I only visited while I was in town(our hotel sent guests there because they had no gym), but I am a fan. Since I was not paying for my time there, I can’t speak to whether it’s a good value. There are plenty of treadmills/elliptical machines to keep congestion low and the environment is really non meat head. Their spin class instructors are energetic and fun, but I would have preferred a faster soundtrack(it’s tough to max out to oldies).

I am a person that is fairly new to working out. I’ve only been going to the gym consistently now for about 3 months, and prior to that it was off and on(mostly off) for about a year. After coming to the conscience realization that I haven’t been eating well and need to feel more fit, I finally decided to join Aspen Athletic Clubs with the reasons being that it is close to where I live and work, and I need the consistent workout routines that a gym provides. Our apartment complex has a fitness center, but with only one of each machine(treadmill is out-of-order) and no free weights, I did my research on some gyms and finally decided to join this one. This gym is great! And actually, I feel bad about calling it a gym because it is more of a fitness club. I’m a small guy, about 5’6 and 120 lbs so there’s no gymtimidation from the muscle heads grunting that you would get from other gyms. There’s ALWAYS a cardio machine available whether it be a treadmill, elliptical or bike machine. They have plenty of all around circuit workouts for chest, shoulders, back, legs, etc and two sections of free weights as well. There’s spin/yoga classes if you opt for the Elite membership at $ 30/month, but if you want cardio and weights only, there is a $ 20/month tier as well. The facility also has locker rooms, showers and saunas, kind of a one-stop-shop. I’ve heard that there is tanning available here but I still have yet to find out where it is. Management and the staff here are very nice and helpful. They don’t ever put any pressure on you to join and allow people to try the gym for several days free before they decide. I did receive a lot of calls from them when a friend recommended me for the gym, but it was only to come in to pick up a free pass and take a tour of the place, but with no obligation to join. A lot of times, this facility offers a lot of membership deals. When I joined, they waived the $ 199 joiners fee as well as the application fee, with no annual contract; I just had to pay first and last month’s payment. Needless to stay, I will probably stick with this fitness club just so long as I’m still living in the area!
