Manhattan Bagel of Old Bridge

Bagels are really fresh. Pumpkin cream cheese is the best. Good value for your money and the hash browns are full of flavor.

My family has always gone to Manhattan Bagels when we plan on getting large quantity of bagels, and the punch card that gives you a free dozen bagels after purchasing 12 dozen was always a nice perk. Unfortunately, this location does not accept the punch cards because «they don’t have the hole puncher». I guess I haven’t been to this location in quite some time, because they used to accept them. The man working at the counter was very eager to bag the 2 dozen bagels I wanted, but was not very helpful when I presented the punch card. He brought his manager out to tell me the same thing. Neither of them could help me and the man at the counter gave me a blank stare when I looked at him with disappointment. Very bad customer service. If you don’t mind the drive, just go to the Manhattan Bagel in Spotswood off of Main St. You’ll save yourself tons of disappointment.

This place is terrible. I frequently go to the one in toms river which is exponentially better. The guy who seemed like he was a manager or maybe an owner was beyond rude. I had the punch card for the buy 8 sandwiches and get 1 free. I only had 2 punches left on it and wanted to buy 2 and get my free one. He says oh you can only use that at the same location you got it from so I ask where on the card it says that and he goes idk it’s on there. He then walks away, gets his stuff and leaves. Now I’m standing here waiting again for someone else to take my order. All the while he’s in a SUBWAY uniform. Then my group gets our food and it was terrible. There was only one employee making the sandwiches so each one sat and got cold while he made the next. The kicked of the whole experience is my receipt that printed on SUBWAY receipt paper. Clearly they don’t care about the customers; they are just in it for the money. Never visiting this crappy place again.

I come here once in a while for either a fresh bagel or roll. I always get the same thing on it, veggie cream cheese. Try the Asiago Roll, toasted, with veggie cream cheese. You’ll think it’s the bomb! Service was quick too. I would avoid this place not he weekend mornings. Can get super busy.

If I could give this place no stars, I absolutely would.
First and foremost, the food itself. It’s way overpriced for what it is. The portions are horrible, the taste isn’t all that great and I’ve seen plenty of employees handling food with no gloves (and even a few other nasty looking things). I’ve had my share of burnt bagels there, and other overcooked produce as well.
The management here is absolutely horrendous and is one of the many reasons I haven’t stepped foot in there in nearly a year. (I haven’t been on here in a while or else I would have wrote this sooner). I’ve witnessed a girl get terminated via a coworker, who told her the owner didn’t want to speak with her, the employees swearing up a storm and saying many offensive things without an ounce of respect for the customers and even some far too busy grubbing on food under the counters to sometimes help you out right away.
That said, neither the food or the staff makes me want to go there. Never again.
The only thing I wonder is if the other locations are this bad.

I got a bagel with lox it was over priced and got the smallest portion of lox I’ve ever seen. DONT GO HERE.

Wow! really surprised by the other review pointing out bad service and poor bagels that seems way out of Character for this place! In fact my experiance is opposite, Great service is the reason I switched from other near by bagel spots to this one for good. Bagels are fresh and taste great. I’m Originally from BK so I know bagels. They have other cool named sandwiches like the Emipre state turkey as well as other healthier choices. Love their Grilled chicken ceaser wrap. I come in with the family (young kids) and we all enjoy eating on premises, they bring your order to your table. Their to stay serving baskets and the super neat way they pack to go orders in special Individual serving boxes with side and pickle included is a nice touch. Food always fresh and staff very friendly. Very clean with pleasent atmosphere. well i guess to each his own.

Weak. The bagel sucked. The staff was worse. Rude, nasty people. Get over yourselves. If you don’t like doing your job, get a new one but don’t take it out on your customers. That’s what I get for going to a big chain bagel place. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
