I have had a korma craving for awhile, I can make it myself but today eating out sounded better than going to get the groceries. I Unilocaled and found Kurry express very closeby. its a across the street on the back side of Westlake ace hardware. parking is out front next to Patel grocers. there is quite a hill from Arbor to 144th street– I was happy today wasn’t a snow/icy day when I went to leave that way. the restaurant is very nice and clean. the food I ordered was highest quality and the korma was delicious. I had leftovers. the spices are amazing and the naan is superb. price is consistent with other indian places here and in Kansas City. very pleased this option is closeby.

Indian food is my weakness… and Kurry Express delivers a first-rate product EVERYTIME. I’d crawl across town for their Chicken Tika Masala… their breads are terrific. Staff are very helpful and always gracious. This is not a fancy venue, but who cares when you can order such deliciousness? There is no better in Omaha.

Best Naan in the metro area. Food is good and had plenty of flavor. You can tell the owners and staff are proud of what they serve and want to ensure you enjoy your food. Highly recommend…

*new location! Now located in the Oakview area. Expanded and improved dining room! The space is very nice, especially compared to the original location. Everything else is pretty much the same– from the awesome food to the friendly staff. Other notable additions: Coke fountain soda w/6 beverage choices and ‘gourmet’ paper plates :) New location is farther for me to drive, but still worth it!

The«best» place for Indian food in Omaha. My only regret is that it is so far from where I stay. The goat biryani and the chicken 65 are to die for. I recommended this place to most of my non Indian friends who wanted to try Indian food and not one of them was disappointed. For people commenting on Chinese food — Indo-chinese food is an Indian take on Chinese food. It is no where close to Chinese food but has a huge foodie following in India. The staff is very helpful and heads up — order biryani ahead of time even if you are dining in !!! They run out very fast !

We order goat biryani 2 weeks back and it was very good. Yesterday we want to order goat biryani and they said they are sold out so we order chicken and egg biryani. chicken was ok but the egg biryani was taste at was just bunch of frozen vegetables with taste less gravy. Very disappointing.

The food here is sooo good! I was in Omaha for the weekend and went here three times. It’s right next store to the Indian grocery. Everyone eating here is Indian which is of course a good sign. If you want white people Indian food probably go elsewhere but if you want authentic Indian food come here! It’s counter service and the inside isn’t much. Hole in the wall kinda feel. The food takes a little while to make which is fine with me. I’m always happy to wait for good food. I tried mango & sweet Lassis, 3 different vegetarian paneer dishes, and my partner had several chicken dishes. Everything was so so good. The staff is really friendly despite language barriers. The dishes are good portions and reasonably priced. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Awesome Indian food. Hands down best in Omaha. Glad it moved to this new location. We are yet to be disappointed with any thing we have ordered here. They have started a new indochinese menu which I look forward to. They also accomodate special requests such as grating the paneer rather than chunks in mutter paneer. All the entres taste different even though they have a creamy tomato base to start with. Reasonably priced and no frills dining experience. Service is slow sometimes but it’s because they are just very busy. Expect to spend $ 30 for two.

Do not go here. They are incredibly racist to any white men. Had a carry out order, came at the time they said it’d be ready. I ordered lamb, the clearly had goat written on the order but told me, no its lamb when I corrected it. Kept asking me to wait 5 more minutes for about 20 min. Each time rudely telling me to sit. I literally stood out the way to wait for my order and several employees kept telling me to take a seat. After I finally got my meal, guess what. It was goat! If you are not Indian stay away, horribly horrible people here.

First Indian place in Omaha that I’ve found to be a good value for the price. I had the chicken saag, only thing that I would say could be improved is that I thought the saag was too pureed… Will definitely be back.

There are still 3 Indian restaurants I’ve yet to try in Omaha, sadly I never will. I’ve found the best. I’ve been here 6 times, each time getting something different, and everything has been fantastic. The saag is even better than my beloved Korma Sutra in KC. Reminds me of Indian places in Philly, nothing fancy, just deliciousness at a fair price. Seems like every Indian restaurant in the Midwest tries to go white tablecloth even when the food isn’t up to snuff. This is fine dining cuisine with drive thru prices and atmosphere to match. Call in and get it to go.

