Gone are the days of waiting in the never ending pharmacy line at 23rd and Classen. Hallelujah! The«new» Walgreens at St. Anthony is worth the slightly complicated parking and lack of drive through. This branch caters mostly to the patients and staff at the hospital. As a result they are set up for quick turn around time. The store is tiny with just a few snacks and OTC medications/supplies. It is convenient to pick up stuff with your meds but the thrust of this Walgreens is definitely the RXs. The staff is always friendly and efficient. The wait times 9 times out of 10 are short and sweet. They also seem to be well staffed with support staff and 1 – 2 pharmacist which means questions can quickly be answered on the phone or in person. I typically park on 9th street outside of Starbucks for a much quicker trip than looking for a space in the parking lots. I am usually in and out within 5 minutes which makes this Walgreens totally worth using. However, they are only open business hours(8a-6p) and closed on Sundays so the trip requires some forethought. I highly recommend this Walgreens for people who live anywhere close to Midtown/downtown. I love it!
