The Black Scintilla

Okay I totally love this little shop. Besides the great location right in the hustle and bustle of Midtown, I was happy to see the shop owner working in the store. She was on a work-​related call when I got there, numbers and inventory and such, but she quickly wrapped up and came over to help me, which I really appreciated. I loved getting to visit with the shop owner and look at all the great gifts, clothes, accessories and more.
Specifically, I was in the market for some sheer kimonos for over dresses. Maternity dresses can be pretty blah, but these comfy and stylish kimonos really are so great for making a dress look totally different and much more like a well-​planned outfit rather than just a shift. She helped me find the right size and we talked about other options that might be a good choice for me to get through the hot summer being super-​preggo.
When I worked Downtown, we had nothing like this, and I’d often find myself in a panic trying when I needed something at the last minute to wear to a party (you know, when you thought you could wear what you wore to work and then decided that sounded like a terrible idea). Well, now you have it! Black Sheep to save the day, or maybe the night.
