Ojai Police Department

Had a horrible encounter with 2 officers of the Ojai police department this afternoon. #1 Brian (last name unknown because he would not allow me to take a picture of his name tag or provide his badge number. #2 M. Kumacho is the second officer who was harassing me and my girlfriend. They conducted themselves in a manner that was threatening and completely inappropriate. I have always respected the law and respected the officers of the law. But these two individuals did not uphold themselves in proper way that deserves respect. I was not pulled over for a moving violation, I was pulled over on the side of the road minding my own business taking a nap «. But to them I was suspicious and therefore needed 3 patrol cars and 3* officers to ask me questions for almost an hour. Once I asked the questions — did I break the law of any kind? Are you writing me a citation? And can I have my ID back. Brian’s response was no and no I’m going to keep you here and ask as many questions as I like… I am a resident of Ojai and have been for about 10 years and in all my days I’ve never felt unsafe here. These two police officers need to be suspended or expelled from the force. They used curse words and invaded my vehicle without permission while forcible removing my girlfriend from the car. I asked for the commanding officer in charge and they refused to give me that information as well. These cops are corrupt or have no regard for the law. But action needs to be taken. Everyone who is a resident of Ojai beware of the shady police force here. I do not feel protected. And will be pursuing charges against these officers along with a formal written complaint.
