This restaurant is actually on the other side of a bar and it is near South Point. We arrived at the Kona airport and frankly, should have eaten in Kona because we thought we were never going to find a restaurant by the time we reached Hawaiian Ocean View(also known as Ocean View.) Finally, we noticed on our GPS that there were some restaurants approximately 25 miles ahead of us. We knew we needed to find a place there because nothing else was showing up. Although we saw this restaurant on the side of the road, it wasn’t showing up on the GPS and decided to drive a few more blocks to the other restaurants. Some appeared to be out of business and the others didn’t look that great. We decided to turn around and go back to this restaurant because it looked cleaner on the outside. We placed an order for hamburgers, thinking we were going to get a run-of-the-mill burger. We were totally blown away. The bun appeared to taste and look like a «bakery» bun and the hamburger was awesome. My homemade potato chips were great, as were the fries(which appeared to be freshly chopped.) I can honestly say that if you find yourself in this area as you are driving to the Volcano National Park or South Point to-and-from Kona, do not hesitate to stop here and order a burger. The price and quality are excellent!
