This internet provider is garbage. Rednecks cut my phone line on accident and did not take the initiative to fix it. Ive called their customer service at century link serveral times and nothing has happened. Theyve dropped my phone calls and dropped my chats. Why is this company so hard to reach? Even when the internet does work, it goes out often. It is sad that in the Galena, ohio, area, they have a monopoly on thr phone and internet business. So all must go to them and eat their poor service out of their oraphis becaus there is no one else to go to. There is not easily accesable location. Their phone operaters seem to have a below average iq. Anyways, i am sitting at a local bob evans where i can get a signal.

Internet was still not working when we returned from our vacation, just under a month. Plus a new router that cost me $ 106 was exchanged at the store for a used one. Mine was two weeks old. Eventually I had to contact corporate and it took a long time to be credited for the difference in cost between a used and new router as well as the service disruption. Luckily I kept a diary of all the communication and paid with a credit card. It took an incredibly long time for the company to research my situation and frankly I am not sure that they confirmed what I told them or they got sick of my tenacity and the threat to put the bill in dispute. May I suggest that if you are a captive customer of Century Link that you pay by credit card and keep records of all outages and contacts. When it works, despite the fact that it streams closer to 3 than 6, I am reasonably happy with the product. However if you have to speak with anyone other than the service technician, good luck.
