Friendly staff, and beautiful balcony that overlooks downtown. They have really cool heaters outside on the balcony to keep you warm, but wish there were seating as well.

Quality cocktails, experienced(but not necessarily friendly) bartenders, and a beautiful view. Perfect place to take friends from out of town who doubt OKC has an upscale going out scene. However, it costs a pretty penny and attracts an older, formal crowd. Unless it’s special occasion worthy of $ 12 drinks, I recommend driving four blocks south to R&J Lounge where you can order beverages of similar quality starting at $ 5.

Food: N/A(didn’t try) Service: 4⁄5 Cleanliness: 5⁄5 Décor & Style: 5⁄5 One of the few nice looking, fancy bars in OKC. We need more. Service is what it should be on a very busy night. Love the view, and it makes me feel like I’m still living in NYC or DC again. Will be back!

I have mixed feelings about O Bar. All of the drinks I’ve had here are good and it’s obvious that their bartenders take pride in what they do. However, some of the cocktails are overpriced in my opinion. I have to remind myself that this is a bar in a boutique hotel, so nothing about the place is cheap. It’s swanky and attracts a crowd that I’m not a huge fan of. The view of the city is really neat though. For people visiting from out of town, I feel like O Bar is a pleasant surprise for OKC that they probably didn’t expect. I just can’t find a reason for locals to come here over all of the other bar choices out there that are more affordable.

1.5 stars. Eek! Methinks not. This is a cool looking bar, but the bartender was not cool. I came in after working out so I started with water which I ordered from a friendly guy behind the bar. After I hydrated, I wanted a vodka drink. This woman behind the bar that had been too good to even look at me finally does after I push my empty glass away from me since I couldn’t find my first guy and eye contact had thus far been impossible. I tell her I’d like a drink and I’ll place it with my original bartender because I try to stick with one for the sake of tips and all that mess. He happens to be coming back to the bar at that time and she looks down her nose and very rudely informs me that he is just a bar back and she is a bartender so I don’t need to and cannot place an order with him. Wow, what’s the first 5 letter word that comes to mind? I explain to her what I like, as this typically gets me the most interesting and delicious drinks. She looked so POed. How dare I expect oh-great-bartender to recommend a bar drink. She makes me a vodka-something and continues to ignore me. It was terrible. I tried to drink it just because I felt like having alcohol in my system, but I couldn’t get her attention to have her replace it with something decent. I close out with the lowly barback and abandon my 70% full glass. I went out to the patio to stare at the skyline. It was really pleasant. I ended up standing there for quite a while. The patio is the best part, although several lovely guests have stuck gum around the patio and management hasn’t bothered to remove it. I also encountered an over-served jerk on my way to the patio. Avoid human contact here. You’re better off bundling up on the patio and not engaging anybody.

This is a newly remodeled bar and it had all the bells and whistles. I was really surprised. Looked great my only complaint was that a class of wine was $ 13!!! Annnddddd to make matters worse my boyfriend got sick right after we ordered and paid and we just left it there. UGH!

One of my favorite new upscale bars in OKC/Midtown area. Their balcony has spectacular views of downtown and midtown. It’s also fairly easy to find somewhere to park. It’s fairly small, so it may be tricky getting a group in depending on the night, but it’s a great place to go with a couple of friends and enjoy beer or cocktails!

still boring! Ambiance was too sleepy because they didn’t have any good music on! I am craving for a high end lounge in OKC with chill out music

Fantastic cocktail list. The bartenders here appreciate spirits, and it’s reflective in the menu. If you’re looking for a great view, and a traditional drink with a modern twist, this is the bar for you!

I took Matt here last night for drinks before dinner for his birthday. The Ambassador hotel itself is so beautiful, so I had high expectations for the bar and they were met. The interior of the bar was classy and comfortable. Matt had a whiskey cocktail that he enjoyed and I was pleased to be able to order a cocktail off of the«low alcohol» menu. I got a rose cobbler and it was amazing! The prices were reasonable(I think 8 – 9 dollars each) and the service was really good. We will definitely be going back. I wish it wasn’t so hot right now or we would have spent some time in the outdoor area.

I am just not a fan of O-Bar. Don’t get me wrong, I love the location, as well as the view and ambiance, which earns them their second star, but that is about where it stops. In all of my visits the service has just been so-so. They get the job done by bringing menus, taking orders, and bringing the checks, but it is very rushed and unfriendly. I think pretentious would be a good adjective. Additionally, the drinks are horribly, horribly overpriced. A standard drink is $ 12 with the cheapest on the menu being $ 9. The drinks are very creative and well crafted, with fresh ingredients and fun flavors, but they aren’t particularly strong and they are pretty tiny. I most recently tried their Bramble cocktail, which had gin, lemon, and raspberry, and was served in a small stemmed glass for $ 12. My aunt just told the waitress she just wanted a Manhattan. It was served in a martini glass and she really enjoyed it, but when we got the bill we were shocked to see it was $ 19. $ 19! This is Oklahoma City, not New York or Vegas. I am still in sticker shock. When I got home and told my husband he said that I could have gotten the same drinks from R & J for 75% cheaper. And he was right. A Manhattan at R & J is $ 5.50. And that is exactly where I plan on going from now on when in Midtown.

Food — good enough, however their smoked salmon was one note… Salt Drinks — delicious. I’ve always had great drinks. Atmosphere — very nice. Great patio and views. Clean. Modern. Chic. The bar seats at super comfy. Service — sucks(to put it plainly). I’ve always waited enormous amounts of time for my initial drink. I’ve had Mike twice and he is slow, frustrating, has poor attention to detail, and does not understand good service. I’ve never had a lazier bartender to say the least… My final tip to the restaurant: when food and drinks are present in the vicinity, do NOT spray the bar top with sanitizer… Twice I have felt disgusted by chemicals enveloping my food and drinks.

