Love coming here… place is cute! Every Time I’m In Town I Come Here To eat… The Staff Are All Extremely Pleasant And Very Friendly. I usually get the Buffalo Chicken sandwich which is soooo good! I also sometimes get the western burger and steak which is also very good. Sodas are not free refills fyi, they will usually let you know that so just a heads up so your not surprised. Potato skins… ehhh…Nothing that would make me order again but I definitely will return next time I’m around. mmm I want that sandwich right now but I’m home in queens lol

Very good steaks, pork chops and amazing seafood. The atmosphere is beautiful and rustic. The salad bar is a nice accompaniment and the servers are great. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a lovely casual atmosphere and great dining.

We saw the reviews and desided to give it a try. The place was fabulous. Great salad bar super friendly servers. My wife and I both ordered from the daily specials. I had chicken breast with lobster hollandaise my wife prime rib with shrimp. The portion was above average and it really tasted great. They are also open to 10pm and that’s a plus for us. Can’t wait to try it again.

This restaurant is decorated just like a woodsy log cabin. There are many many deer heads spread about the place as well as other cabin décor. In general it smelled clean other thank the bar, which smelled like smoke. Some spots were dusty and some of the areas of the booths were a bit stained up. My meal came out surprisingly good. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich and their home made fries. The sand which was very filling, very juicy, and flavorful. The fries were also great. Not over or under salted. Not soggy but not burnt; just right. Over all it was enjoyable. My friend got the prime rib, which unfortunately was extremely dried out. Not only was half of it just fat, the rest was terribly dry, tasteless, and impossible to eat. When brought up to the waitress she came up with nothing to help but«you should have told me earlier.» She still had to pay the full price and was very disappointed. My other friend got the seafood pasta. She said it was absolutely fantastic! One thing that bothered me was the fact that you could hear the waitresses talking smack about a customer behind the booth we were seated in. It was very unprofessional. All in all it was a descent place to eat, some things were good others were bad. It’s the luck of the draw.

Christopher’s has been consistent for years. Maybe a little too consistent! I think the rough cut flooring and the bar stools are original. The flooring is uneven and broken and the bigger bar stools are rickety. We went for a late lunch Saturday. We wanted to sit at a table in the bar. Too bad the 2 empty booths hadn’t been bussed and weren’t bussed the entire time we were there. We sat at the bar which hadn’t been wiped down. While we were there the manager came out from the dinning room to talk with patrons, but I guess she didn’t notice the dirty tables that still had the dirty dishes and left over food. The bar tender was nice. The beer was nice and cold. The food was ok. I ordered the Ahi tuna sandwich with fries. It was pretty much tasteless. I couldn’t taste any wasabi. He had the buffalo chicken sandwich. Also, just ok.

Stayed her with my son and husband for. Wrestling tournament in town. Place was nice and clean. For the price it’s a great deal. Perfect for families visiting colleges. My only negative thing I can say would be while trying to get a quick nap in after a long day of traveling the housekeepers were extremly loud. They must of had a 20 minute conversation. Right out side my door about taking a cigarette break. Then while vacuuming the other room they continued to yell at each other over the vacuum noise. It was pretty obnoxious. Other than that would come back. Restaurant was cute food ok. Get the shrimp with hot sauce really really good!

My wife and I ate here cor the first time tonight. We called and were told there was no need for a reservation… needess to say we had to wait 20 mins to sit down. I ordered a shell steak and my wife ordered a filet mignon. 45 minutes later, after being ignored by our waitress, our food arrived. I can only say that my wifes filet looked like a piece of scap meat that was leftover in the kitchen. Her steak was over cooked and cold… as was my steak… We asked and spoke to a manager who replaced the filet with a chesse burger… great burger but way too little wayyyyyy too late… We won’t be going back… BEWARNED… STAYAWAY

Okay to begin and be fair, Saturdays are busy. We were seated(no reservation) within 5 minutes(2adults one child) once we were seated we patiently waited for more than 20 minutes to ask if we had a server in the area we were in .Then they quickly assigned us a waitress. Several servers AND the manager walked by before we were acknowledged in asking for assistance. I’m not picky and I give credit where credit is due after serving 13 years now myself. However the applesauce with the pork shocked the tip of your tongue like a 9 volt battery, salmon was delicious and mashed garlic good bit 21 bucks was a bit much for the amount of food you are given and the table directly behind us who were seated 10 minutes after us… Finished they’re food before we received ours. We were never asked for refills on our drinks we were asked how the food was or if we wanted anything else we the server for 30 seconds total the entire time we were there. I’ve been before and liked the food just get a better crew

These are one of the places that are unforgettable only because of the décor. In this case, dusty animal heads mounted on the wall. I really just cannot stand to look at horns and animals looking at me while I am trying to eat, but I put all that aside, remembered that it’s about the food. Still, don’t bring a vegan, vegetarian, or person who loves animals here. That aside, the food was okay. It’s not great, it’s passable. It’s fair, but when you dine out, at least if you’re a foodie and not going to a chain, you want a great meal. This restaurant is part of a hotel and maybe that is why, but I’ve been to a lot of steakhouses. I ordered the steak here and it was not a stand out. It was not seasoned well. The salad bar isn’t bad, but again, it’s just okay. If you’re a hunter, you’ll love the ambiance. The service was fine although I had to make my own change at the bar for a tip, which was odd. My fiancé used to really love it, but said it doesn’t seem the same so maybe things are just in a bit of a slump.

