Matt was very friendly and helpful. Tired of Ma’Bell — we switched to Verizon and it’s been smooth sailing ever since! 4 months on Big Red: so far faster, more reliable, and it just feels right. Also, the iPhone is where it’s at — all the Android phones feel like they were made by Fisher Price.

I finally got sick enough of T-Mobile’s shenanigans to kick them to the curb. I won’t go into the litany of complaints I have against them here; suffice to say they suck. Big Ones. While living in Seattle, I had Verizon service and was very happy with it. When I moved back to Oklahoma in 2006, I found that Verizon hadn’t set up shop here yet, thus my relationship with T-Mobile. I wouldn’t touch Sprint with a 10 foot pole, their service sucks, and besides, they once turned me down for a software engineering position — but the ones they did hire got laid off a few months later anyway. So neener neener. But I digress… Thoroughly disgusted after yet another over-bill followed by a number of dropped calls and a consistent 1 – 2 bars, I stopped by the Verizon store. I met a very nice sales rep named Chris, who was very helpful in getting me set up with a new iPhone — not to mention a calling and data plan that was far superior to T-Mobile for about the same price. Within 30 minutes, I had a new phone with my same number, and T-Mobile was history. Chris was very helpful and got me up and running fairly quickly. If you’re one of the unlucky ones who feels trapped in the 9th Circle of T-Mobile Hell(or any other crappy provider), stop by and check out Verizon. I’ve had them over a month now and am very happy.
