There’s something here for everyone! My husband particularly enjoys the Ramen from Yoshi-Ya & I’m a big fan of Clever Greens. I’m so picky about what goes on a salad and Clever Greens makes salads I like, and if you don’t like the options available, you can customize a salad to your tastes.

It’s taken me 7 visits and 5 months to muster up the data and thoughts to write a review about Flagship Commons. I have a lot to say! My first few visits were seemingly lackluster, and I wanted to wait till the dust settled a bit more to try more vendors and write a fair review. At this point I have finally made it all the vendors except the bar, so I figured it was time. Their website labels them as «an uncommon food hall» and I have to agree. There are not a lot of mall food courts in the Midwest that host this type of variety of food. Granted, half the food court is burgers, tacos, and pizza but you have to have something for the unadventurous to fall back on. As you can easily see in pics, Flagship spared no expense in designing this beautiful space for patrons to socialize, eat, work, relax. Rustic and Industrial, the fireplace and the plethora of seating is a welcoming and cozy space. Flagship has pioneered many culinary adventures for the people of Omaha and beyond, and I’m pleased they have made such a diverse choice in dining with Flagship Commons. The main stand alone locations of most of these restaurants are located downtown and midtown, so the actual free standing locations are more convenient for me to frequent in comparison to the food court at the mall, but this offers the«downtown/midtown» vibe to West Omaha, and I think the crowds agree that they love it. If you’re not bored already, read some of my comments about the vendors below: Amsterdam-Maybe it’s just me, but I still gotta give it to the original Dundee location. I have also tried their Haymarket location in Lincoln and Dundee still rules it all. I stuck with my standard falafel and fries, it was 4⁄5 stars. Blatt Beer and Table-Again, the original location is a stone throw from my house and we eat there a lot. The food here at the food court on the day I ordered was 3⁄5 with the original location beating it out. Juan Taco– Quesadillas-they were fine. Has anyone ever had a messed up one? This is simple business folks. Great for picky kids or adults: P Yoshi-Ya Ramen– Ah, and this is where the reviews gets lengthy. Ramen is one of my favorite foods and my experiences start in Hawaii and go through Japan with Ramen so to say I am picky about authenticity is an understatement. I’ve probably consumed over 500 bowls in my lifetime already! The Paitan and the Tonkotsu broth(chicken and pork, respectively) were both actually decent. The pork broth was rich and thicker as it should be, and the chicken was lighter and with a thinner texture. I was actually impressed with the broth. Noodles were chewy, springy, and fresh tasting, no dry boiled or frozen noodles seem to be used here. 5⁄5 for noodles and broth, two of the most important details. Then there were the toppings. There were heavily disappointing. The bacon chili oil is not a classic Japanese topping, and had too many sweet notes for me. Similarly with the Bamboo shoots-wayyy too sweet. Those two combined with the corn gave an otherwise lovely broth an overpoweringly sweet flavor. The pan seared pork belly was delicious, and the only topping I really enjoyed. Since I am not sure if they are actually trying to be traditional or give it their own spin, I dont know if the sweet flavor is purposeful or a mistake. I am not much of a fan and would get it again without the toppings. Yum Roll– Basically an extension of Blue sushi, with a «saigon bowl/chipotle» themed rice bowl meal. Pretty good idea for a food court. WeirDough– It’s pizza. Another for the pick eaters out there. Clever Greeens– Healthier than many of the other options and friendly for vegan and vegatarian that dont want fried foods or sushi. Aroma– Sets the space apart by bringing in a café vibe and making it ok to linger and do some wifi work on a tablet or computer. Very neat. Nicely placed near the fire place.

Flagship commons is an interesting foodcourt in Westroads. Although the choices of places to eat seem nicer than the normal fast food food court, I think I would miss having those options. My boyfriend and I both decided on Yoshi-Ya for their tonkatsu deluxe ramen with the bacon chili oil. Although kind of pricey, it is really good and fast. We’ve also been to Ika in Benson and thought it was good but the ramen took a long time, and you had to buy water. Since it’s a food court, you don’t feel as compelled to tip also. During happy hour(Sunday-Thursday, 7:30 PM-Close & Friday & Saturday, 8:30 PM-Close), the ramen is $ 2 off, and I think that’s a pretty good deal.

