Dollar $TORE of Ojai

This store is either in the process or already has moved to a new location in Oak View.
I think it’s important to support our local run businesses and this store is a terrific addition to the community.
After working several years at a store in Ojai, that began in early 2000 to carry dollar items, it was apparent rather quickly the demand for such a store in this vastly overpopulated community and that was over 15 years ago.
Fast forward to 2015
This store is in no part one of the «chain» dollar stores so that is important to note right away. These are your neighbors opening an independent Dollar $tore, which carries much of the same items the competitors carry, except you don’t have to drive 20 or 30 minutes down the hill to get those two things you need, you can just hop on over to your friendly neighborhood store and pick it up.
They have kitchen supplies, pet supplies, stationary, balloons, candy, party supplies, cleaning supplies… What’s not to love… Save a little fuel and a possible case of road rage and shop local.

Great store! Clean, good selection, fantastic service with new items being added often. If you don’t see something that you need, ask, and they will try and get it for you! A minority of the items cost a little bit more, but that is common with independently owned dollar stores and well worth the money saved by not having to drive down the hill and to support the owners who seem like just really nice people.

C’mon people! THANK GOD there’s this GR8 little store by McD’s & Subway U don’t have drive down hill or pay crazy prices in town for odds & ends! SUPPORT THIS BIZ or it’ll B GONE! GR8 owners tryin make it E Z 4 U& me! Stop by I know there’s something there U need!

I rather go to the Dollar Tree store since they have a bigger selection but figure I would give this store a try, some things are NOT a dollar they are $ 2.50 I just think it’s funny how some items are not a dollar ! It’s called Dollar Store right? I would come back again if I didn’t feel going to the dollar tree store but his store is okay.
