The ice cream here is pretty solid and the line moved pretty quickly. I got a double scoop of mango and salted caramel. The ice cream here is very light, with sort of a whipped consistency. Salted caramel was a bit too salty for me.

The ice cream here was quite good. I had the graham cracker ice cream and it was definitely worth it. The ice cream was very creamy just the way I like it.

I’m always the black sheep of Unilocal.Always going slightly against the crowd. Perhaps it’s just my tastebuds. I actually, quite literally hated my ice cream. We stopped by after dinner and drinks at the Mule. It was actually my first time. Long line, but it moved pretty quickly even with just two girls behind the counter. They seemed nice enough but then with 25 people packed in like sardines, it doesn’t make for any above and beyond customer service, just your standard hi what can I get you great your total is have a great night. It’s mother effing hot in this joint with all those people on a hot summer night. I think I was sweating into my ice cream, and it pretty much melted once I touched it. I got a single scoop of cookies and cream. Ok wait, first of all, I am die hard Braums. Team Braums all the way. Here’s the thing about gourmet, local ice cream. If I’m going to pay $ 3PERSCOOP, I wanna know if you used local milk and fresh cream. Where did you get your cookies? Why do you use food coloring in the mint? What do you mean«made from scratch» cause for all I know these artisan ingredients in this artisan ice cream are loaded with the same junk Braums is, in which case, I pick Braums. Upon first bite, I said«this is gross.» I kept taking more bites to try and cool off frankly, and after a few I put my cup down and actually said«I hate this.» And gave it to a friend to finish. The ice cream was barely sweet. The overload of cookies was super dry. It had that off putting, underlying coconut flavor that some sweets have? You know what I mean? Majorly unsatisfying and I will probably be going to Braums today to make up for it.

Roxy’s is possibly the only running ice cream parlor currently in OKC. They use fresh ingredients and make some outstanding ice cream like the coconut or salted caramel and even have vegan offerings. Also they make YUMMY ice cream sandwiches, sundaes and floats. The interior is a fun family setting complete with ice cream bar with stools, etc. They also have a food truck that you may see about town.

Only my first time but thus far it’s a great experience. Well lit, nice staff and great food. And the spoons are colorful! Next time I will definitely get their root beer.

If there’s one thing I like more than ice cream, it’s local ice cream, and the salted caramel was a great way of perusing the shops of the Plaza District on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Salted caramel ice cream between two freshly baked soft chocolate chip cookies… need I say more? Fabulous friendly service. Cute store. Fun location. Can’t wait to get back and try more flavors!

Quality ice cream — they allow samples so take advantage! The pistachio was awesome, and they have pre-packed pints in the freezer for quick take-home option. It was busy, but we didn’t wait longer than 10 min in line. Very good and local!

Roxy’s ice cream is delicious — and their ice cream truck I have been chasing around a long time — so a visit to their brick and mortar is in order every so often because it is so cheery. The customer service here is so friendly and fast! The flavors are all delicious, but my favorite is coconut and also the milk chocolate chip. Just a happy little spot to escape your troubles, sit on a stool at the counter, and think about your delicious scoop of ice cream!

Food: 5⁄5 Service: 5⁄5 Cleanliness: 5⁄5 Décor & Style: 4⁄5 Very good ice cream. The place is small and usually no where to sit during busy hours. Great to grab on the go and walk around the Plaza area. For me I prefer to grab an ice cream and walk on over to Oak and Ore for a dark, crafty beer. That combination is the best.

I’ve only been here one time with part of the family. The service was excellent. We were able to ask questions and try different flavors before ordering. I got a scoop of strawberry to go in a cup. It was the best strawberry ice cream I’ve ever had! Creamy, slow melting point, and the flavor was on point delicious and not that artificial strawberry flavor you get from other places. My honey bear had the mint chocolate chip and enjoyed it in a cone. We both shared with our baby and he couldn’t get enough of it either. Can’t wait to try their other flavors next, but I might stick with the strawberry. It is soooo good!

Now I’m not much a fan of ice cream since it’s the beginning of the year and I am currently on a diet but man o man when I’m in the area I always come by here to get some nice creamy homemade ice cream. My favorite is the pistachio and they even have a cookie sandwich with the pistachio ice cream in the middle of the sandwich for just 5 $. Now it’s not a dinky little sandwich… It’s about the size of my fist(possibly smaller than others but it’s a good size to share with my husband and myself and keep us both satisfied) My husband likes their take on the float. I’ve tried almost all of their flavors and if you ask for samples they will happily give you a pretty good size scoop so you can fully explore the flavor within your mouth. I always come here when I’m in the area and sometimes I just plan to eat around the area just so I can come to Roxie’s! They also have a food truck that goes to h&8 as well. Bring your keep it local card and you get two stamps for a purchase. 10 stamps mean a free scoop!!!

I love Roxy’s! The BEST ice cream around OKC(besides Braum’s of course). My favorite flavor is pistachio. The first time I had Roxy’s was at their food truck at H&8th. I was so excited that they decided to put in a store in the Plaza District. Their ice cream sandwiches are THEBOMB. I always want to try every flavor when I’m there.