Quick lunch @yoshi-ya and ordered Tori Delux. Defiantly not one of the best ramen I’ve ever had but it was ok. Wish meat portion was bit more than 2 pieces. Last week I tried their falafel and it was fantastic.

Of course like any good engineer, I had to average all of my individual reviews into a single number to write this on Unilocal.I ended up with a 3.71, so rounding up to a healthy 4 overall. FINALLY I have a reason to go to the mall. It may seem like I took my sweet time getting to Flagship Commons based on the fact that they’ve been open since late December 2015, and I’m just now posting this review. On the contrary, it took me a while to get around to all of the concept restaurants. But I think now after 10 distinct visits, it’s safe to say I have a pretty good handle on the place. And, while I wondered if each of these locations should have an individualized review… this food hall mecca is best described as a whole. It is more than deserving of separate visits and posts, but this wonderland of options is an experience in and of itself. Read my full(and very long) review at

I finally ventured over to Flagship Commons today for lunch and really like the concept. As others have said, it’s a really nice alternative to the old food court. It still has all the benefits of a food court(many offerings in one place, quick) but is much more welcoming. And has infinitely better décor. Modern and comfortable at the same time. Love the fireplace in the middle. They get a 10⁄10 for aesthetics. I dined at Juan Taco, chosen firstly because of the GF accommodations. I like the food truck concept and it’s a great design. The problem is that the service is very slow, unlike most food trucks I’ve tried. I probably waited 10 minutes for my order – which somewhat defeats the purpose of «fast casual.» Once I got my food, I was surprised to see the salsa plopped right on top of the chips. I get that from an operational standpoint this is convenient, but takes away my salsa applying control. And after a few minutes, all the chips on the bottom got soggy. Not sure this was well thought-through. I ordered a chicken tinga taco and the carnitas taco(on corn tortillas) and was moderately satisfied with them. The tortillas were stacked double in typical corn tortilla fashion, but prior to serving they had evidently been toasted or grilled, which made them hard to bend and eat. As they cooled off, they became less and less pliable, and by the end, they were just stiff and unappealing. The meat itself was fine, nothing special in terms of seasoning or texture. A bit wet-meaty. The best part was the little mini salsas you can put on your tray when you pick it up. They have a creamy lime jalapeño sauce and also a rojo salsa that both pack a punch of heat but also lots of flavor. Yum. I’ll definitely be back to FC, but will likely venture to another vendor in the future… party to satisfy my culinary curiosity and partly due to my disappointment in Juan Taco.

I waited for the hype to die down a bit, and headed to Flagship Commons last Saturday for lunch after some shopping at Westroads. I had been dying to try the ramen, which I thought was pretty darn good. Go with the deluxe bowl, if it’s your first time– that way you can experience a bit of everything. The pork belly had a smooth sweet taste to it that I didn’t expect, but appreciated. I also tried a Philly Bomb from the sushi bar, which was terrific as well! I don’t understand the reviews about the pricing here. What do you expect? The restaurants are a class act just like the stand alones that FRG owns. This is meant to be an upscale food court experience. If you want cheap, head to the pretzel place that’s still right around the corner. Might I also add that Westroads has really cleaned itself up. New fixtures, elevator exterior, and a few other new eye popping décor changes have really spruced things up around there! I might stop defaulting to VP all the time, and head out there more often!

Flagship Commons is incredible! The first thing you’ll notice is how hip and well decorated this place is. Definitely something you’d expect to find in a trendy neighborhood in Dallas or SF, not necessarily something you see everyday in Nebraska. All of the restaurants here are top notch. I love that you can come here with a group, enjoy the food court style variety, but still enjoy a healthy meal with great ambiance. It seems like I may actually have a reason to visit the mall ;)

We had the ramen… dear lord, the grease content on this bowl is ridiculous. You can CLEARLY see a film off grease in your bowl. The pork was ok but if you’re trying to pass this off as American Japanese fusion just call it American because it is disgraceful to even think this is what Ramen is in Japan. Work on your broth and call me when you’re ramen ACTUALLY is Ramen. Adding instant Ramen noodles a few garnishes(wimhich you pay extra for everything? Seriously?) does not make it ramen, it makes it a tiny(and I mean TINY) step up from the one you get at the store. Not worth the price. Oh and need I inform you the sliders were just as greasy?