This is supposedly one of OKC’s new hotspots. If I had the option to give them a half star I would. The only thing this place has going for it is the view. The music is horrible and some played at such a loud volume you can’t really have any conversation over it. Unless, you go outside amongst the smokers and well that’s not for everyone. The service was horrible, it took me around 30 mins to get my first drink and another 20 mins each refill. They only have two servers and you always have to repeat yourself over the loud terrible music they play. Also, the bartenders are assholes they completely ignored me when I tried to get my own refill and spoke rudely to my wife when she went up there to order a drink. Also, after the first drink they kept getting more and more watered down, the only drink there I’d recommend is the old fashioned if you like a strong drink and bourbon. They ended up triple or double charging everyone’s card that was in our group when we left because of the terrible service and music. We will not be returning and I will recommend Fassler Hall about a block away. I’d even recommend Louie’s across the street over this place. NEVERAGAIN!

A great bar with one of the best views of beautiful OKC and outstanding handmade cocktails by knowledgable bartenders! I have been to O Bar several times and it keeps getting better! They now have tables and chairs outside on the balcony(although they do allow smoking on the balcony). Also, they now serve the full menu from the restaurant downstairs in case you get hungry! The house made flavored bitters are a really special touch for those that like old fashions, etc. their wine list is well varied and reasonably priced. It can get quite crowded later in the evening, but is a very eclectic crowd which I think adds to its interest. If you are going to midtown for dinner, be sure to stop by The Ambassador for a pre or post dinner drink! My favorite is the French 75!

I love O bar. It’s one of the few places in OKC I feel like I can always wear a dress to. The cocktails are creative and the view can’t be beat. I also like all the bartenders and they’ve been very helpful picking up drinks for me. It’s also a great place to bring out of town guests and the midtown location is perfect for after dinner. Management: I’d love to see a happy hour here! I’d definitely stop by after work if there were one. It’d be a great place to watch the sunset after work before having dinner :)

Stopped in for a Happy Hour after work on Tuesday and had a great time. Our server/bartender, Samantha, was awesome! She was attentive to us and her other customers. I thought the drinks were good, pricey but you’re paying for the view and ambiance so I consider that worth it. We tried the calamari and the«olive picnic» appetizers — both were yummy. Give O Barr a try for a night out or HH — I think you’ll enjoy it.

I’ve been here twice, and was wowed both times. Why? Donnie. Donnie is one amazing bartender. He’s friendly, upbeat, helpful and he’s a man who knows his drinks. The second night I was in, he made me a new cocktail based on what he thought I’d like, having been in on back-to-back nights. And it was great. Any questions I asked, he had an answer for, and he was happy to shoot the … you know … with us both nights, while tending to the other guests. The walls are lined with windows, and offer some of the best views in the city. The patio has plenty of seating and the sunsets outside … just can’t be beat. Try it out. It’s a great place to spend a lovely evening with gracious staff and wonderful drinks.

Have you all missed my reviews? My anger? My stroke out moments? Get ready… by the end of this review… I will probably be smelling burnt toast. The layout and location of the O Bar is legit. Seriously, who doesn’t love rooftop drinking? Anywho, good times were had and I had ZEROBEER. Did all of you read that? I had zero beer. So, why am I reviewing this place then? Read on, kiddos. (Focus on your breathing, Patrick.) Okay, so the O Bar serves up a Bush League list of beer. The mixed drinks sounded awesome, but I would have never known. My waitress went Houdini status and vanished. And now comes the rant… The waitress I had came up to me(with a «I hate the world look») and asked what I wanted. I asked her what beers they had(I got a real snotty look from her.) and she went to grab a menu. She brings me a menu… and that was that. Never saw her again. During her absence, I glanced over the drink list. As stated, the mixed drinks sound legit, but the beer menu is failing at life. There should definitely be more local beers on the menu. Not everyone likes Stella Artois. Look, I understand everyone has a bad day… but, this waitress was on another level of rude. My job requires me to see people that are living their last moments… enjoying their last days… and I still don’t get the attitude that she did.(I don’t like the fact that people die. It pisses me off.) With that being said, I’m willing to give the O Bar another shot. People have off days. I understand. My first visit was an utter fail, however.

I came back with a friend 2 weeks later and tried to park in the same parking lot across the street. As we were walking out, a guy told us that Café do Brasil hired him to have cars towed. We quickly moved to a spot on the street. There were still plenty of street parking, but I just wanted to let everyone know that you can no longer park in that parking lot! If you’ve been here, you know that this is the new spot in OKC. It feels like everyone was there on a Friday night. The view is perfect, the chairs are comfy and the bartenders are fast. I do wish they had some bars outside to lean against. Stools would be even nicer. I like that it is in midtown close to some of my favorite restaurants. Lastly, it’s not downtown so there is actually a parking lot with plenty of parking!

Checked this place out after Artini last week. Man it’s a sweet space. Taking the elevator up to the top floor made me feel like I was in a high end club in Asia again. When you walk in, you’ll notice plenty of intimate seating and a long bar. Cocktail prices are standard, $ 10+. I had a pretty solid Old Fashioned. What you’re really paying for is the amazing view. HOLYCRAP. Best view in the freaking city. There’s a balcony you can take your drink out on and just soak it all in. I’ll frequenting this place when I’m feeling pretty.
