On-Ur-Wa RV Park

I normally review these things on a different web site, but this one deserves a mention here on Unilocal.The name says it all. On Ur Wa… Good place to spend a night On Ur Wa to where ever you are going. I spent two nights here because I was desperate and really needed some down time. Wouldn’t recommend two nights here unless you were like me, just needed the down time.
There were some high end and middle RV’s here. Only saw one «older» RV. Sites are gravel, and pretty long. Spacing between RV’s is adequate. Good trees for shade. Check in was good, they accept Good Sam. Wi-​Fi worked great, but park was only ¹⁄₃ full when I was here.
Restrooms are unisex and pretty clean. Laundry Room was clean except deep sink looked kind of yucky. Laundry is $ 1.75 to wash, $ 1.75 to dry. Kind of «medium» price-​wise.
Park is within walking distance of a Mexican restaurant and several other fast food restaurants.
No cable, but will pick up duplicate copies of all major network stations over the air (including PBS). (duplicate as in, some Nebraska, some Iowa, take your pick which state you want to hear news from). Since I spent two days here, I had a great time deciding which PBS was better between Iowa and Nebraska.
The Good Sam price is reasonable for what you get.
The previous review was correct about easy on, easy off freeway.
Update: The road sign says that the park is open March — October, but the website indicates open to December 1. I asked the manager and she said this year it would be more like mid November when they close. She said they can’t change the road sign, costs too much money.
Also, I had a sudden need to order something to replace a thing I had that went POOF and the manager said I could have it shipped here. I extended one more day for this. I bumped my review up from 3 stars to four stars for this.
Although this park is «just a good stopover» and nothing more, they have everything you need, they even sell propane here.

This is a wonderful stopover campground while traveling on I-​29 in Iowa. Easy on and off the interstate. Sites are level pull throughs with great onsite owners. Good prices and free wifi. Will definitely come here again.