Wow. I just had such a delicious meal at Flagship Commons! My coworkers and I visited Flagship Commons to celebrate my birthday, and all were newbies to the area. We checked out the online menus ahead of time, and I’m definitely glad we did since there are 8 different food vendors and many delicious choices at each! I chose Yum Roll, which is by Blue Sushi(a favorite of mine!). After studying the menu both online and in person, I decided to go with the Yum Yum Bowl which is a create your own bowl with fresh ingredients. My bowl consisted on brown rice, lemongrass chicken, Thai peanut sauce, sautéed vegetables, spicy Korean slaw, and peanuts. I have to say, it was DELICIOUS! And for $ 8 I really felt I received a decent size portion although it probably could have used a little more chicken. Since I am a Blue lover, it was hard for me to be at one of their locations and not get the Crunchy Blue roll, so I splurged a little and ordered this roll at all(after all, calories don’t count on birthdays, right?!). As always, the roll was delicious. My coworkers ate at some of the other locations; one had a falafel at Amsterdam and said it was delicious, several had burgers from Blatt and raved about them, and another had a chicken quesadilla from the taco place. The only complaint I heard was the chicken quesadilla was a little small, so the coworker had to go back for a second round and get chips and queso. Overall, I would highly recommend going to Flagship Commons. The two employees I encountered at Yum Roll were super friendly and provided great service. We went over the noon hour expecting the place to be super busy, and while it was busy we did not wait in line or wait for food for an extended period of time. I also love that they take your cell phone number and text you when your food is ready, so you do not have to linger around waiting for your food to be prepared.

We went over to Juan Taco and the young man wasn’t very thrilled to be working. We have never been there and he wasn’t very helpful at all. He sold us items and declined to advise us that the drinks weren’t included and he wasn’t helpful in ordering. They were very understaffed. We ran our card a few times b/c we werent very informed of the menu. My little girl wanted a pizza so she ordered from the place next to Juan Taco. She also wasn’t very friendly and helpful in ordering. Frankly I also feel as though they should put as much effort in training as the building of this area. It took us an hour to order b/c they weren’t trained on the menu. Or(if) they were they weren’t helpful. If I wanted to be treated like crap I would’ve rather gone to McDonald’s were I would at least expect not much from them. At the very least a friendly face. Over priced and horrible service.

This place is fantastic. Don’t go looking for fast food priced food though, you’ll be setting yourself up for frustration. It fits a market gap in the suburbs between fast food and sit down, both in terms of price and quality. I found the price to be consistent with the quality of *most* everything here. Again, this is not your budget food court! The variety of options is what has kept us coming back over and over and telling our friends about it. Local beer. Local coffee. Great ramen dishes, respectable sushi(hard to find in Omaha), etc. The flatbreads were a little bland so he careful making a meal out of those. Also, be careful that if you want the full menu at Blatt Beer & Table to sit at their bar and tables along the exterior wall– they have a separate bar closer to Yonkers entrance that is full beer but limited food menu. If the lines are short try mixing up a la cart style. Queso from the taco joint makes a good appetizer. You have to be able to get over the mental barrier of «this is a mall food court». Times are changing. It’s okay people, there’s no shame in making this a destination to eat at.

I am very pleased with this new food court. The Westroads Mall has NEEDED this upgrade for a long time, and it was done right. The old food court was on the first floor, and was setup like a gauntlet for shoppers and restaurant patrons to walk thru upon entering the mall. You would walk down this skinny walkway with hundreds of tables on either side. Each table seemed to usually filled with obnoxious teenagers just hanging out and leering at the passers-by. There was just an uncomfortable vibe walking into the place. This never kept me from shopping, because I am something of an obnoxious teenager myself, but it did keep me from eating at the food court because I like to eat without people yelling and food being thrown around me(the last time I was there). I can certainly see how the old setup would kept away the older shoppers with the $$$. I happened upon this new food court by chance one day, and it is fabulous. There is a taco place, a suhi place, pizza, a vegan place, and a separate, full bar right out in the open. The prices are reasonable, the condiments are plentiful and accessible, and the décor is upscale. They also set it up so it has more of a cozy feel by placing barriers here and there to chop up the seating areas. Every restaurant has Fiji water– an option I love, because Omaha water sucks. The unconventional positioning of this food court on the upper level, out of the way, seems to give it more of a destination atmosphere rather than something you have to wade thru to get to the stores. I like it. Bravo, Westroads, for making this change in an attempt to stay relevant and more free of the drama that went on down at the old food court.

