I went to Smiles by Zee back in June of 2015 just for a general checkup and cleaning. The staff was nice and I thought the service was great. I went home to my husband raving about them and suggested them to all my friends. However, I found it odd that it took THREE visits for me to get everything I needed done. They are only open during regular work hours, and have no appointments during lunch or on the weekends. So I had to miss at least 6 hours of work in order to get a cleaning and to get some minor tooth bonding replaced. Needless to say, this didn’t go over too well with my job. If time were my only complaint, I would be giving more than one star. Unfortunately, that is not the only issue I have had.
During one of my appointments, it was suggested that I get my bonding replaced on a couple of my teeth and since my insurance was covering it, I figured it wouldn’t do me any harm to have it done. After all, I had the old bonding (done by my dentist in Chicago) for 10 years and it had been great for me, no issues with it during that time whatsoever. But I know it only lasts so long, so I decided to go for it. They replaced my bonding at Smiles by Zee at the end of June 2015 and everything turned out well, looked great and I was very happy with the outcome.
Just a couple of days ago, I noticed that one of my bonded teeth had a very noticeable chip on the bottom of it. Very obvious. Now, I don’t bite into hard foods, I always make sure that I cut up my apples or anything that could be damaging to my teeth before I eat it and I’ve mastered this. I’ve never had any issues with chipping or damage to my old bonding that had lasted me over 10 years. Obviously, something happened and it may have been my fault but I can’t think of a single instance that could have caused it, And from experience, it shouldn’t be so fragile to begin with.
Well, here we are only 4 months in, and it’s already not holding up. I called as soon as I realized and left a voicemail on their machine to have them call me. I explained the situation and I suggested that it be fixed for free since the service was performed so recently, and let them know that if they did not want to fix it for free, I would be taking my business elsewhere. This was 5 days ago, and I still have not received a call back.
So not only do I not suggest getting your dental work done here, I also take back what I said above about the customer service being great. Five days without a phone call back, regardless of whether or not they were willing to fix their mistake for free, is unacceptable.

My first visit at Smiles by Zee was a couple of weeks ago. I went in with a broken tooth. My childhood fear of the dentist has long been an issue for me. Dr. Iqbal quickly made me feel comfortable with the whole procedure. Today I just got a deep cleaning. I would recommend anyone the suffers from a fear of the dentist to go out of their way if that’s what it takes to visit Smiles by Zee. Extremely friendly and professional staff, that will make you feel relaxed, and at ease. Definitely the best Dentist I’ve ever had!