Going downhill, unfortunately. Been to Christopher’s many times. This last time seemed to be my last. Love the décor, twig everywhere, bar decorated cool, service is par. Sat down at a sticky poorly washed tabletop. Salad bar is adequate, steak ordered medium, came to table well done. Not the first time, but the last time. My wife had a flavorless chicken cutlet. You go to a restaurant for a quality meal, nice ambiance, and good service. The kitchen either needs more help, or has to pay better attention to the details that keep people returning.

I don’t like giving bad reviews but if you are looking for a comfortable bed, don’t stay here. Also, you cannot find a good glass of wine in the restaurant although the barmaids are quite friendly. If you stay here in the winter beware that Hannaford’s across the street plows their parking lot in the middle of the night and you can’t sleep over the noise. The walls are thin so if you have someone talking on their cell phone in the next room you will hear that. Lastly, if you don’t like seeing stuffed deer and bear do not stay here or go to the bar/restaurant.

I know, I know it’s a «steakhouse» with bear heads mounted on the wall but really nothing vegetarian friendly unless you like salads drenched in mayonnaise based dressings. I love kitsch. But there was a fine, greasy film all over everything… place just needs a good scrub down. Really sub par quality across the board, but excellent service from the wait staff.

The owner or manager(woman in her 60’s) informed as as soon as we entered that we will have to pay with one check or sit separately! We were 2 families, 8 guests total! She put us in the big room in the back not only with deer heads looking at us but it was extremely hot. It was just our party until little later another larger party showed up. The rest of the restaurant was much cooler. When I asked her if she can do anything she just snapped without even breaking her stride that the AC is on and it is just hot. Not true since everywhere else in the restaurant was cool. We should have just left as obviously she was not interested in our business. Terrible, considering there are many other options in this little town and of course we will tell all our friends(baseball team and their families) and all others we know that will be coming in the future to stay away! Food portions were large and our server was very sweet. She should get 5 stars. The wait was very long, we spent 2 hrs 15 minutes in this hot steam room and waited at least an hour between ordering and finally getting the food.

Wow. Be wary, weary traveler. Place was recommended by The Marriot. We weren’t scared off by the décor, but perhaps we should have been. Door handle was a fake moose antler. All sorts of stuffed game adorn the walls, even a seemingly retarded fake moose(in front of the only TV showing Sox/Yankees). None of this stuff has ever been dusted. Service was decent, though the apps were slow. Turns out they had botched the first attempt. That’s terrifying, because what came out was abysmal. Everything was heaped together into a pile of mush. Anything that had been deep fried was obviously cooked in the same vat as the fish n chips(made me glad I didn’t order that). Wife’s steak was dryer than Cloris Leechman. Veggies were obviously frozen. Oh! And she watched them stock the salad bar w/unwashed grape tomatoes. My burger was, well, terrible. I didn’t even finish it(which should tell you everything). How do you screw up bacon? To sum up, dirty, decent service, awful food.

This was one of my go-to spots when I attended Hartwick. I also set my family up with rooms here when they visited for graduation so I can recommend it as both a restaurant and a lodge. I’ve had a lot of things from the menu and enjoyed all of them. There are a lot of options to make everyone happy. The only issue I’ve had here is a seldom overcooked steak, but they’ve been good about replacing it. Normally, I don’t do salad bars, but this one is both delicious and well-maintained. And the bread rocks, especially the raisin bread. Service has been spotty at times, but I go here for the food and the vibes. As for the ambience, you feel like you’re in a log cabin both in the restaurant and in the lodge, which is just awesome and well-deserving of 5 stars.

It’s ambience was really quaint. I did not like my meal(crab cakes) because it tasted like the scent of cat food. A friend of mine had nachos and those were really good. Their unlimited salad bar was good too. It was worth it

Their salad bar is satisfying, would go again just for that. The Blackened steak I ordered was cooked the way I asked and tasted ok. It’s not fair for me to critique steak, I’m usually only satisfied with a filet mignon. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted like garlic paste and grits. I don’t recommend choosing those as a side. The crab cakes were fishy(that’s a terrible sign) and bland. They are featured as an appetizer and an entrée. Probably not a good idea because that gives the customer greater odds of ordering them. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out its imitation crab meat. The lighting was terrible in a booth in the bar section. I had my iPhone flashlight on to see my food. Not an exaggeration either. It was so dark I couldn’t tell how my meat was cooked. I would compare Christopher’s to an Outback Steakhouse, which unfortunately is not a compliment. It’s just subpar food in a great location. I have had their bar food and it was great. Just don’t go there for anything beyond fried food and burgers.

Not many options for vegetarians, except the salad bar which was a bit pricey for what it offered. Décor was neat.

I have came here with the intentions of satisfying my steak cravings. I had ordered the sirloin which I didn’t find to be spectacular. The main issue was that it was more cooked than I had anticipated it to be. We also got the nachos which were average as well, they do have a nice little salad bar which I enjoyed.