I’ve come here twice so far. Same food ordered, two very different experiences unfortunately. The first time I came here with my daughter, I was super excited to try it! I looooooooove falafel! I even managed to plan out what I was going to eat at Falafel before getting there. I met my mother and sister there. I don’t like the idea of going through the mall, but I suppose it may be convenient for some. The setup is super nice and cozy. Great for large crowds or singles. I got the falafel plate with hummus, garlic sauce, and lamb. The dish is served cold, was is super yummy. Lots of bold flavors and unlike anything I’ve ever had. The first time I came here, the employees working there were pleasant and patient. The dish was served in a boat style plating. I would have given the place an easy 4 stars, not five because of how pricey it is. You’re paying for restaurant quality food in a commons type of setting. I thought price would have been cheaper. The second time however, lack of customer service got the best of me. I ordered the exact same thing, except with a side of pita bread. This time, the plate came out on a red boat plate with holes in the side. The dish leaked out everywhere. It got all over me and the table when I was letting others I was with try it. When I had gotten back to the table, I noticed I was missing the extra pita bread. I let one of the workers know, and he said he would make me a fresh batch. Another employee said«just give her this» and it was some already made sitting on the end of the line. I told him I’d rather have fresh/hot pita. He became super defensive«it is fresh, it was just sitting down there!» I didn’t know what to say. The original employee just started making the fresh pita for me while the other stomped around«it’s so fresh, i’m just going to eat to show you how fresh it really is.» AND he ate the pita in front of me while I waited for the fresh pita. If I was his boss, he would have been written up in a heartbeat. No employee should ever be working and eating behind the line to «stick it» to a customer. It made me feel terribly uncomfortable. I loved the food, but holy moly, it was so uncalled for.

We chose to eat at the taco place. The food was okay. Nothing that I will remember. The queso and beans were the best part of the meal. It was very overpriced. I could have gone many other places and gotten much more food for the same price I really enjoyed the variety of sodas. I had a lemon blackberry acai soda(I believe), and it was one of the most refreshing drinks I’ve ever had. The environment was hectic. Try as they may to make the dining area comfortable, it was packed and loud. It felt more like a high school cafeteria than a relaxing restaurant.

I had really high hopes for this place. It is, revolutionary, in my opinion. a group of high-end restaurants getting together to make a high-end food court? Count me in! My first experience with Flagship Commons was last week. My wife and I met her mother and sister there for a nice dinner. At first it was overwhelming, with all of the choices from burgers and sushi, to Phở and falafel. After about 15 minutes of walking around and checking everything out, I chose to grab a regular burger and fries from The Blatt. The burger was very underwhelming. The Brioche bread was too soft and soggy for a burger, IMO, and the burger was just okay, nothing that I would have expected from a $ 9 burger. The fries tasted okay but were soggy, one of my pet peeves. The saving grace was the different kinds of soda that you could grab. I tried all of the pops from the special keg-looking fountain. They had Acai berry and their versions of crème soda, cherry soda, and root beer — all were delicious. Overall, this place has a lot to offer but I know the prices detour a lot of people there. An old man struck up a convo with me when I was walking around and he mentioned that he would never pay that much for a burger; and then he started on the state of the US economy and our president and so on. But the main point is that a lot of that generation won’t pay those prices. And frankly, it’s hard for me to as well. I thought the food would be cheaper than their restaurants since they got rid of a lot of the overhead cost, but it isn’t, which is a little frustrating. I’d go back purely for the selection.

The sushi here is Hy-Vee quality at Blue prices. Bland flavors, cold hard rice. Amsterdam Falafel’s kabob has the consistency of jerky and half of the awful sandwich is filled with chick peas. The curry fries are meh. I haven’t tried the other places, but the sushi and the kabob are not worth trying again.

I tried Amsterdam Falafel & Kabob, but I wasn’t real impressed with the food. The beef and lamb sandwich comes on what they call«flat bread», but it looked and tasted like a warmed up hamburger bun to me. The feta fries were good but not worth $ 5. Two sandwiches, the fries, and a fountain drink was $ 28. They charge $ 1 extra for feta cheese which is just large cubes of feta. I prefer it crumbled. There are much better and cheaper places for Greek food in town! I may try some of the other restaraunts in Flagship Commons, but I won’t be eating at this one again.

