Pickleman’s Gourmet Cafe

Wow, what an awful place. I had a turkey bacon club and they put one, yes I said 1, entire piece of bacon on it that was as limp as wilted lettuce. The sandwich was small, over priced and very little turkey on it as well. I have NEVER been to a sandwich place where they put 1 piece of bacon on their sandwich. This is MUCH over rated place and I will not be back. Oh, and their was so much mayo on the bread it literally dripped out. Disgusting.

The smell from the building next door brought me in, and the taste was better than the smell. Great sandwiches, fast. Good priced. Friendly staff. Had the pizza guy and turkey bacon added avocado and they were both spectacular

Tried a few of the subs and the pizza both were pretty good. There are a few places i prefer in comparison i also wish the sandwiches were bigger especially since you pay as if you are getting a footlong at a place like quiznos or such i wish the portion matched.

I love this sandwich shop! The selection of creative sandwiches is so varied, I find it doubtful anyone could tire of eating here. The additional menu items and soups add to the selection. It’s impossible to chose a favorite sandwich, but their broccoli cheddar soup is fantastic
As if it could get any better — they deliver!
I’m currently waiting for an order. Watching the count down timer I set is torture!

Great Italian club and excellent broccoli cheese soup. I specifically asked for no oil or vinegar on my sub but it still came made with it on it. No big deal. The food was still great!

Similar to Quizono’s and my hometown favorite Potbelly’s. The concept is not new and there is a better one in Shreveport with a similar menu, but a much larger variety of soups.
I had the giardinera chicken pizza; which was a huge portion and was pretty good.
It took a while to make the pizza, but worth the wait.
My negative is that the place SMELLS like burnt toast. They have the oven going, door open; yet the place still smells awful. I walked our reeking of smoke, almost as bad as walking out of the local smoke filled casinos.
I would come back and do a carryout, but eating inside is impossible.

Was it town for a match against Creighton. The team needed a snack and I called ahead for a tray of some of their popular sandwiches to pick it up right away. They did not disappoint. It took about 15 mins and I was out the door. Lots of great sandwiches to satisfy the hungers of college athletes.

In Omaha visiting and wanted a sandwich so I came here. I’m glad I did. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken sandwich and it was excellent!

Think Jimmy Johns with better, cooler music and you have this place. Good service, clean corner location with good but not spectacular sandwiches.

Very delicious! We ordered delivery. They were crazy fast! The quality is amazing! Super nice lady over the phone. It’s also inexpensive and the cookies are so BOMBBBBBBBB

Get there before noon because the line will be out the door! Also, sometimes, the line will get backed up at the cash register, which causes the cashiering station to get a little confused with who’s food is who’s.
Great food.

I think they forget that people visiting might eat there too. The guy was rude. Didn’t even ask if I want mayo. Etc.

I absolutely love Pickleman’s! I think I have sold a few people on Pickleman’s as well. It’s all about the bread. My boyfriend visited a few times, and we got pickleman’s at least once every time. He described the last bite of the sub… most places you have that crusty, dry piece that just isn’t that flavorful. At Pickleman’s, EVERY bite is perfect to include that last bite. I have tried their avo-​cobb salad, pizza, and subs. I am sold on a turkey bacon, standard with banana peppers and avocado. The hodge podge standard with olives, oil and vinegar is also very good. I lived in the barker building which is in the same building as the restaurant, so it was dangerously convenient! Additionally, the service at this particular pickleman’s is absolutely FANTASTIC! They were always so friendly and helpful. They always took the time to give me the perfect sandwich… and they have military discount! They would make it a point to remember to give that to me as well :)

The food was fine, we ordered pizzas.
My problem is when I called this place, they seemed to have no idea what was going on. I was trying to order pizza for 9 people and they tried to sell me 9 pizzas. The guy taking my order couldn’t seem to grasp this concept, and it seemed like he either couldn’t hear me or wasn’t listening.
We were at a hotel that is literally down the street from this place, and they had no idea where it was. The delivery person ended up getting lost because they sent her to Woodmen tower instead of the hotel.
Also, we were trying to make sure there was no shellfish on the menu because a friend of mine is allergic, and the person taking my order couldn’t understand the nature of that question. I asked «Do you have shellfish on the menu» and the guy said «No sorry man, you’ll have to get that somewhere else.» My response, «no, I don’t want any shellfish, I was just making sure you don’t have any on the menu, my friend is allergic.» Other guy, «Yeah sorry you’ll have to get shellfish someplace else.»
Seriously.

The asiago chicken pizza is the best. Its a very busy place during the day during lunch but normally moves pretty quick.
High quality food.

I love Picklemans! They deliver to your door, they have the best salads, and an awesome thin crust pizza. My husband and I often order delivery because it’s really fast and still hot by the time it gets to your door. They only deliver locally… meaning close to their shop which is a bummer for me when I’m at work! But lucky for me when I’m at home! Honestly the Italian chop and a thin crust pizza with pepperoni and olives are my favorites. I have also had the meatball sandwich which is good but I feel like something might be missing. Oregano maybe? Even still I wish that I could order the Italian chop daily! Prices are high when you order delivery because there is a delivery fee and then the tip… still worth it. Now that I am writing this review I think I might order from them now! Yum!

Ordered for delivery to my hotel. It was delivered within 30 minutes. Salad was large and really good. Also had Tomato/​Basil soup. Again, really good. Pickleman’s has my vote.

This was a nice place to order a working lunch at a customer site. They have online ordering which saved our team a ton of time and didn’t mess up any of our orders (can’t say that for Jason’s Deli or a few other Denver establisments!). I had an Asiago Caesar chicken sandwich which I loved! And their bread is super chewy, another plus.

Wandered by and in. Fresh ingredients and good soups. I went with the turkey club and avocado. It was good. I had the tomato bisque to help it along. The soup was delicious. If it is busy you might be rubbing elbows with other patrons as they stack in to get their order. Some are more aware of the presence of others and some, not so much but that isn’t on the restaurant aside from sort of making it a one way in/​out concept. The staff was friendly, although I was a little put off that although only one other patron was in line when I walked in everyone seemed as occupied as they would be during a lunch rush, even if they weren’t handling food. Ok, I was pretty miffed that out of 5 employees someone could pause for a split second to acknowledge me even if they weren’t planning on taking my order. It was a little awkward. They recovered though.
Overall, the food was good for the price. It is certainly an interesting location to people watch.

Wow — what a total disappointment. I ordered a italian club, a grilled cheese with bacon and a turkey & bacon with avocado. The italian club was mine and it was decent but certainly nothing to get excited about. Little did I know it would be the shining star of the three sandwiches.
The grilled cheese was pathetic — hardly any cheese and the saddest bacon I have ever seen. The turkey and bacon had the same sad bacon and ONE piece of really odd tasting turkey lunchmeat on it. My gf ate less than half of it and threw the rest in the trash.
21.00 for three lousy sad sandwiches. I don’t think so. Never again.
