I totally dig Feria Latina Supermarket! Its my Happy place! I call it «Feliz Supermercado» bc it is very festive, has tons of character & makes me feel all fuzzy inside when I shop there :) It’s just like a Mexican Supermercado you would find south of the boarder. It has a bakery, a meat market & a taco stand right inside. You can get some A.MAZ.INTACOS& pretty much anything else including a piñata at this store while having a shopping fiesta! Olé! I just wish they served margaritas & Cerveza inside the taco stand. That would be the BOMB! You could have some awesome tacos, throw back a few margaritas, then do your shopping & see how many piñata’s you could take out on isle 3.(Kidding) Actually, the whole shopping center that«feliz Supermercado» is located in is Latina, minus a much needed Cantina. There SHOULD be a Cantina nearby, makes sense to me! Olé! Business Opportunity Alert! See how that happens? Anyhoo, Feliz Supermercado is a excellent grocery store, a interesting & fun place to shop, plus their prices can’t be beat! I love the super fresh produce & there is TONS of it to choose from. There is also TONS of spices, dried chiles & beans, every kind you can imagine. The bakery might be small but it packs a big punch! They are turning out some fantastic baked goodies in this little bakery. The bolla rolls are the best I have found. They also make some freakin killer sweet rolls, doughnuts & churros. There is a whole cooler door of them I call it the fiesta door! Olé! Yum yum yum yum yum! :)) If your looking for anything to BBQ like picnic pork, any slow roasting pork shoulder cuts, fajita meats, carnitas, ribs, chorizo, pre-marinated meats etc., they have it all. They even carry chicken feet which makes the BEST chicken stock. You can also get the Achiote, Sazon, & Tijan seasonings here. Tijan is a natural fruit booster & we can’t live without it in the summertime. Just shake that on your fruit baby! Olé! :)‘ They also carry real Coke(The drink) all kinds of South of the Boarder sodas like Inca Kola & my personal favorite, Fresca soda. It’s a sparkling grapefruit soda make with real sugar that makes a mean Poolside Margarita in the summertime. Cha cha cha! Olé! They also carry the Salvadorian & Hondureña Crema. It absolutely makes the best bean dip on the planet. Carnitas meat + refried beans + fresh jalapeños + Hondureña crema. Learn it. Live it. Life changing! Olé! :)… Altamente recomendado!

At work we were having a Mexican themed potluck so I figured I would bring Mexican sweet bread. I looked at many different places and found this one. Once I went in I wasn’t disappointed, they had most of my favorite sweet bread from when I grew up. There were a couple I didn’t find but I found the norms. One thing I love about going to a Mexican store for sweet bread is its dirt cheap. I got 20ish breads for 10 bucks, what a steal. I will definitely go back here for bread and other things. It was worth the drive from NW Oklahoma City.

This place is a do it all for mexicans. The place has a carniceria or meat shop, a panaderia or bakery, a supermercado or supermarket, and best of all a tacqueria or taco shop. But wait its not just a taco shop its way, way better and as authentic as you can get in Oklahoma. You can buy your meat, eat here, and shop here all at the same time. I am mainly focusing on the taqueria for the review. It is a small but simple place. About 9 tables with 4 seats each in the restaurant. There are also a ring of bar stools surrounding the outside of the little dining area where there were like 10 chairs. This is where all of the cool people ate, so consequently after I got my food I sat at the counter where there were some bar stools. I ordered a burrito. Cost was only $ 4.00. And this was no ‘chain restaurant’ burrito. You know which restaurants I am reffering to. This burrito was probably the most authentic burrito I have ever eaten. The burrito was full of luscious juicy chicken and had rice and beans in it as well. You know it was made just a few seconds ago since it took me about 15 minutes to eat it, and my last bite the rice and chicken filling inside was still hot, HOT mind you, not lukewarm. The burrito was off the charts and was delicious. Came with some awesome salsa. You should definitely check it out.

This grocery store doesn’t look like much from the outside. It’s not located in the best area of town and the building and parking lot is run down. However, upon entering the establishment, I was immediately impressed! The place was jam packed with people but it wasn’t too hard to get around. In one corner, there is a small dining area. You can order things like tacos, burritos, platters, horchatas, etc. There are also these pastry cases full of different kinds of breads and desserts. You grab a tray and start piling up on sweets. We were newbies so we only got two things but everyone else’s trays were overflowing. Prices were dirt cheap: 39 – 79 cents. The rest of the store contained the usual grocery store items: veggies, meats, condiments, drinks, and more. The candy aisle was where I spent most of my time. I’m a sucker for Mexican candy especially the tamarind flavored ones. Overall, I really liked this place. I would come here just for the tacos because they were freaking amazing. Then leave with a ton of pastries!