I am really excited for this new concept and food arena to be in Omaha. It really is a fantastic place. We were here on a Wednesday right as they opened. We made the rounds looking at all the options and being the taco lover that I am decided to go with Juan Taco for our first go round here. I ordered the carne asada taco on corn tortilla. At $ 4.25 I think it is a bit pricey for what you get. I also felt like it really didn’t have much flavor other then the salsa I put on it, although the meat was tender enough. I wouldn’t order this again. I also got the chicken tinga quesadilla. I felt this was a much better value at $ 3.25 as it was packed with meat and gooey cheese, however it was so greasy I went through about 10 napkins wiping myself down. This did provide more flavor though so it did taste much better, it was just a mess to eat! We also had to wait for our food quite a while and there were only a couple people ahead of us.(As I said, we got there right after 11am). I do like the alternative options here for drinks. We tried the lemon berry, vanilla crème, and black cherry. They were all great! There were people walking around keeping tables cleared and even taking our tray from us which was very nice. I will certainly be back to try the other options here and will update my reviews accordingly.

Food court food, food court atmosphere, full-service restaurant prices. $ 31+ for food I have to stand in line for and take to my table is ridiculous. To its credit, Yoshi-Ya has a great employee with the kid named Junior. Very nice person, courteous, efficient, informative. Otherwise, the food was ho-hum. Also, to get satisfied I wanted some kind of dessert. I had no idea where to get this, so we left. The really good thing about this place is it has Amsterdam, so I don’t have to go to Dundee, AND the soda selection is marvelous. I had Agave Vanilla Crème Soda – this alone will keep me coming back.

Oh this place is so cool, there’s so many amazing places to eat, but definitely be sure you eat at Blatt Beer & Table, get the chicken & waffles, soooo yummy! I would eat here again in a heartbeat! My husband also tried weirdough pizza, and gave me a bite, was tasty pizza, he tried the kebab/falafel place, & wasn’t really into it, but he’s never had a falafel before so he wasn’t sure what to expect in the first place, I don’t think they’re his thing to begin with, nothing against the falafel place. He tried the taco spot as well, and said the tacos were decent, but our number one choice was/is blatt beer & table. If nothing else, that place is a for sure winner~ Would highly recommend~

Im unsure how it should be rated. As a food court, or as individual restaurants. I dont see spots for each food spot. so… Flagship commons is a food court. I stopped in after doing some b day shopping. I was excited to see a yum chow(part of blue sushi). There was a bit of a line but not to bad. Ordering the taker did not know anything about sushi beyond what the menu item name was. could not tell me if the tuna was belly/medium fat etc. I ordered a couple pieces of nigiri and waited for them to text my phone my order was ready.(that was helpful) Trying to find a spot to sit down was difficult no tables available but I did meet a rude lady who was trying to bogart 2 for business meetings and not eat. Pretty sure she is going to tell about this rude guy trying to sit down and eat a meal there The sushi was not that good. the rice was not flavored dry and didnt taste like it had been washed properly. The worst sushi rice I have had. the wasabi was not consistent between the pieces. The salmon was cut poorly and cuts fell apart when i tried to maneuver. It was also the smallest piece I have seen and did not cover the rice. sushi presentation was just sloppy The tuna was decent and had good fat to it I can say over 14 bucks and the quality was poor. it was loud, cumbersome, and packed.

After a couple of returns, using a gift card I was given by Flagship Commons. I wanted to update my review. I’m giving an additional star for the super convenience of having Amsterdam Falafel and Kebab accessible without going down to Dundee all of the time. The preparation and quality of their offering matches the Dundee location to a tee. I was somewhat disappointed with a Blatt burger, disregard the hype of the description of the burgers, it doesn’t even close to burger place of the caliber of Five guys, or Smash Burger. The sit down area of this restaurant was also«off limits» to enjoy my meal, while it was totally empty. I probably would bought a beer, had they offered.

