Like the other reviewers, I would probably eat just about anything on a King’s Hawaiian roll, but these sandwiches are definitely a favorite. First, the food: it’s pretty darn good. And simple! I would imagine this place to be very family-friendly, and the sandwiches are bite-sized for the little ones and are savory without a lot of odd ingredients. My wife and I differ on which sandwiches we prefer, but they’re all good(yes, we’ve tried them all). I can definitely tell that this restaurant is relatively new. It doesn’t have that ‘lived-in’ feel at all, with more of a doctor’s office vibe than a sandwich shop. Also, the lot parking can be kind of a nightmare, especially if there’s a decent crowd in the restaurant itself. Those two minor quibbles aren’t nearly enough to keep us from coming back though, especially for a take-and-bake dozen, which could easily feed 4 mouths on the way home from whatever. We’ll be back!

First time eating here. It was really good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again. Just need to get more than two sandies because I was still hungry for more!

Just about any sandwich can be made better by putting it on a King’s Hawaiian roll. But these little beauties would probably stand on their own just fine. What’s not to like about quality meats and cheeses with a tasty buttery sauce? The real question is… How many can I eat?!(For the record, this visit it was four).

After being tempted by Facebook advertising, I thought I’d check this place out. The«sandie’s» were DELICOUS! What is a sandie, you might ask? That’s a great question, and I’m still not sure I know. A good idea might be to better explain the concept both on their site, and in their store. Essentially, it’s a mini-size sandwich, on what tastes similar to a King’s Hawaiian roll, ham cheese, and a delicious balsamic-glaze like drizzle that saturates a bit of the bun and makes it way thru the meat and cheese. The sandwiches are served warm in a cute little tray. Here’s my concern though– it’s in a very obscure place in a strip mall, tucked in near Fernandos on 114th and Dodge– does anyone even know it’s there? When I walked in, one man jumped up from where he was plopped down playing with his phone, and another– sitting at a cash register, was kind enough to put his phone away. Neither said a word until I got to the counter– how about a little enthusiasm, as this place was EMPTY and they probably need their new concept to catch on, «welcome to the Ham Sandie” — «have you had our terrific sandwiches before? » «You’re going to love them!». These two guys had about as much energy as two bumps on a log– if I were the owner, I’d be mad I was paying them to «work». Now, don’t get me wrong, they weren’t rude at all– but they had ZERO personality. Without a little enthusiasm, this place won’t be around for long. Stop in and check it out! The facility was immaculately clean, and like they put an interesting new twist on a sandwich! Lastly, three sandies is about the equivalent of a 6-inch sub for reference.
