I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. OVERMEDIUM. The yolk was very watery and the egg white was raw. It was literally like a bowl of soup with raw egg. It was disgusting. I also ordered the French Toast after that since I was still hungry. Sadly it tasted awful too. The bread was soggy and after the 3rd chew it was complete mush. Service was very bad as well our server seemed to be all over the place, all of them did. I will definitely not be coming back here again not will I recommend it to anyone.

I got the bottomless coffee that was amazingly smooth. I can’t imagine what the coffee specialties are like! Green salsa and homemade corn tortillas were super flavorful. I even took some green chile salsa to go. What a nice flavorful spot for brunch. If I lived closer, I would be here every week.

A friend and I just tried this restaurant for the very first time and it was delicious! Great service, friendly staff relaxed atmosphere, overall a great experience! We had Horchata latte, regular Guatemalan coffee, machaca, omelette ranchero with chorizo and Nutella pancake. Everything was packed with so much flavor! Loved it! Highly recommend this place to everyone. We’ll definitely be going back to try more items on their menu.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! Great brunch! No adult beverages but who needs them with food this good. Seriously eat here then go grab some mimosas and bloody Mary’s after. Anytime someone from out of town comes we go here. Sometime in lulls of conversation I’ll say«have you guys been to café kacoa?» It’s that good! If a genie popped out of a lamp my first wish would be for food from here. Second that they get a bigger place so I don’t have to wait in line, and third would be that I could switch stomachs with someone so I could eat there again!!! Do society a favor and go eat here so you can tell the world to go when they want the best food!

My favorite place to eat in OKC. I love the fresh ingredients and their coffee blows Starbucks out of the water. I’m slowly making my way through the menu and so far, no misses.

Holy pancakes — this place is good! We got there early for breakfast on a saturday, and there wasn’t a wait at all. We had a large group, too. The parking lot was really small, though, and was already full. I got the pancakes(obviously) that are covered in some kind of cream sauce and fresh blackberries. It was super amazing and a huge portion. I only ate about half of it. The cream sauce is delicious, and not sweet at all. The sweetness comes from the berries and the powdered sugar. Cappuccino was also amazing. Other people at the table got more authentic dishes, and I tried a few things. The black beans and plaintains are really good. We don’t live anywhere near this place, but if we did, I would go back, a lot.

I love this place! I was always skeptical to go because of how it looked from outside, but the inside is actual really hip and nice. The food and service is a nice pair. Their brunch items are really really good. They have some amazing French toast, and their huevos rancheros are A+! Definitely a spot to keep going to!

3rd time here and haven’t been disappointed yet. The food is delicious, priced right for the portions and did I mention freaking delicious?! Only downside is the wait, so don’t come Hangry, but the wait is worth it.

Café kacao offers some of the best breakfast food you can get in OKC. Their black beans and plantains make me happy. The coffee is smooth and rich. If you want a protein I highly recommend anything with their Carne Asada. I haven’t had the oatmeal but I hear people rave about it. The pancakes are off the chain.

Food is great if you can survive the wait. The place is busy for a reason. Special shout out to our waiter Jesus, he made this visit awesome!

I came here with family around 2 pm on the recommendation of a college graduate. Even though it was almost empty, it took a long time to get our order. The server accidentally brought the wrong order of one of the dishes(there were several of us), duplicating two of the dishes. When I asked for a gluten-free menu, the server generically said that there were a lot of options. I didn’t trust the dishes, so I ordered the fried plantains, avocado side and black beans side. They were all pretty good. The plantains were mildly sweet instead of cloying. The beans had good flavor and went well with the avocado. It was a lot of food, so I packed the leftovers for dinner. Next morning for breakfast, I combined the side of beans with Indian potatoes and hotel buffet eggs to make my own Desayuno. It kept me easily full until lunch. For lunch, I ate fried plantains with the brown sugar broth and some fruit. This kept me full until dinner.

Café Kacao is my favorite breakfast and lunch spot. I get the huevos rancheros every time. Every. Time. It’s just so good. You can add chorizo or carne asada to it, but for me it’s perfection just the way it is. Speaking of perfection though… they have nutella cappuccinos. Yes, you heard that right. It is like drinking pure heaven. And the green tea latte too. Wow. Their lattes are just SOOOO good. Also as a bonus, they give you free potato soup with your meal. I like this intead of chips! It’s warm and yummy. A small bit of comfort food. Note this place takes no reservations and gets packed so be aware and don’t come roaring hangry!

I really, really enjoyed this place for brunch. I had passed by this on my way to another restaurant and I saw a long line outside and thought, no way, but then I decided to turn around and check it out. I’m so glad I did. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the place was super clean. I decided to get a breakfast burrito with chorizo and a mango smoothie. Can you say yum, yum, yum??? I definitely will back to try a few more things. The selection for brunch was great and you get a huge portion.