After one visit to Flagship Commons I am obsessed! The concept is awesome for a multitude of reasons. The first reason is because we now have many of Omaha’s best selections located under one roof including Blatt, Amsterdam and Blue! The next best reason is because the mall now has healthy choices when you need to grab a quick bite and trust me they are not bland. More about that in a little bit. Next the very popular Ramen trend is available and its popularity is evident based on the ever present line. The final reason, although I’m missing many, is that there is now a bar in the mall! How awesome is it that you can now send your significant other to the bar while you shop? A win-win for sure! Now on the my experience! Last night I had the opportunity to have a girls night with a couple friends at Flagship Commons. We all chose Clever Greens because of their vast choices and healthy options. I went with the Quinwow salad and it was delicious. Not only was it prepared in front of me using fresh ingredients but it was HUGE. I definitely felt that I got all that I paid for! It had spinach and kale in addition to quinoa, squash, avocado, sweet corn and a couple other ingredients. There were two dressing recommendations for this salad. A green goddess dressing and a chipotle balsamic. My only regret is going with the chipotle dressing. Not that it wasn’t absolutely delicious because it was but because I have a pretty low spicy tolerance and it was pretty spicy for what I can handle. I also ordered a fountain drink because in addition to the normal soda options they also offer some unique special crafted kinds. I absolutely love cream soda and I hate to admit but I drank 3 glasses of their agave cream soda. It was amazing! Overall this is an awesome concept and I’m so excited to have it in Omaha. I can’t wait to plan my next trip!

I’ve visited Flagship Commons twice since its opening and have really enjoyed it both times. On my first visit I ordered the Tonkotsu Deluxe ramen from Yoshi-Ya. I appreciated the signs while you waited in line that estimated the wait time.(And it ended up taking less time than anticipated — bonus!) I was really impressed with both the taste and portion size of my ramen bowl, although adding a way to make it spicier would definitely be welcome. On my second visit, we ordered a falafel sandwich, curry fries, and soup from Amsterdam. The same great flavors as you can expect from their Dundee location — excellent as always. On both visits, the line to order here, and the wait to get your food here, has appeared to be the longest of any of the restaurants, so something to be aware of if you’re in a rush. I’m sure things will level out and those kinks will get worked out soon. I’m a big fan of the Stubborn sodas, the line of craft sodas by Pepsi that’s premiering at Flagship Commons. The Lemon Berry Acai is a favorite so far! Yes, at its core, it’s just like any other food court. But its aesthetic appeal and local options elevate it to the next level. I’m looking forward to trying more of the new concepts, like Weirdough Pizza and Clever Greens, and checking out their lunch pickup service, since I work nearby.

I’ve been to Flagship Commons twice now. The first time to Amsterdam and the second to Yum Roll. The food so far has been really great. The atmoshere is pretty cool. However, I have never been a fan of tables so close that you can hear the other table’s conversation and you can make awkward eye contact. Service so far has been pretty great! I went there the second day they were open. Some places has extremely long lines(expected) so I chose one with a low line. I would say overall food is great, atmosphere is good, concept is interesting. The only thing that caught me off guard was the prices. It is a bit higher than your traditional food in the mall. Expect to pay restaurant prices. Salads 10 – 12, ramen 10 – 12, etc. You pay for what you get though. It is a step above mall food. I will be going again to try the other places out, but will not be a place I go to frequently.

I’ve been waiting for this place to open for what feels like months now. The concept sounded like it would be a bunch of my favorite restaurants and types of food gathered under one roof in a huge cluster of indecision-promoting deliciousness. When Flagship Commons finally opened, I was thrilled to find out that my anticipation was well warranted. I went within a week of the grand opening, and of course it was packed. Nonetheless, there were seats available(we didn’t mind sharing a large table with a few other groups), and the lines moved along at a reasonable pace. I also love the ambiance of this place. The high ceilings with large windows to let in natural light, the barn board accent walls and TVs, and the industrial accents create a really inviting barn/loft hybrid feel(If you’ve been to Blatt, it’s very much the same style). There are quite a few restaurants here, and I found myself paralyzed by choice for quite a while. I’ll be reviewing the individual offerings as I try them, but for now I’ll say that I started with a vegan ramen bowl at Yoshi-Ya, and that was a great introduction to Flagship Commons. I also got a rice bowl from Yum Roll to go(I did say that this place made me indecisive, right?) and that was tasty as well. I’ll definitely be heading back to try the other offerings from places like Amsterdam Falafel, Clever Greens, and Weirdough, as well as coffee from Aromas and a beer or two from the bar. When I find myself in the Westroads area(which is pretty often), this will be a frequent stop!

