Back Yard Burger

Great fast food option. I get the #6 with cheddar cheese and seasoned fries when feeling like having a giant tasty burger. Also there chilli is prolly the best I’ve had at a fast food place.

Great burgers and waffle fries. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Everything is usually clean.

Back Yard burger has a decent burger for being fast food although they could use a little seasoning. They have a good selection of special burgers that you can choose from also.
What makes me a fan of Back Yard Burger over most fast food spots is their chicken sandwiches. They have about 5 different options to choose from. What sets them aside from most fast food chicken is the chicken is juicy and is not wafer thin. The topping are fresh and the ratios don’t hide the taste of the chicken.
They also offer turkey burgers which are decent and a nice alternative. The healthier option would be great if they offered some healthy sides to go with it.
I tend to get the waffle fries and they are pretty good. Meaty and crisp.
Overall, Back Yard Burger is a good alternative to the typical fast food places with some solid menu items.

A pretty good option for a fast food burger so my husband says. I love their chicken teriyaki burger with pineapple on it. They have several chicken sandwich options. And their seasoned waffle fries are very good.
I do agree with others that the service is slow and the location isn’t a quick in and out.

Had a great lunch at this BYB yesterday. We had the father-​in-​law with us, who likes a bit of red meat to wash down his handful of statins. The wife and I try to stick to a vegan/​vegetarian and really enjoyed the veggie burger — good stuff.
The staff were really on the ball and it was a good experience. I look forward to going again soon. I hope that the owner gets the carpet replaced this spring. A snowy KC winter hasn’t been good to it.

Beats McDonalds BK.etc. They shouldn’t even really be considered fast food.
If your a veg. Try the Garden Burger! SOOOOOOO GOOOD!
Or if you can’t do a regular burger. They sell a Jr Burger Meal. Which is enough for me.

Great burgers, really friendly and quality meat. Really close to 44 if you are just driving through and need a good burger.

I have been eating BYB for years. Recently the franchise felt it needed an upgrade and let Church’s take over their old double drive thrus and opted for a standard dine in establishment.
I believe it was a wise choice. It was actually nice going in and ordering at a BYB. You order and they hand you a number and a cup for your drink if you got one. They then bring you your food when finished. BYB has never been a super fast food place. I suppose to reason for the original idea of double windows.
Other than the move, the food is the same char-​grill angus beef (I remember when they switched to this meat and prices raised) BYB. My typical order it cheddar bacon burgar with seasoned fries. Or if feeling different I’ll get a chili cheese dog. Cobblers and Oreo shakes are good too.

Flame broiled burgers that actually TASTE flame broiled. And the seasoned fries are also to die for. Not into beef? Try the chicken burgers.
My only beef with this location (no pun intended) is the fact that they are consistently slower than the other BYB’s in the area.

I love this place. One of the best burgers you will find around. I have been to several backyard burgers in town, but this one is generally very clean, quiet and the customer service is excellent. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the distance.
If you have a hardy appetite I recommend the #6 double meat burger w/​pepperjack cheese, seasoned fries. You are automatically upsized on this order which is a nice bonus. Now if you are a calorie counter then they have other things on the menu, but I have never really tried them. For the most part I eat healthy, but let’s face it… you gotta get yo grease on every once in a while: p and this is a good place to do it!
