5 stars for being what a pub should be. Shit ton of beers. 60 taps & lots more in bottles and cans. Solid pub food. Nothing will disappoint. 3 floors that are loud & fun on a busy night. Great location in midtown. Monday night pint nights. Big ass horseshoe bar with a great staff behind it. Involved in the community. Super fun events including St. Patty’s day & the pub run. Bike parking. Plenty of TVs. If you drink enough, they’ll put your name on a mug and hang it in on the wall. #squadgoals

Cool Irish pub with great food and a huge beer selection. I had the cottage pie and it was great. Great service and good atmosphere.

Like a peanut butter cup, there is no right or wrong way to spend a tinder date. This guy suggested McNellie’s twice in a row so I figured I’d give it a shot. It was pretty empty, kind of has that college town feel. We ended up playing pool for hours on the third floor. At first I thought he’d be really good and kick my ass but reality revealed that he sucked, which helped each dollar game last like, forever, since it would take us that long to get every ball into a hole. This is definitely a beer place and like all good Irish bars, they got that Guinness on tap. They also have indoor smoking, however, which sucks but since the place wasn’t crowded, the one or two smokers wasn’t too bothersome. I still probably lost a good 90 seconds of enjoyment of my life though. Thanks a lot assholes.

Got off work late and decided to meet up with some friends for a few drinks. Had never been here before. I got there around 1 o clock and assumed they would close at 2 am. Immediately felt like I was being kicked out as they called last round in 15 minutes at around 1:15. Rushed to order my drink. I was not there to get drunk or anything but just to wind down and relax. It is a pub after all, which is supposed to make you feel welcome especially on a Friday night. The kitchen was closed when I wanted to order some food. Understandable. The guy came around about 3 times stating they were closing soon. Yes, I am aware you close at 2 am and it was only 1:30. Again, making us feel unwelcome. Brought us our last round. The server was nice and split our checks which I know is a pain because I was a server too. The guy came around again and told us to start leaving but we couldn’t because the server was cashing us out. Still, only 1:45 at this point. We got our cards back and started walking out. I ordered an über and wanted to use the restroom real quick, asked the guy if the restroom was on the 2nd floor. He said yes, but that I wasn’t allowed to use it since they were now closed and it was for employees only at this point. Really? Still only about 1:50. Making a poor chap hold it all the way home. Never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant. I completely understand customers who camp out all night but I had no intentions of doing so. I often would have to stay an extra 30 minutes to a few hours waiting for customers to leave but we never rushed them out. He could have just said it once, we are grown adults. I will never go back to this pub for that reason.

Wanted so bad to like this place. Met a group of friends for dinner and drinks before a show at the Civic Center. I arrived last to find that five of us were at a table for four. Which was fine if we were just having drinks, but we ordered food. No way were plates for all of us going to fit. We asked about a bigger table and the waitress said, «there’s just that one that seats ten and I’m trying to save it.» We asked, «can we slide another table over?» After some hesitation it was done, but at an odd angle T-shape to allow the isle to stay open. Also, when we left, the table for ten was still empty. I got the leek soup and fried green beans. Soup was ok. Green beans weren’t even hot and no seasoning on the crust. I got a side of their Irish blue cheese dressing for dipping and it was good. Also, a raspberry cream beer that tasted amazing! And I’m not a beer lover, but yummy! I am thinking I caught a bad waitress or a good one on a bad night. Might try again.

I was first introduced to this small chain at Abner’s in Norman, and became hooked on their potato and leek soup and their black bean burgers. I’m happy to say that the original location is just as delicious as what I came to expect at Abner’s, and it’s in a really cool multistory building within walking distance to of Midtown’s attractions. We walked there from the Dust Bowl to get some food in our belly after some intense bowling. Deliciousness was had by all!

I love McNellies. They have great bar and waitstaff. It’s a multi level restaurant with the top floor reserved for smokers. They have all my favorite beers, including Java Stout. They have a great menu with options for all people. They have Wednesday night burger night, with burgers for $ 3. I prefer the Reuben($ 9.99) or the StrawberrySpinach salad($ 8.99), both are on point. The salad comes with strawberries, walnuts and this delish poppyseed dressing. The reuben is everything you want, heaping piles of meat, russian dressing and delish kraut.(I am a nut for the stuff) They have a myriad of events that take place here from Young Professionals meetings on Tuesdays to the Rotary club. In addition they have one of the best St. Pat’s celebrations in town. Come to McNellies, you wont regret it.

I was very pleased with my experience here. I was with a large party and we were served well. The food was delicious as was the beer. They have a huge selection of beer. I had a locally brewed stout that was amazing. I ordered a cottage pie for my meal and was very pleased with it. The flavor so work well together. I will be try to duplicate this at home sometime soon.

With so many beers on tap and in bottles, it seems silly to talk about anything else, but there is some wonderful food too! Best Cobb Salad in town. Chuck full of bacon, egg, salad, red onion, and oooo that ranch dressing! Mmmmm! The traditional Irish dishes are where I would suggest you steer, as a general rule. For instance, the potato leek soup is great. The quesadilla is not. The sweet potato fries are wonderfully fried and full of flavor, as are the pub fries, with the Cottage Pie is wonderfully balanced and filling. But the chicken wrap is just a red onion mess. So the menu can be a little hit and miss. Solid 4 star. Just be careful what you order and read lots of reviews.

