INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center

I was here last night for a sleep study. It was my first time in SWMC and my first ever sleep study. I was nervous at first, but all the staff I encountered from check-​in to walking out the next morning were courteous and professional. My sleep tech, «Nacho», realized it was my first time and was careful in explaining everything he was doing and what exactly is going to happen throughout the night so there were no surprises. He had a nice calm demeanor which helped me settle in and get comfortable. The facility and room were nice and tidy, almost like a hotel room.
The only issue I had was with the billing department telling me one thing about my insurance (That my cost was going to be $ 1,500) when in reality Aetna pays 100% of the study. The lady was very polite and didn’t take any offense when I asked her to please double check. She did and called me back to apologize for the error because the information I had was correct.

(Hearing test)
Thankfully the supervisor was willing to redo the test which meant I didn’t have to reschedule. With no one in the room and construction ending for the day, wouldn’t you know my son passed lol.
(Newborn blood screening test)
One of the nurses took my son to the nursery to administer this test. Just this Friday I received a letter from the Oklahoma Health Department saying my son had to retake it because of what was submitted… Like the hearing test, he would have to do it again. I spoke with a representative she informed me the items sent over were contaminated and they couldn’t run the test… Rather than deal with Integris Southwest again, we went to Mercy.
All in all, I will not be going back to this hospital.
