Not happy with my updo… Its decent but not great pretty bummed. Service was good. But not the hair style.

The ladies in this salon are amazing! I work a crazy schedule, and I never know who I will be able to see. Everytime I have been in, I have left looking amazing! They are all true artists both with cut and color!

Love, love, love Moda Capelli. My hair has never looked better/​healthier and my color is always perfection. We’ve also used them for an updo for a formal dance and their work was phenomenal in that area too. It can sometimes be hard to get an apt so always make your apts way in advance.

After reading the reviews and checking out their website, I was super excited to book my appointment for a cut, color, and eyebrow waxing.
I got to my appointment. The place was gorgeous and the staff friendly. The girl that did my hair was fabulous and I started feeling confident that I found my permanent Hair Salon (recently moved to the area).
However things went from amazing to a nightmare fast.
I spoked with the girl doing my hair and went over what I wanted to do with my hair. I showed her a picture with a girl with copper red hair and the length was just below her chest. I told her that’s what I wanted.
So she began mixing my dye which took an extremely long time because the day I got my hair was April 1^st and I guess it’s appropriate to pull pranks and create a loud ruckus while with clients… So I was in the chair for a good while just waiting for hair dye…
After the laughing settled down, the girl came out with the dye and began the job. We chatted and when it came time for the reveal I was so excited, but was shocked to see my hair wasn’t much different from the auburn i came in with. It was different but far from copper red. It wasn’t even a light red.
I shook it off and was hoping it would lighten more once it dried. So we then began to work on length. I showed her where I wanted it cut, but I was at a loss when she butchered my hair just past my shoulders. No warning. Just gone. I came in with hair down to my waist and left with hair barely below my shoulders after showing her specifically that i wanted it below my chest.
Well the damage was done. I stayed cool in the chair so I didn’t get her worked up and cause her to do a worse job. She dried it and sadly my hair did not lighten up.
I was devastated. I paid. I left. My fiancé was shocked at the length. I played it off. Then I got home and attempted to put it up and couldn’t because it was too short. I burst into tears and i was so upset for days that i couldn’t even mention it. I felt very uncomfortable with the hair length.
I finally got the nerve to contact them to complain. We played phone tag. I wrote an email and haven’t heard from them. I’m not interested in any services from them but an apology or acknowledgement would go a long way.
So disappointed. I will never go back.

Aly is the best! I have gone to her twice now. Both times I came in with a picture of a hairstyle that majorly changed my look. She is so good at making your hair just how you ask for it. Seriously, I don’t know how she does it. She is also great at asking questions along the way before she goes *snip, snip* with those scissors. I highly recommend Aly – she is a pro!

Emily Trujillo is amazing!!! I have done a bleach and tone for *gasp* like 30 years… what? Lol. It is hard to find someone who really knows how I like my color. Well, her name is Emily and if you lighten your locks then you’ll be glad I recommended her

Great comfortable atmosphere. Alyssa regularly cuts and colors my hair. (Blond with a purple hombre.) I always feel extra sassy after seeing her. And the appointment reminder texts are a wonderful.

Had an appointment with Rhea today & it was awesome. My longtime hairdresser decided to be a stay at home mom so finding someone new was a bit nerve wracking. Rhea was patient when it became clear I had no idea what I even wanted. Love the color & cut & already have my next appointment scheduled.

After traveling to Seattle for haircuts for the past four years, I finally had a great haircut at Moda Capelli. The stylists are very talented and the atmosphere is welcoming, but why is it so hard to make an appointment?
I have been going to this salon for only about eight months but I have never had the telephone answered when I call. After leaving a telephone message, we play phone tag, sometimes for days. I finally had to give up on the phone calling and stop in to book my last appointment.
Now I’m trying to schedule my next appointment. I was advised to call two or three weeks in advance, so I called in mid-​August to schedule an appointment for early September only to find that the next available appointment is in mid-​October!
Part of the problem seems to be that the hours very limited, which I guess is my problem, because obviously all the stylists are steadily booked. I will be so disappointment to have to find another salon but if I can’t schedule appointments when I need them I will have no choice.

I recently saw Aly and she cut about 8 inches off my hair. I was a little nervous since I’ve had long hair for years, but Aly is amazing and I knew it would look great. Now I have a trendy little «lob» and I absolutely LOVE it!
I found the prices to be very reasonable; I mean, you pay for what you get. I’ve gotten cheap haircuts before and they definitely looked it.
I’m sure all the stylists at Moda are great, but Aly is my top choice because she stays current on the latest techniques and trends, she has great suggestions, and her relaxed and sweet disposition really adds to the whole experience.

