I bought makeup I was unsure about and specifically asked the salesperson if I could return it if I was unsatisfied. She not only assured me that I could return it, she said I could do so without a receipt, that it would be «in the system». Today I attempted to return these items and all of a sudden it is not «in the system» and they are offering a return (store credit) that is ¹⁄₃ the cost. So in short, this is a store that finds ways NOT to help and to actively take advantage of their customers. They just said goodbye to a customer of 12 years and couldn’t care less.

Ok, so I made an easy online appt. with the Ulta Hair Salon in Olympia recently, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t know exactly what I was expecting… well maybe I thought it would be like any of those «walk right in» type of places, which on a couple of fronts it was… for example, if you’re wanting the salon with the incredible ambiance, and perfect lighting and water or wine while you wait… better go elsewhere. But what you will get, or at least in my last two experiences with Loren the stylist there, is a pretty darn good cut for a fraction of the cost of most of the other Olympia salons I’ve been to… and I’ve been to quite a few… I mean how hard can it be to find a decent stylist in the area right??:(Well, after several attempts at other salons, I’ve been very happy with my last two cuts here… and you even get a 30% off coupon for your second visit if you re-​book right away which I thought was awesome… no pressure sales here either, which I love… so if you just want a haircut, there’s no pressure to get your hair colored which I’ve encountered in my last several visits to other salons…(I get it, it’s how they make the big bucks folks) but still so annoying when I just came in for a cut thanks, and if I need a color job, I know how to ask :))…So give them a try. it’s a basic cut and style, no bells and whistles here but you won’t go out crying because you just dropped a fortune!

Got a haircut here for the first time a week ago. I was very pleased with the entire appointment. Go see Carolanne if you need your hair cut!

I love Ulta more then anything, HOWEVER, I am SO DISAPPOINTED in their customer service/​people who work there and they could know what REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE is!
One one occasion a few weeks ago, I went to this ulta to return some items I bought on line and when you order on line if you chose too, you get chose free samples, well this time I did and the gal who waited on me had the nerve to ask me where my free samples were, I said at home and I asked why she said I had to return them as well. I was surprised I said no you don’t and I said when you order those samples are FREE and yours to keep and I even called customer service and they said same thing I did. So the gal said well I will do your return without the samples this time.
Today July 17^th, went into this Ulta again with my mom who’s visiting my husband and I. She wanted to check out and buy OPI nail polish, as they are currently on sale 2 for $ 16 bucks, so I pick one and so does my mom, well the lady at the counter, rang them up and said total was 27 bucks and my mom and I look at each other and said ummm no, they are on sale 2 for 16 $ all top coats, base coats and ALL lacquers, the lady did not seem to believe us and went on her own to see for her self and she goes well I guess all lacquers so I will charge you what the sale price is.
Dear ULTA teach your people BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE and stop trying to make your customers feel stupid! We are NOT stupid and do not like we r getting ripped off by you!

I love this store! Every makeup and hair need is satisfied under one roof… and there’s a salon too! If looking for an excellent hair stylist give these ladies a try. My personal recommendation: Amanda. She listens and gives you what you ask for! She makes great suggestions and doesn’t force the up selling thing. Excellent stylist. Highly recommend.

So… Going to the women’s version of Home Depot is not on the top of my list of things to do on a Saturday morning, but it was worth it to me in the long run. My wife has traveled to the other stores to get her favorite products, and I have come along with her a few times, and I admit, maybe I have purchased a few of the men’s items for myself, and yes, maybe I have purchased some of the women’s facial products for myself, but only because they are better than what you can buy in the men’s section. Anyway… that being said, I scheduled a hair cut with Amanda. She has cut my hair before at her previous place of employment and as always, she did a great job! Ulta has also upped her game with top notch training, equipment and products! I recommend that you schedule and appointment with Amanda and then maybe shop around!
