The Haircut Place

Very good haircut, great atmosphere, unfortunately Paolo no longer works there. He was my go-​to guy and he did a great job so it was sad to hear that I couldn’t go to him anymore. Regardless this is still a quality establishment, I am just a little disappointed I am unable to contact Paolo again.

I’ve been in twice now; I’d give the first cut ³⁄₅ stars because I hadn’t had my hair cut in months and anything felt like an improvement at the time. An older gentlemen cut my hair and was very friendly, though the haircut wasn’t quite as detailed as I’m used to. This place is very affordable though.
The second time I went in was with a woman who didn’t speak to me. I think it may have had to do with the fact that she was wearing a surgical mask during the entire haircut. To each his own, but it did put me ill at ease. I felt that she was either concerned about bad hygiene of the customers in the establishment (which gave me pause as she used tools from her messy workstation) or that she herself was ill yet still at work. In any case, it was extremely off-​putting. If the haircut had been better, I would have forgiven the bizarre incident. However is wasn’t good, and unfortunately I did have to visit a salon to have the cut fixed. ¹⁄₅ stars for that experience.

All I can say is that this place just gained a long lifetime customer. Jerson is a magician with the clippers and a very genuine fellow– he showed tremendous hospitality. He truly takes his time and makes sure every stand of hair is in place. Great quality of work and I’m just glad I found someone I can trust with my hair. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and it came out identical! I am so pleased with the finished product that I am currently typing this review on the couch of his shop. Look no further, forget about any other haircut location and definitely try The Haircut Place! Yes I know, the name could use some work.

I just moved down to Stamford in July, and like anyone who is new to the area I have to find all of the new places to go for «life’s little necessities». Of course, one of them was finding a place to get my hair cleaned up.
Like anyone of this day and age, I use online reviews to guide me, and my online guidance took me to «The Haircut Place» and introduced me to Paolo.
Just like everyone else has said in the reviews, The Haircut Place is incredible. If you’re looking for someone who upholds customer service and attention to detail, Paolo is your man. He’s incredibly polite and professional and aims to please. His service exceeded my expectations, and he made sure I was satisfied with what I was looking for.
The atmosphere is a cozy little shop with comfortable seats and definitely a relaxed setting.
For all of you guys out there looking for a great haircut and great service, and live in the greater Stamford area, The Haircut Place in Old Greenwich is worth the short drive for one of life’s little necessities in the form of a haircut.
The only reason I would knock down my review is because I want to make sure I can get my hair cleaned up again in 4 weeks… if too many of you start using Paolo at The Haircut Place, I may be out of luck!
Good luck to this young man and his business partners, they are surely worth what they advertise!

Just went to the Haircut place at the recommendation of a co-​worker and have to say this may be one of the best haircuts i have ever gotten. I got my haircut from Paolo who is extremely professional, methodical, and precise. I have never had anyone do free hand with clippers to smooth out a fade before and he does it with the precision of a surgeon. I will DEFINITELY be going back!

We had a very disappointing experience here today. We have been going here for my son’s haircuts for a number of months now. I had called yesterday and made a 3:15 pm appointment with Paolo, who regularly cuts my son’s hair, and left my phone number. At 3:15 pm on the dot we walked in only to be told, by Paolo, our appointment was at 3 pm and there were now 2 people ahead of us and we would have to wait until 4 pm, which didn’t work for us as my son had another appointment. I reminded him it was at 3:15 pm. My son doesn’t get out of school in time to make a 3 pm appointment and I would never have made it for that time. All I got a half-​hearted apology and Paolo said that 4 pm was the «best» he could do. So much for customer service, particularly with a repeat customer. No, the best he could do would be apologize for THEIR mistake and honor the appointment. And, if he really thought the appointment was at 3 pm he could have called me to see where we were. I think he was just trying to squeeze in as many people as he could and he simply didn’t care that we had an appointment. We only got lucky because a woman who works there had an opening and she cut my son’s hair. We will never go back. Really poor customer service.

First time here in many years. Got an outstanding haircut from Paolo. He was so attentive, precise, didn’t stop till every hair was just right — a perfect haircut, unlike anything I have seen in ages. Paolo is my new guy, you won’t go wrong with him.

Been going here for the last six years since I moved from back-​country to Old Greenwich. I was concerned because the Ave and downtown have a plethora of decent options for haircuts, but was pleasantly surprised when I tried this place out. All of the people here are friendly and talented, while the prices are reasonable ($ 20 – 30 range) – especially for the quality of service. Clean, welcoming interior décor if you’re concerned about ambience while getting a haircut. Highly recommended.

I’ve been getting my haircut from John at the Haircut place for about a year now. The quality is consistently excellent, ambiance is great, and the prices are very reasonable. Additionally, John and the rest of the staff are very welcoming and friendly. You can’t find a better men’s haircut in the are for the price.

I been coming to The Haircut Place for the past 7 months. They are always point with their service and giving excellent haircuts. Specially now you can go in, get your haircut and watch the world cup on their nice screens. I enjoy going to this place.
