Cashier lady was a snob, I had to check myself before I said anything I regretted. Lucky I was tiered I didn’t have enough in me to bitch her out. So that’s service for you at this place. That being said food was pretty good, not your full on authentic Chinese food but pretty close. Price was reasonable and free refills on your drinks was a plus. Complimentary water was not filtered here like some other places are but I didn’t expect it to be. Just thought I’d mention that since the food here makes you super thirsty, perhaps it’s loaded with MSG? Not sure. But hey if your ever in the area this is an ok place to eat.

Love the food, and the quantity is worth the price. It’s the noodles my kids love and they order it plain, that’s how good it is!

2nd time here this week! Once for dinner, today for lunch! Pros: Affordable, good portions of tasty food. Cons: service is lacking, parking is limited & the fountain drinks, lids, napkins & to go boxes are all right near the the cash register where u order & pay. I’d suggest relocating something as its always congested

Shrimp fried rice and shrimp chow mein are AMAZING !!! The girl at the front could have at least smiled but other than that … Great place for Chinese!

Me and my daughters got sick eating there recently, we all had the family size chicken/corn soup. We all ate it except my hubby. Me and my daughters got so sick for days even my 2 year old. Health inspectors need to go do an inspection. We have seen meat in buckets on the floor while walking to the restroom in the back. I know your NOT supposed to do that in the food industry, especially uncovered. I don’t think they clean the high chairs, it was so sticky, the soda machines are obviously dirty. I will never take my family to eat there again.

The food is a five star on my book I have not been here in a long time. But my chicken was not as soft like other times my vegetables where not cooked they needed like 3 mins more too I honestly don’t know what happened today I am kind of disappointed. The service was not that great either maybe bc the owner wasn’t here today. Employees on their cell phones when they should be working taking selfies really. And giving customers dirty looks or maybe that’s just how she looks at people very Unprofessional if you ask me. Like I said I was disappointed bc I have had better service and seen better service before. Cashiers customer derived skills are not good we never got a smile and a hello welcome nothing I don’t like people talking over me when I am ordering that’s rude

Exactly what you should expect with a Chinese place. Friendly fast service, great tasting food, but a little bit strange inside and questionable… Been here twice and enjoyed it both times.

Was not happy with my Order, gotten off work, was starving. Stop in since it was on my way home. Got an order to go, food was bland, as if it had been under a heat lamp all day, meat tasted dry and not well seasoned. Didn’t find this out until I had gotten home. Have not been back…

I miss the days of living in Long Beach and my short time in Artesia with good Chinese food spots just an arms reach away. I love North County San Diego to death, but one thing that it’s missing here is a strong Asian food scene along the lines of Chinese food. So whenever I am craving Chinese food, I will try the random spots I find via Unilocal, even if the reviews aren’t the greatest. And that is how I have ended up at Quik Wok twice. I needed to satisfy my Chinese food cravings and needed something close by. Walnut Shrimp: My biggest weakness is Walnut Shrimp, however terrible it tastes. The first time I got it, the shrimp was over battered. This time around, it was not as over battered, but it still wasn’t the best. I actually might prefer Panda Express’ Walnut Shrimp over this place. It’s actually not as pricey here for the dinner entrée compared to Panda Garden, I think it’s around $ 10 – 11 here. Orange Chicken: Another American Chinese dish I cannot stay away from. I think it’s more batter than actual chicken here and I find it not saucy enough here. Noodles: I got some sort of flat noodles the first time and remember them needing more flavor. I wish there was better Chinese food in North County! But I will keep eating the mediocre stuff until I get my butt to LA County for the real stuff.

It doesn’t matter which girl they have working the register, they are all super rude and not helpful. Ask them a question and they get on the defensive, what? Place does not take Discover Card. It looks like a filthy mess back where they cook. 5STARS!!! 5 stars cause they have good sesame chicken.

Quik Wok – the name says it all. Consistent, cheap, no-frills Chinese food, minus the«C.» A lot of people have touched on how there isn’t a ton of hole-in-the-wall Chinese places around here so I think that helps Quik Wok stay around. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s not bad. If you’re craving some Chinese and nothing else will do you will get your fix here. Rarely mind-blowing, rarely-bad. You can get a big plateful of food with soup for about 6 bucks during lunch and eat it in the small cafeteria-style lobby by the quarter press-on tattoo dispenser. They also do have quite a bit of vegetarian and tofu dishes. Come here knowing what it is and you won’t be disappointed, but if you want a taste bud tantalizing Chinese cuisine experience plop down the extra couple bucks for that«C» and go to Chin’s.

