Last Chance at Life Thrift Store

I used to loooove this thrift store but now that the guy that used to work here isn’t here anymore they really jacked up the price. Now they have a «designer» section for clothing that isn’t even designer! Sorry Ann Taylor Loft isn’t designer and they are charging $ 20 for a used dress. I can buy a brand new Ann Taylor loft dress for $ 20 when there’s a sale. That’s ridiculous prices. $ 20 for used toms shoes and more. All the animals that used to be here (like some dogs and birds) are gone too. I wonder if this place is even giving to the same cause or if they are just using the old thrift store name. I won’t be back.

Like the sign says if you like animals you should shop here or something. The proceeds go back to a dog rescue and like a lot of dog rescues they need money to keep the rescue going. The store is pretty big with just about everything from shoes to umbrellas and DVD’s. The prices are pretty good and it’s for a good cause because who doesn’t like puppies? So it may not be the best thrift store but they do have some good stuff and it’s worth checking out.

This place is awesome, not only are the owners cool as hell but we scored on an Olivia jack in the box for $ 3 which was $ 28 on Amazon then we got my daughter a doll very similar to American girl doll for just $ 7.

Great store for a great cause, Trevor is also one of the nicest guys there. Best thing is dogs are welcomed

First of all, love the name of the thrift shop! It was nicely organized with a lot of cool stuff. However, the shop needs light because it was a little dark inside. Overall, fun store:)

Decent selection, but expect to pay nearly retail for used items.
Oh, and if you want to whip out your smart phone to check out prices, expect to be swarmed upon by management.

Last Chance at Life Thrift store is a large thrift store whose profit’s go to benefit the Last Chance at Life Shelter which is an all-​breed rescue and adoption organization in San Diego County. Besides, being an awesome thrift store this place supports a great cause that you can find out more about here:
The store offers pretty standard fare: Books, apparel, shoes, furniture, records, bric a brac, books, videotapes, electronics, wall art and even new and gently used items for pets (cages, leashes and bowls and whatnot).
Okay, so there are so many great options to check out here but the sections that I would highly recommend checking out would be the book section as well as the furniture section. This place is literally bursting with an awesome selection of books AND they’re cheap. I found the selection of furniture here to be good. I bought an old industrial office chair here (
) for twenty five bones and I am feeling so proud of myself and I wish there were words that could describe the joy that I experienced after snagging such a good item.
I found the prices here to be EXCELLENT. Everything was reasonably priced and from my guess, the people at the store would have been willing to negotiate had I not been pleased with a price.
In addition to the excellent prices LCAL also offers excellent sales days. Here they are as followed:
Tuesday: No Tax (LCAL pays the tax)
Wednesday: 10% off military and seniors
Thursday: 50% off clothing
Friday: Pick one book for a dollar or less for free
Saturday: 10% off for everyone
Sunday– No tax 9−3pm
The staff here was lovely. I ended up buying a chair but was unsure if it was going to fit in my car and one of the employees was kind enough to let me bring it out of the store and see if it fit into my car before purchasing it with absolutely no problems whatsoever. On top of this, the other employee complimented me on my eyewear which was wonderful because my self-​esteem borders on low to disgraceful. Thanks guys!
So this place benefits cute animals in need, the stuff here is awesome and well priced, everyone who works here is friendly and I’m pretty sure this is probably the kind of establishment that might be okay to bring a cat on a leash into. What I’m trying to say is that it would be foolish not to go.

This was my first time going to this store. Trevor, the store director was so nice and helpful to me and my service dig Ike. Trevor even had a treat for Ike which was so nice because being a service dog is hard work. The store was very clean, wel lit and had so many different items! They have a Huge Christmas display and when it, s that time of year I now know where to go. I won’t be waiting that long until my next visit. I found a collectible from my childhood in the glass case at the back. It was a music box stil in great shape I can’t wait to get some things together to donate and would also like to know if they need volunteer to help with the shop from time to time. I had a very wonderful time looking at everything. If you ned crutches or a walker don’t pay all that money at cvs, check out their big selection. The paperback selection was large as well. We look forward to returning soon

Huge store with loads of inventory. I stop by every few weeks to see what they have and nearly always end up buying something. Well worth a visit if you’re a bargain hunter. Forgot to mention the best part about this store, all proceeds go to the animal rescue — Last Chance at Life All Breed Rescue. That’s a good enough reason for me to shop here.

Huge thrift store in Oceanside filled with great gently-​used items — household, kitchenware, artwork, furniture, clothing — you name it! The proceeds support the animals in the care of Last Chance At Life Animal Rescue. This rescue takes on medical cases of animals that would otherwise not be adopted, fixes them up and finds them new homes. Wonderful group of animal advocates doing great work to save lives!

This thrift store has a ton of great stuff. Great organization, using the money to help animals. This rescue is absolutely amazing!