Not too dissimilar from Saigon Bowl in Aksarben Village. Pick a protein, sauce, crunchies, and garnish. Pay 7 – 10 bucks. Eat, enjoy, and repeat as needed. I met some friends here on New Years Day to get some food and drinks. This place is very spacious and nice. There are restaurants circling the outskirts of a large, open seating area in the middle, but that is where the similarities between Flagship Commons and a traditional food court end. Some of the restaurants have additional seating in their area or bar seating at the two bars(Blatt and a dedicated bar). There are lots of interesting food options for any appetite, including ramen, burgers and fries, tacos, sushi, baked goods, etc., but unlike traditional food court fare, this is food I actually want to eat. There is also a coffee shop and a couple bars scattered throughout. The bar has a great selection of beer, as well as some interesting craft cocktails. The service at the bar, in particular, was exceptional. On this visit, I just grabbed a snack(Frites) at Blatt while my friends had some alcoholic beverages. I obviously didn’t sample much of the menu, but what I did was on par quality-wise with their other locations. One of my friends wanted to try the sushi place, but opted for one of their protein bowls instead of sushi. She was pretty impressed with the quality of her food, as well. The seating in the center seemed ample to accommodate the crowd. They have one of those soda machines with like 1,000 soda options, and have a separate soda fountain that had traditional soda options(old fashioned root beer, cherry cola, cream soda, etc.), which is a really neat alternative. I also noticed a couple games scattered through(Foosball, etc.), which is a great option for both adults and families with kids. There were some service issues we encountered on our visit(confusion about menu options, cash register operation, etc.), but they were standard issues for any new restaurant that has only been open a few days, so I am sure they will be worked out soon. I would absolutely stop in here if I was shopping, and would go here again even if I had no intentions of shopping. By itself, this place is an awesome addition to Omaha. This is probably the only place in Omaha where you can meet your friends and all get something different(but delicious and affordable) to eat, and also enjoy some really good alcoholic beverages.

So far, I am extremely impressed. I was really excited for the ramen restaurant, Yoshi-Ya, but was very tempted by the other surrounding restaurants and inevitably caved in to try some other places. Since each individual restaurant does not have a Unilocal page(yet), this is my overall opinion! I went to the grand opening yesterday around 3PM and it seemed that the crowd had simmered down. Even when a few places had long lines, each one I stood in, the food still came out in a very timely manner. Each restaurant I visited had a text-alert system that sends you a message when your food is ready, allowing you to grab a table and wait instead of flooding the front of each restaurant. Pretty nifty way of decongesting the number of people in a small area. I was also fascinating by the mixture of rustic and modern décor — especially the string lights and the vintage-esque tables! Very hip place to dine and was definitely worth the wait. As for the food, I wish I could have gotten something from each restaurant, but my stomach simply won’t let me. First stop, Yoshi-ya: Tonkostu Deluxe was pretty good! Being the first official ramen restaurant in Omaha, I’m rather impressed. The dish could have had more meat and was a little pricy, but I guess that’s artisan food for ya. I did enjoy the broth and the noodles tasted homemade! Next time, I’ll be getting the ramen burger, something I’ve heard of and can now finally try! Second stop, Weirdough: the butcher pizza is incredible. Probably the best pizza I’ve had in Omaha honestly, it had mozzarella, pepperoni, and prosciutto. So much smokiness and flavor — I highly recommend. For 3 bucks, you get a pretty hefty slide of pizza, I would guess 3×9? Last, Juan Taco: ordered a carne asada, taco was pretty underwhelming and over priced. One taco was 4.5, plus extra .25 for cheese, guacamole, or sour cream. For 5+ bucks for a mediocre taco? Meh. Meat was a bit dry and there was no condiments to go with the taco, might give it another try in the future. I do like the built in «food truck» for the expo, going off the food truck-style tacos. Overall, pleasantly happy. I was excited to see a new Amsterdam location, and looking forward to trying Yum Roll’s rice bowls! I’m not sure about Clever Greens since I’m not a salad person, but all the healthy people seemed to enjoy what they ordered from there. Blatt and Aromas are also at Flagship Commons. There is also«draft soda» that you can get, as well as a community soda fountain — boyfriend said the root beer is amazing. Basically, I have more of a reason to go to the mall.
