Fantastic bbq. The sauces are very good but not necessary. Their meats are juicy and flavorful. They have a wide selection of sides. It is a great way to end a busy day, take home some brisket or any of their delicious meats at a very reasonable price. Take @ shower, get in your comfy clothes turn on the tv and relax. A delicious dinner is waiting. Oh yeah baby. It doesn’t get better than this.

The place to go for bbq at a decent price. Me and my friends for a while came here every Friday and we never grew tired of it. Everything is really good from the ribs to the macaroni and cheese and the service is always great

I went here a few years ago and what I remember is the meat being incredibly dry. I stopped in the other day, though, and had some really nice, juicy brisket. The man serving up the meals did let me try the pork and turkey. Both were dry. What I went with was the three meat platter… brisket, ribs, and smoked sausage. The ribs were ok… nothing to write home about. The sausage was pretty good, but how can you really screw up sausage. So the brisket was really the star of the show. I should have gotten more of it. There were plenty of sides to choose from. A couple different kinds of beans, potato salad, coleslaw, okra, etc. I got the mac n cheese and coleslaw. Both were tasty. There is also a bar in the back that you can grab some extras for your meal like onions, jalapeños, and pickles. It was a good experience.

OKBBQ is more than okay! It’s actually pretty great! I have enjoyed their bbq twice now and have sampled their smoked pork tenderloin, ribs, and for Thanksgiving, their smoked Turkey! Now, I’m not a bbq connoisseur, but I’m a fan of their food. They also make their own vinegar-based coleslaw which is pretty sweet, literally! They display all of their sides out front which I kind of like but it appears to be buffet style which I’m not a fan of. I think what makes this place noteworthy is their staff. I used a groupon and they were very helpful on telling me all about their food and even offered some samples of their meat. This is why I decided to order one of the turkeys for Thanksgiving. When I called to order it, I was unsure if picking it up at 11:00 am was going to work for me, then the staffer asked, when I would like to pick it up, and that they are there super early to smoke all the meat. I suggested 10:30 and he assured me it would be no problem. So, after three great experiences they have my loyalty.

Everything is good here. The garlic vinegar coleslaw is the most amazing slaw I’ve ever had. I can’t ever get enough.

I had Oklahoma Station today for the first time and was impressed by it. The brisket was good, as was the turkey. The sides, Mac and cheese and fried okra, were delicious as well. For dessert, I had banana pudding. It was just ok. It didn’t have any bananas, but it was still good enough. I will certainly be coming back.

True BBQ joints in my opinion share one common quirk– they are a tad uneven. Good days and great days are my benchmark for true BBQ. Those of us who toil in the flames on occasion know that the compliments received are often the result of proper luck and timing. If all goes right you pull off a memorable feast. One false turn and you are catching«I really like it» & «thank you for not making me cook» right and left. Some days those two don’t cooperate. So the food isn’t always the same. And in my world that is perfectly fine. I love this place. I take people here all the time. I frequently get the sliced brisket here even when my fridge is stocked with my version of the same. Some days beat others, but they aren’t a chain McFriday joint. They work hard and produce good food that is oftentimes great. Prime Rib Friday night is well worth the stop in. None of this is meant at as a backhanded compliment. I seriously love this place. The staff is super friendly and the food is always worth the visit. I just don’t believe in tossing out 5 stars easy. And I don’t want someone to hit this on a good, not great, day and think I’m foolish.(I am, but not because of my reviews)

After a bad experience I went back here and was very pleasantly surprised. As I stated before I had been disappointed as a 20 plus year customer. The new owner came to my table and we talked and he is truly wanting to restore this BBQ restaurant to it’s lofty reputation. Kudos. They deserve your patronage.

Good bbq but it had been a while since I had been there and things have changed. The brisket does not have that robust smoky flavor it used to have. It used to have a good smoke ring below the bark, but not anymore. Obviously some procedural change. Also, no longer do you serve yourself the side orders. Now you get them portioned out for you. Hopefully, this downward slide can be haunted before they fall below the level of Billy Sims.

Taking advantage of a Groupon offer I decided to try out The Oklahoma Station. I ordered a shredded brisket sandwich with baked beans and macaroni and cheese for sides and Apple Cobbler for desert. A dry looking mound of brisket held a surprisingly good flavor with a satisfactory and fresh bun. While not inspired BBQ I found it decent. The beans had a somewhat soft texture and a tolerable bland taste. Again not inspired but adequate. The Macaroni and cheese continued the theme with average if unmemorable flavor. The Apple Cobbler was a pleasant reward for the end of this mediocre meal. The Apple slices drenched in the sweet coating had just enough firmness to be pleasing without challenging your belief they were cooked. The crust was just crunchy enough to give you the toothy satisfaction of a gentle crunch. The whole was just sweet enough to say this is worth the guilt of calories without making you regret the intake of sugar. In summary Oklahoma Station is not on my short list of BBQ places but not a bad place to eat. It is doubtful I will return but not because of the desert.

