With the one-two punch of a nor’easter and Hurricane Joaquin threatening to pull a Sandy, the leaky kitchen windows in our tiny little house got me very nervous this morning. Unsure what to do, or who could help, I called Ocean Grove Hardware and asked if someone could dash over and help solve a problem that could have been a major problem. The kind lady who answered the phone understood immediately and told me she’d get back to me. A few hours later she did and sent over two FANTASTIC geniuses who, in the span of 15 – 20 minutes, caulked the area above the windows, adjusted the storm windows and assured me we’d be fine now that Joaquin’s path would probably send the hurricane out to sea before it reached Ocean Grove. What a great hardware store, run by compassionate, kind people.

Great place have a little of everything and are very accommodating and we have always found what we need remnds me of Prowns in Red Bank As far as the guy who griped about the 45.00 beach chair I bought a 55.00 one and i love it. Go over to Asbury on Cookman there selling them for 85.00 lol And they rent great bikes as well Best of luck

Rental bikes are old and in terrible condition. Items for beach and other activities are over priced.

like a good small-town hardware store, they have a bit of everything. Staff was helpful and friendly. At the time of this writing, a weekly bike rental is cheaper than the place on the Asbury Park boardwalk. Just wish OGH was open longer on Sundays, but we’re not locals so we really can’t complain :-)

I wish the NEW owners much success… but really? $ 45.00 for a beachchair?
