitchen staff. I understand this is not Vegas but my Chick-Fil-A lunch before shopping at the outlets was 1000% better than this experience… Blue Fish that turned an old Hardee’s restaurant into a sushi place blows this shit hole out of the water. We own a few places in OCMD and we will tell all of our friends and renters to stay away from this place… Thanks for the terrible generic sushi and a cold and tasteless noodle dish… I would give this place a —

The service was pretty good but the food wasn’t fresh and the rice was stale. And the portions were too small for the sushi and too big for the noodles. It wasn’t the worst place but it was far from the best.

After realizing that our first choice had about an hour wait, we found the Drunken Noodles about 2 blocks down. I wasn’t expecting much since it was an Asian-Fusion restaurant in a beach town/seafood area, but we were all so starving and couldn’t wait any longer to make a decision on where to eat. The restaurant has a great view. The furthest wall is all lined up with big open windows overlooking the water and sunset. The service was great, very friendly and welcoming. The décor is nice, much nicer than you’d expect with gold plate chargers and black linen napkins with a matching gold napkin ring, but that is it on the Pro side. Moving along to the Con side, their food is neither authentic nor delicious. We ordered quickly as we were oh so hungry and I could feel my stomach already eating itself. Most of the table ordered the Drunken Noodles, their signature dish, hence why the restaurant came into existence to begin with. The drunken noodles were executed completely wrong. I didn’t have high expectations already coming in, knowing that this is not was not going to be a true authentic Asian house to begin with because of where we were and the majority of the population here, but it was a sad attempt of calling yourself a Sushi and Saki House. First, they used the wrong type of rice noodles, instead of the wide flat rice noodles, they used the skinnier noodles like you should for Phở or Pad Thai instead. There was no hint of fish sauce at all in the dish(or it was completely masked from the many other ingredients throw in) and it had an odd spicy/sweet sauce smothered all over it. Someone must have deemed Asians all love spicy/sweet red sauce and dumped a whole bottle’s worth into the bowl. Drunken Noodles(or any thai noodles dish) should never be swimming in any sort of runny sauce. They then threw in a bunch of random Asian ingredients. It’s like one of those dishes where as long as you throw in some mandarin orange slices and some wonton strips, you can call it an Asian Salad. The Drunken Noodles had tofu, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, shrimp, chili, etc., which are all fine, but not all dumped together in the same dish. Another friend had ordered some sashimi, even though it wasn’t on the menu. The manager came over and said that should be fine. I mean we all assumed any sushi chef can slice up some salmon right? Wrong again, the sushi chef decided to toss the sashimi in with some green onions. Who does that? Maybe to dress it up, but any sushi chef should know that sashimi is just very fresh raw fish sliced into thin pieces, but maybe The Drunken Noodles does it differently(and poorly). We had another friend who cannot eat pork and wanted to substitute the Pork Lo Mein with either chicken or beef. The waiter very bluntly just said«No,» not sure why, as there no explanation was given. It was so strange they could not make any accommodations; maybe their food is all pre-made as another Unilocal did mention. Long story short, The Con side heavily and obviously outweighs the Pro side. Do not come to The Drunken Noodle asking for anything, but what is exactly on the menu and expecting it to have any sort of a correct Asian flavor profile to it. Even if you are super hungry and your stomach is slowly eating itself, it is better to wait at the restaurant next door.

I would give this place zero stars if I can. This place was horrendous. Not a friendly place, our waitress was very rude and unfriendly. I order the hot and sour soup and it was more like cold and sour soup. Wasn’t a traditional hot and sour soup, it looked like curry sauce soup and it was super salty which what I am feeling right now after leaving the restaurant. I also got the drunken noodles, their special which was more like linguine with siracha sauce and not the real drunken noodles that Thai restaurant usually make. The linguine was also undercooked. Our table also had Mac and cheese and side salad which was horrible. the Mac and cheese taste like easy Mac. All and all this place Is a NOGO. Dont waste your money! P.S the second waiter spilled water all Over my pants and leg

I went here the other night after my friend recommended it. The food was not good at all and my waiter was extremely rude, it was sad because he was the head server. If this the type of people the drunken noodle is going to employee I will not be coming back.

Let me begin by saying, I almost never write a Unilocal review. But the the quality and service of this establishment was so appalling that I could not let it slide. First off this restaurant must cook their dishes in bulk and freeze and re-heat because they do not make any dietary accommodations. I asked if I could substitute the red meat in the Drunken Noodles for chicken and I was told by the waitress that it was not possible. They would not even make it vegetarian. Then I settled for the Thai Noodle soup which was a vegetarian dish that claimed to include tofu. There was no tofu. The soup had no flavor. It was basically a bowl of water with noodles. Furthermore, my friend who also ordered the soup found a piece of cardboard in it. Disgusting! The waitress came by and apologized, but when the managers came all he said was«oops» and picked up the cardboard. My other friend ordered the pork lo mein which he said tasted like microwave noodles. I would not be surprised if they have an entire shelf full of boxes of noodle express boxes that they bought in bulk from Costco. I am only giving this place 1 star because 1) I can’t give 0 stars and 2) the view of the water from the restaurant is pretty nice. If you like wasting $ 15 or enjoy eating cardboard then only would I recommend eating here.

Food was good. I had the pad Thai and it was very spicy and very good though my boyfriend said it lacked flavor other than spice. My boyfriend had the salmon sashimi and liked it but was disappointed by the size and quantity for the price. Miso soup is a good start but left me full before the rest of the food came. Definitely would come back!

All this place has is sushi dishes. They had a teriyaki chicken option listed on their chalkboard but the waiter had no clue how to place the order… so all I had was saki. The saki container is horrible to pour, we spilt half of the saki on the table. Not a fan of this place.
