First and foremost I would like to think the owners of the stables and all of the staff. They were very friendly and I appreciate everything you did for us Sunday when we rode. The horses in the Stables were very healthy well trained& gentle. when we went riding a very beautiful scenery .we all took our time we even singing happy birthday to a little girl that’s how friendly these people are and the ride was wonderful and peaceful so if you ever want to go do something for yourself or your family I would recommend going to Draper Lake and riding on their horses and be kind to the horses and to the staff as well!

Great price, great experience, the guide was knowledgable and helpful. Would recommend this place. The ride is thru the woods, by a lake, good amount of horse back time. Horses are tame and easy to ride.

Just wanted to put up my review of this place, which is the complete opposite of the other two reviewers before me. I have ridden here probably half a dozen times now, and this is one of my favorite things to do when I visit Oklahoma. The area you have for riding is huge. There are trails all over. It’s a really beautiful place. You could ride all day and see different wildlife, and take different paths through the woods or stay on the road going around the lake. When you arrive, you’ll most likely deal with Donnie. Well… What can I say about Donnie? He’s one of those people you just have to experience for yourself. Don’t take that the wrong way, like its a bad thing. He’s just a character and he is who is is. He just says whatever’s on his mind. He’s pretty«country» too. So for a city person like me, from Las Vegas, sometimes he can be pretty hilarious. He’s definitely good with the horses. He’ll tell you what to do on the horse and how to ride if you don’t know what you’re doing. You can tell he’s really into those horses. I like people that are down to earth, just tell it how it is, so I think he’s great, but that’s me. The horses are cool. Donnie asks us how much riding experience we have and selects the horse that’s best. They’re all nice horses. I mean horses are horses. They are trail horses. They’ve been on these trails hundreds of times and just plod along. I did a night ride and it went late and I was tired. I think I had a little cat nap on my horse. But when I woke up, he was still plodding along, on auto pilot. Now when they get close to the barn, on the way back, they tend to pick up the pace a bit, but that’s just a horse being a horse. Overall, they seem very well behaved and used to a lot of beginners riding on their backs. The rate to ride is more than reasonable. I like to do the full moon night rides and those run about $ 30 bucks for a good 2 or 3 hour ride. I usually tip the wrangler if we had a good time and we always do. I recommend this place to a lot of people and I give it 5 stars on Unilocal. If you are expecting some super bougee stables with top knotch ass kissing customer service, this probably isn’t the place for you. But if you like beautiful nature and want to see the lake by horse. This place is it. Don’t forget to bring some carrots in your pockets and some bug spray!

The experience was«okay». Could’ve been better. They could treat the horses better and the wranglers could be nicer to us. It really is «ride at your own risk» kind of thing. The view was the only thing I loved about it all! Absolutely beautiful.

While our group did have fun together, our person in charge was very rude and did not explain anything to us at all. We had no idea what we were doing and as a result, I was thrown off my horse. With no hesitation, the leader expected me to get right back on and was questioning why I was not talkative for the rest of the ride… after landing right on my back.(I found out later that my horse needed an advanced rider… when i made it clear I was a beginner. and that horse did not know the horse that came up behind it to spook it) I am now having to miss work and spend lots of money on this injury and might have a severe back injury. While I know that getting thrown off a horse is a risk that we take full responsibility for… the way it was handled was not okay. I will not be getting on a horse for a long while after this experience.