After many disappointing salon visits to various salons in Olympia, I have finally found a salon that exceeds expectations. I saw Rhea for a cut and color, and she was fantastic! She really took her time, listened to what I was wanting, and did an excellent job with my hair. The atmosphere at Moda Capelli is warm and friendly, and you can tell that these ladies are definitely some of the best in the area and are highly skilled. I am happy to say I am finally done with my salon search and will not be going anywhere else. Thank you, Rhea!

I had an appointment with Rhea yesterday and I’m so happy with my cut and color. She took the time to see what I wanted and helped me make a decision.
This salon feels so cozy, comfortable, and most of all welcoming. I loved the atmosphere and they even offer you drinks! I can’t wait for my next appointment, definitely going here from now on!

I had Rhea cut my hair after seeing reviews on Unilocal.She did an amazing razor cut for my short hair and was super nice. The salon is really nice as well, albeit very difficult to find if you are going for the first time at night. They don’t have good signage.
I would love to go back but after all was said and done my haircut cost 65.00. 50. for the cut and 15 for the tip. I am not a Kardashian so unfortunately I will have to find something in town with a better price point for my budget :(
I wish they offered coupons or specials but apparently they cater to a higher clientele. I could go to the infamous Gene Juarez Salon for the same price.
Anyway RHEA was awesome and if I ever have a windfall I would make her my stylist for life.

I’ve lived in Olympia for 5 years now and have had the most difficult time finding a salon with the right combination of skill, friendliness, and price. I’ve been to 6 other places in my search before I found Rhea at Moda Capelli. The staff is welcoming when you come in and the atmosphere is pleasant. Rhea is the only stylist I’ve been to who has successfully helped me transition my super short pixie past the dreaded awkward phase into something more manageable. That’s quite a feat. :-) Although the price is a little bit higher than I’d like (I believe $ 55 is the general starting point for a haircut), I realize this seems to be fairly normal for a good quality salon in Olympia, and perhaps I was indeed spoiled over in Spokane when I could get the same cut for $ 35.
Either way — Rhea has been instrumental in helping me get the change I’ve been seeking for so long, and I will continue to see her at Moda Capelli.

Wow! Had a appointment with Rhea today and I love love love my cut! She took the time to listen to what style I was going for, my life style and how the cut would grow out, made some great suggestions and she was warm and friendly! I can’t wait for my next appointment.
The salon staff are inviting and sweet. The Salon itself is relaxing, trendy and upscale. So glad I found my new stylist and salon!

I just had my hair cut by Aly schuller (who was referred to me by a friend) and I LOVE IT! Not only do I love it, but the cut and style have been receiving rave reviews at my office!
Getting my hair cut has been a very stressful experience for years because of bad cuts, bad color jobs, etc. I shared this with Aly, letting her know my anxiety was not due to her but was there none the less. She not only heard me but truly listened. She gave me a great color, terrific advice and a fabulous style job.
I also love the salon — great atmosphere and staff. I cannot wait until I return to her chair, which will be early next month for highlights!

Wow! I had Alyssa do my hair for my wedding and she knocked it out of the park! It was exactly what I wanted! She also did one of my bridesmaids hair and it looked phenomenal. Megan did my sister/​MOHs hair and once again, amazing job! I would highly recommend to any brides and bridal parties! Thank you Alyssa and Megan!

Excellent! Professional staff in a relaxing setting. We are new in town and I needed my hair done right away. I found this salon on Unilocal.The reviews were great and my experience did not disappoint.
I can highly recommend Rhea. She took the time to listen to me and provided excellent suggestions. The cut and color are perfect. I will go back for sure.

In hindsight, It occured to me I was most likely doing what some people might consider, a very unwise undertaking.
There I was, sitting in the stylist’s chair (15 minutes later than my scheduled appointment time) at Moda Capelli hair salon for my very first visit, working with a stylist I did not know, relying on her opinion to choose a hair style which would best suit me for a dance presentation, which was to take place in less than two hour’s time.
Did I mention I only had one hour?
A tall order in deed but thanks to the Unilocal reviews for Moda Capelli, I picked the right place.
The receptionist made me feel welcome and offered refreshments. She acknowedged the fact the sylist was running a bit late and offered an apology. Emily (the stylist) made it a point to talk with me and say she would be with me shortly (and was). Emily hustled the paperwork from the privious client without being rude (the receptionist had put in her full day’s work and was no longer present), then Emily gave me her full attention. She knew the exact hair style with the best movement for dance and was adept in its execution. She understood my hair type, explained what product (s) would work best and proceeded to use them in this visit without an added charge.
I’m pleased with the reviews others gave about this Salon. I don’t think I would have placed so much trust in a first-​time visit for a very special occasion, otherwise.
