Nice market with a number of the staple items. The prices are reflective of being a bit remote from competition, but fair enough compared to eating out all the time(was in town for a visit). They have a modest selection of grocery items and produce, and their deli items look yummy. Not a bad place to puck up a few essentials or as an alternative to eating out.

Unexpectedly, Best gourmet burger. When you walk up to the counter to order, your handed a sheet to select what ingredients you want to order. They offer many fresh ingredient selections including choice of cheese bread, avocado, bacon. I don’t usually order burgers, but this burger hit a grand slam and served to order.

This review is for food to take away and eat. I was in the other day and ordered a burrito for lunch. I ordered a smoked tri-tip Barito. I’m very picky about meats smoked meats and barbecued meats so I was a little curious as to how this is going to taste. The guys rolled me a burrito that was the most massive Barito I’ve had for nine dollars in a long time. The smoked tri-tip was very good very good very good! All of the other ingredients in the Brito were perfectly balanced and for what I paid for the size of the burrito it was really good I would highly recommend getting burritos from Westridge market for lunch!

It’s a pleasure to shop here… great meats, gourmet items like fine olive oils etc. Wines are also good and not bad value if you choose carefully. Prices are pretty decent, especially with the weekly specials. Really like the accessory items like high end paper goods(napkins etc.) and gift possibilities. All in all, a credit to our little town.

Bought Veal here on two different occasions. Meat was rancid both times. I was hoping the second time they wouldn’t make me drive back to the store to return it but they were unwilling to work with me. Very disappointing. I don’t think I can shop here anymore. Their pricing is high so I would have expected Bette quality.

I live in Ventura and regularly drive to Ojai just to shop at Westridge Market(the little one, I haven’t tried the new location). Since it’s about a 40 minute drive for me, I’ll grab something from the deli(their burgers are the best, and cheap) and drive up Maricopa Highway. Just make a day of it. Awesome store, mostly local produce, and really nice employees.

If you have Whole Foods problems, go here. The only difference is that it’s smaller and the workers are without tattoos and youth. I get cheese, sausage, and booze. I took my son back for round two: milk and booze.

They got everything here. From deli to liquor to fresh meat, Westridge Market has them. It’s a walking distance from the Capri Hotel. This local market has this huge section for wine and alcohol. That’s the best part because we came here to pick up a good wine. The staff were definitely personable and helpful and browsing each isle was more like finding new products and items that you haven’t discovered before. And yes, I found a few. Most of them were the hip, organic and healthier version of chocolates and snacks and locally-made chilled bottled drinks. Rice pudding was delicious. They sell fresh flowers and plants too!

I love this grocery store. I always go to this one and not the one further down the Main Street, I don’t know why! Habit I guess. They have a great selection of so many things such as organic fruits and veg, ready to go sandwiches and snacks. Their wine selection is also very good and reasonable, I got a nice Malbec there for $ 11.99 which I now pick up a few of everytime I’m there. They have a cold pressed coffee station! I mean, whaaaat!?! There are 4 flavors? I think. Tried two of them so far, well worth a try. Clean and pure coffee! Next to that is their sandwich counter, so far I’ve only had their breakfast sandwiches, which are awesome! Freshly made right there on the griddle. This is not a place of you are in a rush, but you are in Ojai, nothing is rushed here! This is definitely my go-to place to stock up when I’m in Ojai!

Great store although can be overpriced on some items. Friendly and helpful staff. The only things missing are more free range meats & poultry, and Morningstar breakfast sausages.

I head straight to the back of the grocery store where they have a deli and fresh meat counter. I especially look forward to the weekends when they bbq the tri tip, it’s my favorite. The guys behind the counter are always nice and helpful when I’m looking for a certain cut of meat. I highly recommend this place to everyone and look forward to checking out their new location where starr market used to be

I love this little market as it is easy on the senses, charming, and carries local foods! I specifically want to comment on the meat/deli department. I’m not a meat eater so when my Great Dane Audrey required a chicken and rice only diet while recovering from her cancer surgery, thankfully I was able to count on Courtney and the crew there at the deli counter. I explained the situation and they happily offered to debone and de-skin the chicken for me. I’ve been going to pick this up every few days and I feel like these folks are family. So caring, asking about how my pup is doing. This is the kind of customer service that makes someone want to go back for more. And I surely have and will continue to do so. :^)

I tend to come to Westridge market when 1) I want to walk to the grocery store or 2) I want something artisan. Well, now I have a new reason to come here — their deli counter has Sweet Street cake slices! You heard right. Sweet Street — my favorite cake manufacturer in the US — products for sale by the slice in the deli case. I took home a slice of «Big Chocolate Cake» and«Red Velvet Cake». The Big Chocolate Cake is the same product that Zin Bistro in Westlake Village serves. I tried to mimic their presentation at home by adding some fresh berries and heating up the cake slice. Heavenly! I had the red velvet for breakfast this morning. Very deicious cake with a high ratio of icing to cake(not really in a bad way, but almost overwhelming). In between the many layers of cake were layers of cream cheese icing and also chocolate sauce. The cake had chocolate chips and pastels on top. Super good when heated just enough that the insides got melty. Total cost for 2 cake slices to go — $ 9. Cost for single slice at Zin Bistro including wait-service, fruit, berries, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, ice cream — $ 10. I was VERY happy to have this available to me close to home and ready any time I want it instead of having to go out to a fancy restaurant. The man at the deli counter also said they can order the whole cake. He estimated the cost at $ 60. If I bought from Sweet Street’s website it would be $ 90 plus shipping so I guess he gets a good wholesale discount. I’d definitely consider getting a whole cake from here if I have a big event and a lot of people to feed and I want them to eat the best! Side note, my husband and I bought several hot-foods from their deli at the same time I bought the cake and while none of the foods quite matches the WOW of the cake, they were all good. We had the pulled pork, chicken cordon blu, tri tip, and mac and cheese(regular kind). I also got an Asian salad from their pre-made salad area. It was not very fancy and didn’t come with dressing, but was also very inexpensive $ 3.50 for a good quantity, so I was happy. Staff, as always, was very friendly and helpful. I enjoy shopping here.

I came here on a whim when I was visiting Santa Barbara but staying near Ojai. Really cute little market right next to town. Quite small, but they have pretty much everything in terms of groceries. Prices are relatively steep(probably comparable or more than Whole Foods). The best part is their hot & prepared foods section in the back. They also have an extensive alcohol selection, and incredibly fresh produce section. Surprising how they can pack so much into such a small market!