If Unilocal would allow me to rate this place 0 stars I would. HORRIBLE customer service, literally THEEWORST customer service I’ve ever experienced. The Oceanside location is much much better with respect to quality of food and customer service. My family, my friends, my coworkers and ANYONE else I ever meet will not give this place any business. Ridiculous and a joke.

This place is pretty good. I went for lunch with my friends and had gotten the honey walnut shrimp lunch with hot and sour soup. My shrimp were good and crispy. I liked the food for what it was… Nothing much else to rave about, it’s a step up from something like Panda Express, and I like Panda.

I used to like this place because they had good quality meat and low prices .and he swears that the recipe is the same, even though it tastes like cut-rate Panda Express. I think that this place gets three stars because its sauces pays pretty good and it’s not too expensive Why is it that you can’t find consistent quality Chinese restaurant anywhere in Oceanside? If anyone knows of a place like this feel free to message me.

Stopped here last night with the family for a late dinner. The good– The food was prepared at superman speed! We were hungry, ordered, got our drinks, sat down for 2 minutes and half the food was being brought to our table! Wow we were impressed! The food was delicious too! We ordered sweet and sour chicken and haven’t had delicious sweet and soir chicken in quite some time. The chicken was cut in fairly big pieces which was nice to have something more then breading on each piece and the best part was that it was crispy! The sauce wasn’t the bright pink sauce we are use to seeing with sweet and soir chicken either which was a nice change. The sauce was incredible and we ate every bite on the plate. Next was Mongolian beef. The beef was so tender it melted in our mouths. The green onions and onions were sauteed to perfection leaving them just a tiny bit crispy and not soggy like other places. The dish was very flavorful and filling. We also got the family combo seafood dish with mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, shrimp, and scallops. Same thing with this. Delicious sauce, everything perfectly cooked and more then 5 shrimp on the plate. Could have used more then 2 scallops but regardless it was delicious. The salad dressing on the salad we ordered was also incredible! It was some type of lemony dressing mmmm so good. Price was good as well. For 3 entrees, an order of fried rice, a side salad and 4 drinks was $ 50 The not so good– We ordered some fried rice — the meat was cooked great but everything else about the dish was mediocre. It didn’t give us that wow factor. Not anything bad just would order something else next time instead. The side salad– aka a bowl of cut iceburg lettuce and sliced carrots. That’s it. :(the dressing was great though as described above. And lastly the only drawback about our dining experience here… The lobby felt pretty dirty. The tables and chairs looked greasy, the floors kinda messy, overall feel of the lobby was that it needed a bottle of bleach and some TLC. Normally we would leave. If the lobby doesn’t look right, usually the food follows suit. But it was late and our options were slim. So we stuck it out and ordered anyway. After eating we left and as we got in the car watched them shut off the lights and some of the staff left(within 2 minutes of us walking out the door) dishes were left on the tables, lobby not cleaned up, soda fountain not broke down to some nozzels etc. And definitely not any sweeping or mopping?!? Ewwwww that can’t be up to code. That’s nasty. I wish I could give this place 5 stars cause for the food it earned it. But really, that is nasty. I wonder what the back kitchen looks like if the lobby is left messy…

Not the best fast Chinese food I’ve had but this place has an A rating & is reasonably priced. The lunch special portion size is definitely filling. I gave 3 stars mainly because of a A rating, but personally the orange chicken & house special beef sauces are both heavy handed with the sugar. It needs a little more balance between the sweet/savory/spicy! All in all the 3 or 4 times I’ve been here have been a decent experience!

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had! We ordered chicken chow mein, some kind of beef, and egg rolls. The smell alone was enough and it all went to the trash. Needless to say, will never go back. It’s unfortunate because it’s close to home, but no thanks!

I gave 5 stars because I don’t think you can find a better place for ‘fast food’ Chinese. Hands down this is high end restaurant quality Chinese food in a strip mall setting here in Oceanside. I’ve been eating here occasionally since 2011 and I’m never disappointed. Service is quick, food is made to order and is hot, delicious and fresh. Expansive menu, tons of items, something for everyone. I ate like a pig last time I was here(check out my photo on Unilocal). I don’t think you could ask for a better meal in a casual setting like Quik Wok has to offer. I’ve spent twice as much for Chinese food and the quality wasn’t as good as QW.

It’s hard to find decent Chinese food in this area, or even Chinese food that doesn’t belong to some chain with a surname like Panda or Chang. Fortunately, just across the O-side border, we have Quik Wok. It’s nothing fancy, nothing over-the-top wow, nothing that would even register in SF, but the $ 7 lunches are very filling, fresh-made, and very tasty. The yardstick by which I measure any quick Chinese food, the Kung Pao Chicken, is adequately spicy with decent sauce and not too much oil. My fortune cookie from today said«You are going to take a trip to the seaside.» How did they know? Time to play those lotto numbers on the back.
