Starsky’s Bar & Grill

I was in Omaha for work and met some colleagues at Starsky’s for some beers and bar food. Starsky’s is your basic neighborhood dive bar. When I want to go out for a drink, this is exactly the kind of place I want to hang out at. The bartender was friendly and attentive and the locals there were nice as well. The food was killer! I had the pig wings with corn nuggets. The pig wings were tender, lean, and very tasty. The corn nuggets were also very good. I have been dreaming of pig wings ever since and can not wait to go back.

I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in, since it’s pretty dive-​y, but the staff was quick and nice… the food was quick and good… and the locals and patrons were awesome.

I came in after my GF said it was on «Man vs Food», plus my hotel was about a 15 min drive to the bar. It also had a lot of good reviews on Unilocal.There wasnt much people when I came in, but when i was waiting for my food it got a decent small crowd. I heard that the pig wings were good so I decided to try it. Someone else wanted to do the challenge, but I only wanted six wings. I guess this place isnt able to handle two orders. I waited an hour for my meal. The pig wings and corn nuggets did look appetizing. Taste-​wise? I was disappointed, maybe others will like it. After my fifth wing, I lost my appetite and feared vomitting. The wings arent bad, but it had a distinct pork taste under all the different sauces, which made me nauseous. Maybe sauces belong on chicken wings and not pork? Is it unique? Yes. Tasty? Maybe not for some people. Corn nuggets however were tasty. My recommendation, come here and get a few wings to try first instead of doing the challenge.

As I am not originally from the Midwest this dive like establishment provided my first introduction to a Porkloin sandwich and I felt like Aladdin when he discovered the «Cave of Wonders» — what a treasure for my mouth. It’s absolutely huge and and delicious and a sure pick for my top tfive sandwiches in my not-​so-​young life. I’m also a big fan of fried chicken gizzards and the chef that Saturday cooked me up a mess of tastiness. It was seasoned well with just a slight crunchiness to it. The corn nuggets are a great treat. i brought some home and let my neighbor try some and she stole the entire take-​away box from me. The bar itself has a rough and tumble feel and look to it, which complements the great food and cheap beer.

Good bar atmosphere. Too bad CWS won’t be in the neighborhood next year.

Had some friends in from Australia. After a long, hot day at the zoo, we were in need of a little nourishment and beverage before heading off to our next venue.
Love this little place. Small, local bar. Great prices. Decent bar food. Took my friends from Australia who were thrilled to be able to hang at a «real bar» with «real locals», eat some fried up bar food (apparently, not as popular down under) and sip on some Miller Lite’s.
Everything we ordered was pretty tasty (okay…so we were slightly weak from hunger). My only recommendation is to skip the teriyaki chicken wings.

Wow. I am still the only one brave enough to go here I guess.
Anyway, Starsky’s has a kitchen now and they serve up burgers and the like. Had a burger and it was tasty. Just, ya know, an update on the food front, I guess. :)
