After posting my initial review, I was promptly contacted by the owner who was gracious and offered to make it right, which is a sign that they care about their customers.
I’ll be sure to go back next time I am in Omaha.

Watch your money go up in Plumes. New staff every time I go in who seem to only want to sell you stuff and not teach you anything. Meh.

A great shop for your more advanced vapers, or someone trying to quit cigarettes!
Very knowledgeable staff, large collections of mods, and one of the largest juice selections I ever seen.
I’ve been to cape shops across the country and this is by far the best one I’ve been to! Clean, great set up. Definitely not your average, grungy, headshop-​esque type of cape shop!

You will not find more caring or professional individuals than you will here at Plumes. They are definitely passionate about what they do and from experience I can tell you that Sam, the owner, is not out to make money but to genuinely improve the quality of life for his customers.
I can say this because I used to be a customer. I say used to for a simple reason.
Not because the store did not deliver. Quite the opposite, it did exactly what I needed it to. I didn’t get into vaping to replace smoking. I got into vaping as a cessation technique when nothing else worked. This worked. I quit smoking September 25, 2013 and I quit vaping August 31^st, 2014. I have been completely nicotine free since then.
The staff knows what they’re doing. I never experienced anyone being pushy to make a sale. I did find people who were genuinely interested in teaching the products, their features, and what their recommendations would be.
Sam even personally helped out tremendously when this novice vaper decided to get a dripper and made a few mistakes with it.
I honestly love these guys. I’m sort of sad that I won’t be in the store for myself anymore. I can say that I have sent a LOT of business their way though.
You won’t find a better group of people. Period.

I decided to see for myself what this Vape thing was all about. The staff was friendly but a bit pushy. They must be working on commission. I did do my homework before visiting and what I wanted to hear from the staff was what the benefits were if I would buy what I consider a higher price product.
The young man that I spoke too kept telling me how they make the liquid in house and how successful Plume’s was. These are features that anyone can find on thd web.
The sales person also assumed that I was knowledgeable about the product and was not really effective in explaining the basic model to me.
I did not make a purchase. I decided to purchase from a different store. I am not going to spend my money in a store because it is where all the cool Vapers in Omaha go.
The staff really needs sales training.

Sam S, from Plumes contacted me and showed a genuine concern about my review. I was a bit hasty in writing my first review. Sam’s concern about my review tells me that the Management at Plumes does care about the customers experience. I think this was a one time incident. I have a number of friends that are devout Plumes fans, and they assured me that this is not the norm. I typically hold off on a review for a couple of days after I make a visit. My review was a bit unfair to the Plumes staff and management. My apologizes.
I will visit Plumes again to purchase an e-​cigarette system.

Plumes has a great selection of beginner to intermediate vape gear for fair prices, and a good selection of juice. If you visit when business is slow, you’ll have a great time with the knowledgable and friendly staff. However, when the crowd gathers, it really gets quite slow and sometimes difficult to get noticed, but I would imagine that is the price for being such a popular vape supply. I’ve picked up quite a few cartos from them before I got into rebuildables, and they have all been good quality. My Smok egos are still going strong after 10 months. My only complaint, is that I wish they carried more materials for rebuildables, like ekowool, ribbon wire, SS mesh. I think the store is really geared towards the new vaper, and when I was new, i really learned a lot from Plumes. I will definitely be back to pick up some Coffeeshop Hodgepodgery! Thanks guys!

I started using Plumes 3 weeks ago, and have been cigarette free since then. I had heard ads on the radio and then a week before I went to the store I was at a party where a friend had one and let me try it. Needlessly to say it was an eye opener, I could actually feel like I was getting something when I took a drag. That was one thing that Blu and other e-​cigs did not give me. When I went into the store, Dave at the 120^th & Dodge walked me through showing me some different starter kits and I finally decided on the Magnetic battery kit with smok rbc top which is awesome cause I can charge it and still use it. Started with Cherry Pomegranate 18 mg and I am already down to the 16mg level. I am loving how I do not crave or want an actual cigarette anymore and my kids and wife love that I do not smell of cigarette smoke. So thank you Plumes you have another loyal customer here!!! :)

Totally unimpressed wit this store and it wasn’t a friendly environment at all in my opinion! The sampling station had lots of empty samples and was a mess and the staff seemed to prance around totally engrossed with each other rather than the customers. (Customers were way more friendly than the staff.) I probably won’t go back unless I have no other choice. As a 3 month vapor, I’ve felt WAY more welcomed at other vape shops around town.

I’m from Dallas/​Fort Worth and came to visit family. Plumes was first on our list of vape shops to check out, as I wanted to find a friendly, helpful shop for my Mom to frequent in this area. This one was great! Helpful, courteous staff. Nice selection of flavors and 3 choices for the mL of nico-​juice to buy. Many different styles of batteries and accessories to choose from. We visited this shop at around 12pm, so I am not sure how the staff is during other shifts. Based in the knowledge and helpfulness of the 2 employees I interacted with, I’d guess others would be fine as well.

The two-​star rating says «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» And in this case, in Omaha, I have. That was my exact reaction.
There’s a lot they get right. The staff knowledge is top-​notch, the variety of flavors is fantastic, and the varied levels of nicotine (right up to 24mg, my usual dosage) are essential. The item I came in for was available right on the wall, and I imagine if I had paid and left, there would have been a third star in this review.
But, I chose to sit down and try out some flavors. Right away there was trouble when three continuous tanks had badly burned out wicks, and I got a nasty blast of nothing in my mouth. I brought it to the attention of a person who was working there, but I was told «Yeah, I know.»
The entire sampling station was in complete disarray, with tanks littering the table and placed haphazardly and incorrectly in the numbered slots. I chalk that one up to the customers… have some courtesy, folks.
When I had my fill and decided to pay for my item, the line was one other person and I, and we waited for ten minutes for an individual to come out from the back to cash us out. The one-​on-​one customer service stops when you head to the register, it seems.
Now…this was a Friday night and probably not the best time to be judging a smoke shop. But the bottom line is I had a more positive experience elsewhere. Short of a dire emergency and the other shop not being able to deliver, I won’t be back.

The shop has a lot of flavors to choose from and a lot of products to buy. The atmosphere is almost that of smoking weed in your friends basement. The plus side is a friendly staff. If you vape then you should make it a habit to buy from this store. It supports local business and may cause competition in the Omaha market.
