Steamatic of San Diego

We called Steamatic to help us with a bathroom flood in 2008 and have called them back exclusively for water issues and carpet cleaning ever since. The guys are great and do fantastic work. They have state-​of-​the-​art infrared cameras so they don’t need to punch a bunch of holes in your walls to figure out what’s going on. If you want it done right call Steamatic … they are the best!

We had Steamatic out to refinish a kitchen sink and noticed after finished the job that the coverage was thin. Pit markings (not uniformly smooth) were still evident after the re-​finish job. We were told they could not repair as it was a custom color and repair would not match. So unfortunately we accepted the explanation and paid the bill.
Within 1 week small chips appeared, after multiple calls and a few cancelled appointments they finally showed up to inspect. They indicated chips were not included in warranty although you can see the underlying area where the chips are do not appear to be prepared properly (smooth, not abraded).
This is a sink, it is not like we were throwing an engine block up on the sink. We were disappointed to find out that they indicated it would cost another $ 400 some odd to re-​repair!
We agreed that they would have a manager call us to discuss options but 3 months have passed and not word. Multiple calls and still no word from them.
Very disappointing.

In the midst of a mess, the last thing you want is people doing the work who don’t keep you updated on what’s going on and the mess just drags out for days and days on end — often feeling like you’re an afterthought. When you’re sleeping on the floor in the living room, you need to have hope that there’s an end in sight. While the guys are very nice and quite friendly, that’s just not enough when your home is turned upside down and you just want it to be over.

If you decide to use them for restoration be sure to get all your terms written out. We had a leak behind the fridge, agreed on a price for them to come. They came took out the dry wall, put in a fan and said they would come back to pick up the fan and fix the dry wall. They came back to pick up their fan and left without fixing the drywall. We tried calling, they did not return our calls. We blocked our number, they did pick up and said they usually don’t fix the drywall. Please be clear about your expectations so you’re not left with a hole in your wall.

Fana and Preston were absolutely wonderful! They are very professional, on time, good natured, efficient, and cleaned my carpets with great attention to detail and hard work. They certainly stayed true to what Fana told me was his (and his brother’s) motto — to «Do the job as if it were my house.» I have a big dog and my carpets needed deep cleaning; Fana and Preston made them look like brand new. I give them the highest recommendation and am happy to have found my own carpet cleaning contact for all future needs.

This company was referred to us by a mold company and they said these guys are the best. And they are. Very friendly, professional, efficient and reasonable. They protected the walls with guards and were very careful in our north county home. The carpets? Totally clean and beautiful! We are grateful for the recommendation and we highly recommend Steamatic!

I’ve used Steamatic a few times now. They are professional and strive to make everything right. They’ve cleaned a few houses for me, and some of these carpets were nasty. When they got done, the carpet looked like new. Some spots on one room needed more attention, so they came back the next day and got it all cleaned up.
My dad has used them a few times also for multiple properties. His experience with them was the same as well. These are great people to deal with and the price is right. Thanks for all your help Okalani.