This is my new favorite place to head after work for a drink and/or dinner. It’s somewhere between classy pub and local hangout, and I always have a fun time. The drink selection is incredible, and they remain the only local place I’ve found with 16-year Bushmills behind the bar. They have pretty great food too, with specials some nights of the week. Hint, if you go for pint night, don’t leave your included-pint-glass(Es) on the table when you leave. I do that every time… It can be crowded it times, and if you arrive at dinner time you might be waiting for a table. It’s worth it, though, as the upstairs area has a fun atmosphere with lots of wood and cosy spacing. I always head to the bar, though, and there’s tables around there too. I prefer to be right at the bar, and the bartenders are sociable.

Great beer selection. That won me. I am an out-of-towner so I wanted to try local brews and did get my fill of some good stuff. Glad coop was on the menu. It’s pretty decent new american.

I love the flavor of a charbroiled burger and McNellies has the best in Oklahoma City! I order mine with Swiss cheese, bacon, veggies and a side of sweet potatoes. No bun for my gluten-sensitive palate. Soo good!

I have often enjoyed the ambience at McNellies. Between its vast selection of beer, and the excellent service of its staff, McNellies strikes me as a place that is proud of what it does. There’s not a whole lot of pubs that gives off that vibe anymore. There are some great people who works there who brings back the personable aspect of what makes a bar the place to hang out. At the end of the day if you want a place to unwind, knowledgeable beer connoisseurs to recommend a good beer, or simply good company, swing by McNellies. It may not be exactly like Cheers, but it is pretty darn close in my books of what the perfect neighborhood bar should be.

I love McNellies and their burger nights on Wednesday. There is no need to say anything else… Well… Technically, that is not true… There are tons of good things to say. The price of the burgers on Wednesdays is unbeatable for a sit-down restaurant. Their beer menu is one of my favorites in the state. The waiting time might be long but it is well worth your wait, and they will call you when your table is ready. Also, if you don’t mind the smoke you can go to the third floor which is open seating… Or you can try your luck at the bar an the first floor(open seating as well) My family loves this place and we religiously come every Wednesdays when they are in town. Keep in mind it is full of young, energetic beer and burgers lovers… So do not be surprised by the noise level.

Reminds me of WOB on the east coast. Good selection of beers and a good rotation of tap. Was a bit snug sitting at a table next to the bar. Waitress kept reaching over our table to get condiments which were on the bar top above our table. Not over the moon about that. Plus the AC was not working very well. Usually I am ok with some warmth as I do tend to get cold but it has been scorchingly hot these past few days. They do have another level upstairs which is nice. I will have to try some food the next time I am here. Plenty of parking or I just happened to be lucky this day. Looks like they have a mug club but not too sure. Nice place for a few beers!

I can’t believe I’ve lived here for almost 3 years, and it was just recently where I made my first visit to McNellie’s. Well, in OKC, at least. I have been to McNellie’s in Tulsa, but still silly, nonetheless. You really can’t complain about McNellie’s. Great beer selection, great food. They get an extra thumbs up from me for having a veggie burger on their menu. I discovered strawberry cider at this McNellie’s, which is hea ven ly. I would’ve never thought to try strawberry cider, but I am so glad I did! Service was a little spotty, but nothing horrible enough to write in detail about. Either way, I know I’ll be back – and hopefully sooner than 3 years!

I had never been to McNellies before and went with a couple of friends on a Friday night. The beer menu is incredible and when I narrowed down my choices, I asked the waitress some questions about the beer choice I was about to make. I was highly impressed with the knowledge she had. The waitress gave several food recommendations and I went with the fish and chips. I must say, the cod fillets were REALLY good, perfectly breaded, not greasy and nicely seasoned. I chose a ‘flight’ of German beer after dinner and was in love with that decision. Overall, McNellies was a great place for dinner and drinks. I look forward to going back.

This was the first time I tried McNellies and it will not be the last. This bar has 3 floors. The 1st floor has the bar and lots of tables. The 2nd floor is mainly for event seating but there are some tables as well. This floor also has dart boards. I didn’t go to the 3rd floor because it is the smoking floor. I had a McNellies Charburger with bacon and fries. It was pretty good. The bacon was the best part but lets get real… people aren’t coming here just for the food. The beer selection was endless. The beer list was 4PAGES!!! I couldn’t even pronounce half of these beers. There was beers from all over the world and included local brewers from Oklahoma as well. I got a Sam Smith Organic Strawberry. It is in a 18.7 oz bottle. So Yummy. $ 9.50 I also tried Sam Smith Organic Raspberry. Same size bottle and same price. I honestly do not know which one I liked best. Our waiter recommended these and I loved them. Looked for them at the liquor store but they didn’t have any :( These beers were fruity but not too sweet. This is definitely a beer I would recommend someone who doesn’t like beers with alot of hops. Definately will visit this location again.

I do not suggest this as a lunch spot. The negatives, there were no seats available and the wait was very long. We ended up in an upstairs table with no one else in the room. This meant our service lacked a little, Beyond that… the food was really good. Our table tried a few different sandwiches and salads and everyone enjoyed them. The prices were fair and the service was friendly, even if it was a little spotty.
