This is one of my favorite lunch spots downtown. Its quick, its easy to grab and its pretty cheap for the portions size you get! My favorite is the southwest chicken wrap(the salad just made into a warp) the poblano ranch is what makes the salad/wrap, it’s so delicious!

This isn’t a bad deli, but I thought it was a little overpriced(only slightly I’d say), even considering its location in the Chase building in downtown OKC. Also, every employee I encountered except the woman running the cash register and taking orders was unfriendly. I suppose its smart of Petro to put the nicest person at the register, but the others could at least make an effort. The menu is that of a typical deli, with some added salads and a soup. We ate at Petro on a Tuesday, and it was almost completely full of professional types from downtown offices. Be advised, the tables are very small at Petro. 3 of us sat at a table, and we had an issue with finding space for each guy’s sandwich, drink, and chips. It’s a tight fit. I went with the Italian, and I mixed it up and got it served on rye. The bread is not sandwich style, they were little hoagie rolls. The whole thing is probably 7 – 8 inches. The ingredients were fresh, and you get a good amount of meat. The bread was soft but stood up to the ingredients in the sandwich. This is important, bread can make or break a sandwich. Even though it was crowded during the lunch rush, they got our sandwiches out to us in a reasonable time, less than 7 minutes. Petro has some great looking salads and cookies, and given its proximity to my office, I know I’ll return. I just wasn’t super impressed with the service and seating.

I can’t believe this place hasn’t been added yet! Well, first off my co-workers are connoisseurs of inexpensive but good eats in the downtown area. They all love Petro Deli’s sandwiches which I have ordered once for a lunch meeting. I was really impressed with the bread and meat selection. They also deliver which is key for me! Today I walked over to the Chase building to order myself a salad. Their salads cost 7 bucks and come in a big huge to-go plastic thingee. I ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad which came with a breast of chicken, queso fresco, garbanzo beans, edamame, black beans, cherry tomatos, torilla strips and a side of Poblano Ranch dressing! Check out their website which shows a copy of their menu. If they run out of anything in the pre-packed salads in the fridge, I heard that you can order it and they’ll make it for you. The Salmon Salad is suppose to be their best! Try it out next time you’re looking for a good deli sandwich and salad on the go!