Very disappointed. Lunches have been fantastic. Posted the picture of 1 of our 3 ridiculously fatty meals tonight. Maybe because it was carry out or maybe because it was a groupon. It is a shame we will not likely be back. Serving guest the parts you normally discard is unacceptable even if they have a coupon.

Just because you can afford to pay for the food doesn’t make you a critic worth paying any attention to at all. there are some real twats among my fellow reviewers I went in after 830. had chopped brisket, friends had sliced. my gawd was it good and freshly sliced and chopped, too… I looked at my friends and said my gawd, I want some of the trim, too! We all agreed on that! I thought the staff was good, the food was good and plentiful… A small place where every thing is cooked on site? well, they may occasionally run out of meat, because guess what? It’s made every day, and you can never tell when there will be a huge crowd feeming for bologna, and what day they all want sausage… when food is cooked to these standards, you can run out of stuff. suck it up and get something else. call ahead and order if you want to be sure… The place is worth going back to to try all the different meats… the mac and cheese had excellent flavor…

This place is close to my house, so I was really hoping to love it. It is just ok. From the outside it just a kind of small strip mall kind of place and the inside is dated and a lot of wood, as you would expect from a BBq restaurant. Nothing special or negative there. I tried a combo to try as many things as possible, and bought some extra meat on the side. I wanted to try it all. Lets start with the bad. The ribs. I had told the guy cutting the meat it was my first time there and i was judging him. I really did. Im usually not that bold, but I had a reason. I watched him cut up some ribs of the person ahead of me and saw what was left was the dry, end of the rack. I was really hoping he would pull out a new rack and cut me off a nice rib or two. Nope, he just cut up the dry, kinda burnt end, you know, the kind that will frequently have little pieces of crushed bone mixed in? Yeah, thats what I got. I should also mention that they use spare ribs and not baby back. And in the interest of full disclosure, I actually like spare ribs. Not this day I didnt. As far as taste, for being the burnt end, there really wasnt much taste. So then I decide to try some ham. He pulls it out of the warming fridge thing they use to store the meat. You could tell it had been in there a while. It had the dry, discolored edge on it. You know that look when meat has been sitting out too long. I thought it was funny that I was standing 2 ft from him and watch him cut off the dry, gross looking piece, look at it, and you could actually see the hampster spinning and the subsequent shoulder shrug as he put it on the plate, gross side down, as if I couldnt see it. I just had to laugh. The piece that wasnt from the dry, left out end was actually not too bad, its just too bad that the biggest piece was the nasty looking piece. It was dry and a little rubbery. Not really appealing. So having discovered that Bologna is a thing in OKC, I decided to give that a shot. Not too bad. But i mean, how can you mess up Bologna? What else. Oh, the sausage. The sausage was nothing special, but it was tasty. It didnt have a ton of flavor, but it was good. The guy needed to sharpen his knife though. It didnt really slice the sausage as much as tear it and leave the casing connected on all the pieces. Now, the Brisket. This is what they say they are known for. And after having it, I can say it was a decent piece of BBq. Although, I do have to wonder if the brisket really was good, or if my palet was so underwhelmed and disappointed in everything else that it just seemed really good by comparison. But no, seriously, I would go back for the brisket, because its close, but doubt I would get anything else. The sides… they were all in a warming tray. I dont know. It was slow an maybe 330 pm, so I have a feeling the sides had been in that tray for a while. I gave the beans a look, and trying to send a message, said they ought to consider using the rib tips in the beans(see what I did there?). He said they did put meat in it. He started stirring them and said, well, maybe not much. Yeah… So I decided to play it safe. they had two types of cole slaw. Im a coleslaw fan and not a long-sitting warming tray kind of guy, so I opted for both. Neither was bad, but neither was either good. Oh, the sauce really wasnt anything worth using either, and it was sad because most of the BBq needed sauce. Overall, I would say a 2 star, but the brisket really was pretty decent, and Im feeling generous tonight, so I will go with 3. I will allow that maybe I need to go at lunch or dinner instead of in between hours to get everything in a fresher state.

I really don’t like BBQ. It’s weird and I’m a foreigner. But this place is pretty great — the bologna was the bust I’ve ever had, brisket is juicy and flavorful and the sides are, well, better than most. Our mild sauce was too hot for me to eat that day. Sweet staff. So, if you are not a lover but everyone always wants to go, suggest this place.

Brisket. It’s worth the drive, the wait and you better call ahead because they do run out. Yum yum. Also strong faves — balogna and the pork. I don’t really like any of their sides — they don’t hold a candle to the real deal — the meat! Stop by, this hole in the wall is just awesome

Keep on driving! Seriously! It’s a line order type of establishment which already questions the freshness of the food. Considering when we walked in there was one occupied table, it was safe to assume the good had probably been out for hours. The bathrooms looked like a pseudo crack house and the tile and décor throughout the restaurant was dilapidated and needed replacement. Many more better places to get BBQ so do yourself and your stomach a favor and opt for somewhere else.