What a cute place! It’s kinda small, decorated with bright colors and the counter looks like an old fashioned soda fountain. On a Wednesday night around 6p in December, we were lucky to find a parking spot. But we had the Social to ourselves! Only one other group of people came in while we were there. Now, if you’re looking for a million complicated flavors to choose from, this is not the place for you. I have to say, that I really do prefer having a million complicated flavors to choose from. However, I truly enjoyed the ice cream I had! They have a list of about 7 or 8 basic flavors — cherry, vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream, mint, strawberry, etc — and 3 additional special flavors. Graham Cracker, German Chocolate(which was vegan) and Peppermint Hot Chocolate. My husband opted for one scoop of Cookies and Cream and one of Peppermint Hot Chocolate. I got one scoop of Cherry and one of Graham Cracker with hot fudge on top. My husband thought their Cookies and Cream was unusually good, I think because of having extra large cookie chunks. Before choosing the Peppermint Hot Chocolate he sampled their Mint, which he was not a fan of. He said it had a spearmint flavor that he just didn’t like. But he loved the Peppermint Hot Chocolate and the marshmallows in it! I went with one scoop of Cherry and one of Graham Cracker with hot fudge on top. It was a little light on the hot fudge for my tastes, but that awesome Graham Cracker ice cream sure made up for it!

I love Roxy’s ice cream. I’ve had several of their delicious flavors. All of them were AMAZING! If you want something more savory than sweet, try the salted caramel. If you’re a chocolate and/or mint lover than you’ve gotta try the mint chocolate chip. Their new fall flavor pumpkin spice is to die for! It tastes like you’re eating pumpkin pie. No fake pumpkin flavoring like most pumpkin flavored items out there for fall *cough* Starbucks. By the way, I love the painting of Roxy the dog on the wall. So sweet. :)

I could gush on and on about Roxy’s and how they have the best ice cream ever. But until you walk through their doors in the plaza, or visit their bright yellow and pink truck and order a scoop(and hopefully that scoop is coconut because I have dreams about it – its so good) it’s nothing words can explain. Another favorite of mine is the salted caramel but you’re kidding yourself if you can order the wrong thing here. I’ve never had a and scoop of ice cream or an ice cream sandwich that I didn’t love. Plus, Roxy is a cute dog and I love cute dogs.

Now that Roxy’s opened their brick and morter I feel like I can’t get ice cream anywhere else! Roxy’s is so darn cute inside and the always smily employees keep me coming back! I could order the pistachio every time, but the graham cracker and vegan german chocolate specials have me sold too! Order in an waffle cone though otherwise you aren’t really living.

Had to make up a new business since I think people are using the food truck address as the brick and mortar. I could not check in when I visited a few days ago and saw that the address was wrong so I think that one is for the food truck. Anyway on to the good stuff. Don’t know much about OKC but this looked like it was an area that was in the process of being renewed. There were a couple resturants and a bar or two around this ice cream joint(which I thought was a little odd since there were a lot of younger people inside), but hey whatever works. Easy to find with the huge sign. Apparently this was a decently popular ice cream truck. The place wasn’t super packed but there definitely was a steady stream of people coming in. The line moved quickly and I got my ice cream sandwich(Mean Green — pistachio ice cream/chocolate chip cookie) to kill my sweet tooth for the night. The inside was very clean and well lit. Very basic which I thought was very well done. The ice cream(pistachio) had a lot of pistachio pieces and had a good flavor. The cookies were a little thin compared to other ice cream sandwiches I have had before, but the cookies weren’t so overly sweet it killed the ice cream which was a good thing. Didn’t seem like there were too many choices when I searched Unilocal so hopefully this will stick around for a while and be enjoyed by many and the drunks from next door will respect the place. It was a pizza joint next door, but not too many people or kids eating pizza. Everyone did have a beer in their hand though. All in all it got me the sugar fix I needed and I would go back if I was in OKC again.

Not bad, but not amazing. I had a «Plain Jane» ice cream cookie, and surprisingly the cookie was the best part. I sampled both their«cookies and cream» flavor and vanilla, and wasn’t terribly impressed with either. The cookies and cream in particular was very yawn. Didn’t taste like any kind I’ve had before, and not in a new or interesting way. However, my friends all seemed to enjoy their choices, so perhaps just avoid those two? Botique prices(5 $ for an ice cream sandwich is a bit silly), but that’s the area.

Gave this place a try during Live on the Plaza. I had read such great reviews and seen the amazing pictures, so we just had to try this place out. So if you have not attended Live on the Plaza, it’s a mini or major(depending on the weather) street fair. All the local businesses on N.W. 16th stay open, people perform, food trucks set up and everyone has a great time. Setting the scene here… hold on. The line for Roxy’s was out of the door and spilled into Empire Slice House and Oak and Ore. The lines converged and spilled down the side walk. Still, it was a pleasant wait. I mean, you are in line for ice cream, right? The shop is as bright as their flagship food truck. Yellow walls with pink accents. The menu is pretty hefty for an ice cream shop and there was a variety of about 15 – 20 flavors to pick from. They also offered cookie ice cream sandwiches and floats, in addition to the standard cone or bowl option. Also, check out their homemade sodas. Spicy ginger beer, root beer and orange. I opted for the 2 scoops in a bowl. Scoop 1 was pistachio. I love this green concoction. It was the perfect blend of that hard to get to green nut and sweet ice cream, with a hint of salt. Scoop 2 was the cherry. Bright pink with huge chunks of maraschino cherries. The flavor was light and bright. My husband chose the«Cookie Monster» with two huge chocolate chip cookies and a giant scoop of chocolate chip ice cream. It looked amazing, but I was not allowed to taste it thanks to David’s cold… or maybe that was something he told me so he would not have to share… hmmmmm. Anyway, the damage was about $ 11 and was well worth it. The texture of the ice cream was firm, and creamy. The flavors, full and well rounded.