This restaurant had great reviews on Unilocal,so I thought I’d give it a try for lunch, food is very good. I ordered the Tipico Panchoy, it was skirt steak marinated and grilled in the chimichurri sauce very tasty little on the tough side but the flavor was excellent, it came with a sausage called longaniza — tender and tasty it was absolutely wonderful. The fried plantains were excellent. There’s also grilled potatoes black beans rice and it came with a complementary cup of cream of potato soup, it was tasty. My friend ordered Carne Abobada, this was marinated pork sliced thin, the pork was very tender and packed with flavor. The rice and black beans where average the restaurant itself is small but quaint. The service was very good fast and very helpful.

After a long time of wanting to try this place, I finally did today. We went for a weekday brunch so we wouldn’t have to worry about battling any crowds. It was a good choice as we were seated immediately. I ordered the motuleños with asada, my husband ordered the oreo pancakes, and our kids split the French toast. I also ordered the horchata latte. I tried a bit of the French toast which I thought was really well made and tasted great when combined with the whipped cream cheese. My husband’s oreo pancakes were also delicious. The blackberry-bourbon sauce completely covered them, which made us wonder if it would be too overpowering. But the sauce was actually much lighter in flavor and thickness than we assumed it would be, which made it perfect. My motuleños were cooked just perfectly. Adding the asada was a nice touch. I felt like I was eating more of a homecooked meal and I told my husband it reminded me of growing up and eating my late grandmother’s cooking(although it was Bolivian). A couple of downsides… –I was disappointed with the horchata latte. I had been greatly looking forward to this, but couldn’t taste the horchata syrup *at all*. The latte itself was still a great latte, but it needed more syrup. –The prices on the menu did not match the price on the receipt — at least not for my motuleños. On the menu it is $ 7(same as it is on the website), with the addition of meat(such as my asada) being an extra $ 2.50. So that should have been a total of $ 9.50. Instead, it was $ 10.50 on the receipt. So either the motuleños are $ 8 or the meat is $ 3.50. Either way, the menu price wasn’t accurate. It may only be a dollar, but menus should always reflect the current price, even if it means covering up the old price with a price sticker. For what it’s worth, we didn’t stress over it and just paid the extra. Service was fast and friendly and I love how our server took the time to explain how we could customize options or even go a la carte for our children since they do not have a kids menu. The portions are large and very filling. I will definitely return, and will probably ask for extra syrup in my latte.

This is my favorite breakfast spot in OKC Coffee game strong: Kacao blend– take some home with you Busy AF on the weekend: bring people you like with you, because you’re going to be standing around waiting with them for a while Aesthetics: Feels like(because it probably was) an old Hardees/McDonalds/Burger King inside. but somehow it doesn’t matter Menu: many different combinations of the same basic ingredients. They are all good. Dessert= pancakes. O.M.F.G. The green sauce = YES. If your food doesn’t come with it, ask for it. Relatively cheap Family run– good people! Note: No booze :(

Café Kacoa is an absolute must for anyone visiting OKC. Do not underestimate the portions, they are ridiculously large. My husband and I shared the Café Kacoa signature pancakes(wild berry) and the Isabella(substituted the chorizo for Guatemalan sausage, which was beef). We also got a mixed fruit side, which was drizzled with a tangy berry glaze. For drinks, we got the smores espresso and the crème brûlée latte. The crème brûlée latte is a perfect drink for coffee drinkers that enjoy a bit more of a sweetness to their drinks, and the smores espresso is great for a more traditional coffee experience. Overall, really amazing!

I ordered the Breakfast Burrito, which was amazing. My dad had the Ranchero Omelet, which was also good. The shake/smoothie things are delicious and they got the temperature and consistency just right. We ordered the«special Poblano sauce» for $ 2 extra, but it wasn’t as good as the sauce that came with the meals. It was almost like a soup; creamy and with corn. It wasn’t bad, but we didn’t use much of it as corn doesn’t go that well with breakfast. The only bad taste left in my mouth was when the server told me quite bluntly I couldn’t cancel the Horchata Latte I ordered for dessert. We waited twenty minutes at the end of the meal before trying to leave. They acted irritated. Sorry for wanting to move on with my life.

Let me start by saying the food here is incredible. So incredible, in fact, that if I was rating Kacao on food alone it would have five stars. This is definitely one of the best breakfast/brunch spots in Oklahoma City, for sure. The food looks as beautiful as it tastes. However, we were a little disappointed by our service when we were there. Granted, they were extremely busy, however our server gave my friend the completely wrong meal(which he apologized for and made the correction, which was fine), but then when we received our tickets, my friend was charged the completely wrong amount(more than what she owed). When we told our server, he got irritated and said to me «Can you just give her the extra money or something?» Not wanting to fix her ticket. He ended up fixing her ticket, and it was fine, it was just kind of a pain. But then again, they were busy and it happens. I will still DEFINITELY be going back and I still thoroughly enjoyed it, and even though we had a mishap, I’m sure it’s not a normal thing, and I would still definitely recommend it!