Confused… can’t figure out how the Edmond location failed a few years ago, but this location is still in business. We used to love the Edmond store, but alas, it is no more. Today, the meat was dry, green beans seemed gristle-y(not even sure how that’s possible) and the okra was lukewarm. Disappointment seemed to be the name of the game. Even the employees looked like they were ready to gouge out their eyes with the cobbler spoon just to escape their misery. The interior is in poor shape, with water-stained ceiling tiles and haphazard décor.

Like the rating says, «meh, I’ve experienced better.» We came here upon hearing this was a local favorite for BBQ. I absolutely love BBQ, brisket & ribs and, while I don’t proclaim to be a connoisseur, I’ve sampled enough of each from places proclaiming to be our country’s finest capital on the subject(Wichita, Kansas City, St. Louis, Chicago, etc.). So I’d like to think I can tell what’s good or not good when it comes to BBQ. (Pssst… BTW, the absolute best BBQ in the country is in Kansas City… Arthur Bryant’s to be specific…) Anyway, as I was saying, Oklahoma Station BBQ isn’t all that great. First off you stand in line at the store’s front door seemingly all night just to get to the order station, all the while watching the meat carver sweating away under the heat lamp as he shuffles hunks of unsliced meat between his station and the meat locker. When you get there, you find the order station is reminiscent of a cafeteria chow line with all the condiment choices(i.e. mac & cheese, fried okra, potatoes, coleslaw, pickled beets, etc.) sitting in tubs. From the looks and smell you just get that feeling a bunch of it is reused/reheated over several nights and that«freshly-made» only applies to the meat being carved — nothing else. Along the same lines, this place apparently doesn’t know that you actually have to wash the ice tea container every now and again or else the old batch rots the new batch. Person in front of us ordered the shredded brisket — to my horror they slopped her brisket onto her plate from a tub that looked to have spent most of it’s life in a fridge before getting warmed under a heat lamp. I hope for her sake it didn’t taste like it looked! Seeing what I just saw, I opted for the seemingly fresher brisket sliced right at the carving station, and my wife had the ribs. Flavor of the meat & sauce? Not there — flavorless meat, boring sauce. Sides? Pickled beets were yummy although obviously from a can, the mac & cheese way overcooked and runny even by cafeteria standards. Food quality? Again, not there. Just unimpressive. Overall, definitely NOT«mouth-watering». Ugh… doing everything I can to hold my stomach down as I type this because my mind is conjuring up thoughts of «Kitchen Nightmares» episodes when they take you into the kitchen & behind-the-scenes. No idea what’s truly in the kitchen or fridges here except that — based on the food in front of me — I don’t think I want to see what’s behind-the-scenes! And finally, décor? Try busted-up hole in the wall… literally. It cost us $ 8.79/ea for the dinner meal plus $ 1.89/ea if you wanted something to drink. Don’t think that this place is «great for the money». It’s not. I’ve had far better BBQ& ribs for less money. TIP: Don’t go. But if you absolutely must, coupons for this place can be found regularly in the local newspaper. BETTERTIP: For a better-tasting and more enjoyable sit-down time, go to one of the«Rib Cribs» up the road. Yes, it’s a local chain with a goofy name but their food is better in quality and flavor and it’s just a nicer place to spend dinner than here.

Oklahoma Station BBQ is one of my favorite BBQ joints when visiting OKC. Served a la carte style, patrons form a BBQ assembly line ordering the most important part of the meal. MEAT! Their meat selection includes: –ribs –shredded brisket –hot links –sausage –chicken –ham –turkey There’s also a wide variety of sides ranging from your veggies to fried Okra. The service is fast and friendly with plenty of seating for dining in. At least once a year they’ll participate in a groupon special.

I have a confession to make. I think I might have ruined a great deal for the rest of you fine Oklahomans that OKSBBQ was offering(insert sad face). The Oklahoma Gazette always had a coupon for the OKSBBQ that let you buy one meal, which would then allow you to get a second meal for free. Suffice it to say, my friends, and I abused the hell out of this coupon. I noticed a few months back that they changed the deal where now you buy one and you get the second one for a couple of dollars(they might have changed that deal again recently) But you know what, this place is still so great that it makes no difference to me. The meat is delicious(although it has occasionally been dry), and I’ve tried every variety they have as far as red meat goes. The sides are good, although I personally enjoy the baked beans and green beans. The fact that I can load up on it for myself allows me to create a nice well balanced meal of vegetables, protein, and… well more protein with the beans I guess, but whatever. It’s great. Their mac and cheese and fried okra are also excellent side dishes. I can’t speak for the coleslaw, because I hate coleslaw and never feel the urge to try it. Their spicy BBQ sauce is the icing on the meaty cake. The people are friendly, and so are the patrons. I’ve actually struck up conversations with random strangers in this restaurant, but that might also be because it’s always old people in there. You know how old people love to talk. This place is great. I just wish my brothers liked it as much as I did, because I hate going by myself; you know, the whole coupon using cheap Indian thing.
