OMG! What a difference a Chef can make! Went for brunch today, a bit pricy but well worth it. I am so glad that Raffi has found a home in Olean again! The atmosphere and the food is excellent. Great service too. Please try this place again if you gave up before. I hope to see more of his Indian/Pakistani flare add to the menu in the future!

Ambiance was excellent… prices excellent… staff was very service oriented as well as Manger was cordial. had the Special… prime rim sandwich with onions and mushrooms… mushrooms and onions very good… some of the worst prime rib I ever had though… tough and mostly all grizzle… Fiancé had excellent scallops as her main course however… So I’ll give it a three.

Food was good but the restaurant was understaffed with only one young lady waiting tables. Décor is lovely, menu okay but they need to address staffing. Wine list was very mundane with wines that would be served in lower cost establishments. No coordination with the menu

Still WAY Over priced even since the revamping and reopening after being closed for 4 mths — with a more«affordable home style menu.» Still referring to themselves as «fine dining» but serves butter in packets with the bread and mainly, now, has a menu of overpriced pot pies, skewers and baked potatoes for main entrees! The Child’s slider burgers(from children’s menu) were rare, not cooked enough for a child to consume safely. Asparagus was way under cooked, it was like biting into a raw carrots. The side of «couscous» was more of a creamy risotto which was so salty, it was inedible. We asked for drawn butter for our seared scallops(which was only a dinner special) and received half soft/half melted butter from the microwave. Def was not drawn butter. How embarrassing! Waitress threw an attitude after I complained the the manager. Never compensated, no free dessert, not even an «im sorry» by management NOR was it offered to remake any of our dinners!!! Spent over $ 80 for 3 to eat. 2 others dined but paid that bill of $ 30 and one was a child’s meal! NEVERRRRR going back. Shameful. Try closing again for another 4 months and see if you can actually improve this time and deserve the title of «fine dining» UGH

Hubby and I decided to try this place for the first time. Entered at @ 6PM on a Wednesday evening. Really a pretty looking place for Olean. Not a soul there. Sat down, ordered drinks. He ordered sparkling water, and received the wrong thing, flat instead. To be fair the waitress did replace it with the correct one. The rolls were our first red flag. Food service type, cold rolls, brought to the table with butter in plastic packets. Salads: cold, to be sure. Dressing: bottled type. Salads had large slices of cucumber and onion with the greens. Really they could’ve used a few more interesting textures. My salad was ordered with«honey glazed citrus salmon». Cooked to the right temperature, but absolutely no hint of either honey or citrus was detected. Hubby ordered swordfish. A strange tenderloin shaped piece of fish was delivered, over rather wet looking rice and asparagus. He said the asparagus was good. The swordfish could’ve used another minute over the heat, and the rice was very suspiciously similar to Uncle Ben’s, cooked a bit less than it should have been. The dessert was red velvet cake, which we shared. Just so-so. Our waitress was great, solicitous and helpful. Understandably, since no one else ever came in the whole time we were there. Too bad, next time we will probably go somewhere else to spend the $ 65.