We had Samosas, chicken vindaloo, lamb curry, and naan. All were excellent, but I especially enjoyed the vindaloo. Perfect mix of spice and flavor. The lamb curry was quite rich and creamy which was a good contrast with the vindaloo. Naan came with four slices and was enough for a couple people. Curry portions are quite large and served in a to go cup so it’s possible to get a couple meals out of your order. We were offered additional rice but didn’t need it. Only caveat I would offer is they have no kid specific menu and the items that are spicier are not marked as such so you may want to ask about the spice level of ordering for kids or those with low spice tolerance.

Best authentic indian biryani in town. I have to been to many indian restuarants in chicago. definetly this restuarant will be in top 5. Dont consider to dine in. this place is mainly meant for to go. All the dishes will be prepared fresh and they will take 20 to 30. mins for save time, Call before and order the food. My fav dishes Veg : — veg biryani, malai kofta, gobi manchurian. Non veg : — hyd goat biryani, chicken 65, apollo fish.

Food was great, way better than Mother India and I love that place! According to all of our friends who are from India at school, this is the most authentic and delicious Indian food you can get in Omaha. The spices are amazing and the perfect spiciness. Hot without burning your mouth off. Definitely give this place a shot. It’s more of a take out/delivery kind of restaurant, the plates are styrofoam and the silverware is plastic if you eat in, but it’s about the food here. And it’s great.

I have been waiting to review these guys for a long time. I came here months ago and still have a bad taste for them. We were passing through Omaha on a road trip and looked up restaurants on the GPS and this seemed close and vegan friendly. Upon arrival I was stoked. Here in this little strip mall looking building is Kurry Xpress. I overlooked the curry with a K and focused on the Xpress. We were in a bit of a hurry and ran in. Good, nobody was there but the guy at the counter and what looked like the cook. I placed my order for Channa Masala(my baseline for Indian food) and an order on Navratan Korma. Xpress leads me to believe that it is fast so I figured about a 6 minute wait for our food. The cook took the order and went back into the kitchen. After the first 15 minutes of watching Indian MTV or whatever was on they TV I started getting anxious for my food. Another 10 minutes of video with Michael Bay looking effects and guys in white suits and car races we got our food. The flavor was missing. Boring and flat. I won’t return or recommend this place to anyone unless you don’t like them and want them to suffer for nearly a half hour for mediocre food. TL;DR: Not Xpress, better food anywhere else

I ate at their original location at 109th& Q before they moved to 141st& Arbor. I decided to be lame and order the Chicken Tikka Masala(Indian foot elitists around the world are now rolling their eyes). I also ordered some samosas and naan to go with it. The samosas were just okay. A little bland for me. Naan was very good. Not the best naan I’ve had in Indian restaurants, but good nonetheless. Chicken Tikka Masala was good. A bit more forward on the tomato flavor. It’s certain different than the others I’ve had. It was good and served with rice. Good portion for the money too. Overall, good Indian food. Is it the best Indian food in the Omaha area? Probably not. However, it is still good and worth checking out if you live or work in the area. Don’t let the«Xpress» in the restaurant’s name fool you. This is some of the slowest«xpress» food I have ever ordered. Took me about 20 minutes to get my entrée. So, definitely call ahead with your takeout order and hopefully it will be ready when you arrive. They had Bollywood musicals playing on the TV while I was there. Rather amusing. Restaurant is a bit of a dive and not especially comfortable to dine in. Overwhelming majority of customers get their food to go. So, use it as a take out place and avoid dining in. No cleanliness issues to note or worry about.

My favorite Indian restaurant! Everything has been deliciously spicey. Each dish has is own distinct yummy flavor. It’s how I imagine an Indian home cooked meal prepared by family would taste, with a burst of flavorful yumminess with each bite.

DELICIOUS! Food is fresh. Nice sized portions. Excellent price. Friendly staff! Everything I have tried from here is great. You always have a standard… and for other area Indian resturants– I use this restaurant as my standard– for example speaking about another resturant«this place is good but not as good as Kurry Xpress»… Top two fav Indian Restaurants…(the other is Japiur… ssshhh… don’t tell my friends at KX) Perhaps, they could invest more on their decorations etc. The outside would scare a non-risk taker from trying the restaurant but… the old cliché applies– you can’t judge a book by it’s …
