Soul Centered – A Metaphysical Shoppe

Enjoyed the store very much. Smaller than I expected and not as many crystals as I had hoped but my main comparison is in Sedona and I believe a bit spoiled. Staff were friendly and I was able to look for as long as I wanted.

Stones come with info cards which is great as a reminder, for someone new to healing stones or someone who doesn’t keep a crystal bible handy.

A few things stood out right away to me. Friendly and warm shop, great selection of books and even a card area «try before you buy» in my own words. I recently ventured in after living here in Ojai for several years. I am not sure what I was looking for but can say whatever called me to visit was worth it. I bought myself a few new goodies.

This is one of my favorite places in Ojai. The staff is amazing, and the amount of care, support and wisdom they offer their clients is beyond anything I’ve experienced at a metaphysical store like this. If you’re ever in the Ojai area, gift yourself by going to this golden gem.

If your a skeptic like I am you might be thinking, why am I even writing a review. I’ve learned with age to be more opened minded and I have a natural curiosity and desire to learn. The staff in this shop are so knowledgeable and patient, they will answer any questions you have. The store has a calming vibe and there is so much to look at and learn you won’t get bored.

Incredible shop!!! The OJAI community is so very lucky to have this high level of knowledge and experience for people to learn and shop! Great selection of books crystals and sincerely caring staff. Don’t miss this treasure of Ojai. The owner is incredibly talented too!!!

Great selection of crystals, books, oracle cards, and more! One of my favorite places to visit in Ojai since I began coming here a little over 5 years ago. Now I live in Ojai and enjoy stopping in the shop for a little energy re-​charge, as well as taking friends to go crystal hunting when they come into town :) Great spot, great location, and nice vibes.

I love Ojai and this store is the essence of the town. I have shopped here several times with friends and always left happy. It is a community store. The feel is so much better than Journey Home. Here I feel like it is a shop and not a weirdo magnet. Staff is friendly, shop focused and drama free. Just wished they had a location in Ventura. I drive the 15 miles.lol. it is well worth it.

Whenever I visit Ojai, I always make it a point to drop by to visit my very special friend, Diane Silvester, the Owner of the Soul Centered Book Shop. Diane is a very insightful Gemini with an effervescent personality that fills the room and embraces you warmly with her loving presence. Diane’s store offers everything from crystals, books, incense, jewelry, statues, tarot decks and a wide variety of «all things metaphysical and spiritual.» Whenever you come to the Valley be sure to treat yourself to a special place that embodies the very heart of the Ojai experience.

It really pains me to write this review. I desperately wanted to love this place; my girlfriend and I were both so excited to come here and explore their many wares. I needed to replace a tarot deck I had been using for 10 years, and I was hoping to have a cool conversation about it, seeing as though all the other reviews speak of the wonderful people working here.
We came on Monday mid morning, 12÷22÷14, and upon walking in the door, the woman at the counter could be heard commiserating/​complaining to someone on the phone. I kind of let it go and browsed the shop for a minute, waiting patiently for her to get off the phone. There were a number of people in the store, and after a few minutes it became clear to me that this wasn’t an important call that had to happen in that moment; it could have been saved for when there were no customers.
Eventually she got off the call, and I promptly went up to the counter and explained to her that I was looking for a new tarot deck, telling her that I needed to retire my last deck after 10 years and that it was a pretty sad day. She just kind of looked at me, and then I asked her if she did tarot. She responded with a tone deaf response of, «no, I don’t do it,» and then pointed to the display case behind me. I asked her if she had a particular deck in stock, and she said that they might have it in the back. She didn’t offer to go back and check, she didn’t offer anything in the way of pleasantries, she basically had vibe that screamed negativity.
I had to ask her to go check in the back for me, and when she came back, there was another woman at the counter who wanted to check in on some of the stock she was selling out of the store. The woman explained that she wasn’t the person to talk to, and that she could call or come back tomorrow and could write down her name on a paper. The woman handed her a pen, and the customer said, «OH HEY! This is our pen! (from their products),» to which the woman just looked at her and said nothing.
At this point I walked over to my girlfriend and started to ask her if she got a weird vibe, to which she cut me off and affirmed exactly that same thought.
I would have purchased that tarot deck with even the slightest, smallest, most infinitesimally small piece of caring or customer service.
I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed

Just had a reading today by Sierra… Quite possibly the BEST tarot reading I have had so far in my life. And I have several friends in my network who are Psychics, Mediums, etc. However I really felt at ease with everything she was telling me, and quite honestly I didn’t go in there with any specific questions or guidance, I just wanted a general reading. It was only 15 mins, but the information that came through was powerful, hit me straight on my solar plexus and I was emotional and was crying, I have never had a reading like this before, but it was life changing to say the least. I will definitely be back again after I do what is suggested and work on myself… Wow! AMAZING!!!

This is a great shop to go to for books and the wonderful selection of tarot decks. It is awesome to view and look through a deck to make sure one can work with it.

This is absolutely my favorite store in Ojai! I have been going there for years and it’s the best metaphysical store out there, bar none. I lead metaphysical/​Spiritual retreats very often in Ojai, sometimes even once a month, and the very last stop is Soul Centered. I feel like it’s a «treat» for all of my clients. After a transformational workshop, and visiting the most mystical spots in Ojai, we then conclude at this magical shop where my clients can purchase a special gift for themselves. The employees are soo incredibly nice and they all have magical powers… yaay! I enjoy talking to them and hearing about their gifts. If you are ever in Ojai… don’t forget to go to Soul Centered. And even if you are not going to Ojai, make the drive out there just to check out Soul Centered. You will be there for hours and you will not even notice. It’s just such a fun place!

Your quintessential metaphysical shop. It has everything you need. My favorite things to do is see what calls to me and that is something you can easily do in this shop. It has a very heart centered warm energy. The woman working was kind. They had tons of tarot and oracle decks I had never seen. Easy to find something new for your path here.

For all your spiritual needs … from books to gemstones and everything in between. Also a lot of local products … for instance white sage cleansing brushes from the surrounding mountains

Others might imitate, but these people wrote the book when it comes to spirituality and the metaphysical.
Soul Centered is a clean, lovely store filled with beautiful merchandise. I always bring people new to Ojai here for the genuine stones, crystals, metaphysical, and spiritual books, music, sculptures, candles, incense, and I could just go on and on.
In addition, Soul Centered has been very gracious to the Ojai community. They’ve put on free concerts, philanthropic fundraisers for worthy organizations as well as other cultural events in their beautiful geodesic dome.
Check them out on your next visit to town. You won’t be disappointed.

This store is fantastic! The energy of the staff is warm and welcoming and the selection of crystals is fantastic. I don’t normally leave reviews but I just wanted everyone to know how great this store is. Every time I come to Ojai I make a point to stop by this store.
The store updates frequently and is constantly evolving. For those that get the chance, check out the dome in back. This store is so cool and unique and I wish more businesses put the love, care and attention to detail that Soul Centered does.

What a gem! The staff was beyond friendly and helpful, with super smiles. Even the other buyers were friendly and chatty which I just adore when seeking such: which I’m more apt to do in a metaphysical sort of shop as I know I’m more likely to find kindred spirits.
I am only sad this is so far from me, but it’s a new must on my Ojai /​SoCal visits! The owner puts together a fabulous e-​mailer that leaves me salivating to attend their awesome classes /​groups.
I second Athena’s comment: go on a Sunday so you can enjoy the Farmers Market a short walk away and make the most of your visit!

Nestled in the middle of nowhere Ojai, you had better have a good reason for wandering into this store either through cosmic intuition, or mistake.
With a humble staff of ladies that are keen metaphysical experts, they will assist you with anything you might need to evolve to your next density light-​body – be it books, power crystals, incense, chakra charts, etc.
My buddy bought some crystals to wear and they made sure to burn sage incense over the crystals to purify them. See I told you, these ladies ain’t messin around.
I was lucky to hear Dolores Cannon speak here for a 3-​hour lecture inside THE DOME. If you haven’t been inside THE DOME, well, you’re missing out.
