recently walked in to tan and was told. make sure you get the right location when you review us next time
so, to be thorough, I came back on to check the location and I did review the correct tanning establishment. correct bat time, correct bat channel, correct bat cave
scarface playing on loop was an over the top of the head reference, obviously
no biggie, that
but still… the free tans that you give to new members to give to friends so they can experience the At The Beach experience
Maybe the corporate overlords will read this and realize when you have only three locations in one of the top five largest geographical cities in the country… that it’s a little onerous (tough, G on May, tough) to demand new guests live within three miles of the location they are in… your stores aren’t spread out enough to handle the OKC city limits, what if a farm girl wanted to tan at your store?
I upped the stars because they have the beds I was used to in San Francisco, I just drink some mental koolade before i come in and have my eye gear in my hand, hand over the fob, do the thumb print. do people seriously try to scam and tan on some one else’s membership to tan that the TSA security level check is necessary? not a read of ATB, certainly, just a general question about the tanning populace in the region… and go do my time in the clamshell, taking off my eye guards every so often to double check the timer was set correctly, because it hasn’t been at times, and when you mention the fact in passing, a snappy «Well, you should have gotten out early then!» is the weakest, funniest, can’t you do better reading I’ve had in almost six decades of queer bead reads from my people…
the staff does their job, the place is spotless, the towels are great, the bulbs aren’t years old, it’s a pretty good price for a monthly unlimited membership, the hours work for me, there’s always parking, there’s a Subway in the strip mall, and a ham place too… all in all, not bad at all

Bad bad experience at this place. I normally tan at Caesars but I decided to try ATB because it was closer to home. I signed up for 30 tans for $ 20, but turns out, in order to tan in any bed other than the first level, I had to pay an extra $ 10 each time. I went in to tell them to cancel my contract, I wanted out, and they made me wait for almost 2 hours, while they skipped me multiple times to take care of other customers. I had to work at 4:00, and I didn’t get out of there until 3:00, when I went in at 12:30. They were extremely rude to me. I agree that this place is a scam with nothing but a bunch of stuck up idiots working the counter. I went straight back to Caesars, and will never go back to ATB.

I’m not a regular «tanner» nor do I ever plan to be – it’s just not my thing and no disrespect to those who are. And here’s the thing, I clearly stated that up front when I first came into this location. My situation was this: to get just a little color prior to going on a vacation and that’s it… nothing more, nothing less. Yet in the end, I got pushed towards the most high end package at $ 90/​month and what I believe was a 2 year contract. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! How does «I need 2 – 3 tanning sessions prior to my trip» turn into $ 90 worth of monthly services for a 2 year commitment? I’m am so mad that I even let them get $ 40 out of me. This place reminds me of the high pressure sales tactics at Mathis Bros which is why I avoid that place at all cost. Folks, there are better options and I strongly consider that you explore them. Know what to expect and what you are getting into every time you set foot into a tanning salon. I left this place with an awful feeling that words can’t describe. I’m not trying to be overly dramatic because I understand they need to run a business. But at the same time, if companies such as this fail to consider the best needs of their customers and not squeeze every cent out of them on the first visit, it will struggle longterm. This place is terrible and I will let others know as well.

Super friendly service. Great hours! Love using the versa spa here! I really like the pricing on the package I got. There are a lot of options and various prices… this place is one if the most affordable tanning salons I’ve encountered!

Here’s the deal. At the Beach gets a bad rap for a few reasons:
1) It’s a tanning salon. You’re already sort of mad at yourself for being here in the first place. Why is tanning still a thing?
2) You have to buy an expensive monthly package, or literally pay through the nose for a single tan. So you’ve opted for the monthly package, even though if you actually paid full price, no more often than you get your lilly-​white legs in here, you’d still come out ahead. So now you’re also mad at yourself for being wasteful.
3) Then, each and every time you walk in, you’re held captive by the kids working there, trying desperately to up sell you on creams and mists and lotions and potions to extend the life of your tan. Guess what, I’ve got the cadillac plan. I don’t need all that stuff because I can just roll back in here and get another spray tan. It doesn’t help that almost all the employees are at the best indifferent or at the worst rude until the moment you buy something from them. And, the niceness only lasts for that single visit. Two days later, you’re expected to buy something else if you’re to be treated well. This isn’t universally true, but it’s true often enough that it is not untrue.
But, back to point one. It’s a tanning salon. You’re here to get a tan. They can give you said tan. Moreover, and more importantly to me, they have the best sunless tanning in town, Versa Pro, so I can look like a beach bunny without a single solitary UV ray baking my bottom or setting me up for a melanoma. With such fair skin, I feel like the spray tan is sort of a shield, keeping me from every feeling tempted to layout for just a minute (which is one minute too long for me).
So if a sunlesss tan is what you’re after, all the other stuff really doesn’t matter, because this is the best place for that, and from a no-​skin cancer point of view, it’s one of the best deals in town.

Okay… DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! This place was ridiculously dirty. The floors looked they have been swept or mopped in at least a week or two. Then the bed I was about to get into had smudges all over the acrylic like someone had just gotten out. I complained and they said that I could pay a little bit more money and upgrade to a better bed. I said no I would just like a clean bed. They finally realized that I wasn’t giving them anymore money and cleaned the bed. The bed was nice. They hounded me to sign a contract No GO. It was the only time I stepped foot in an ATB and it was the last.
