The Dance Shop

Both of my daughters started about 2 months ago. They love it they look forward to their class every week. Ms. Sally the owner is amazing such a beautiful person. So welcoming from the second we walked in. Ms Gabby their instructor is awesome so patient and great at what she does. We love it here and are here to stay!

I only gave them a 2 because my daughter likes it. This place is so unorganized. As a child, sure it’s fun. As a parent, this place makes my blood boil everytime I walk in. It’s crowed in the studio, if you need any help at the counter it takes at least 30 min. They’re very slow or occupied chit chatting while they’re suppose to be helping the customer. One time I waited forever just for her while she extended her arm out from across the counter while she talked and chit chatted with someone else. obviously she meant to give it to me but I had to wait until she was done «talking». Picture day was a nightmare. the studio was packed like a sardine can and they were 2 hours behind. My daughters time was 6:10pm and I got home close to 9pm. There were still a bunch of people stuck there when I left. I also think they’re way over priced. .recital tickets are 15.00 presale and 20.00 at the door, photos we’re sky high. and all the extra add on add up ontop of the monthly price. What really made me upset was when I missed 1 and only payment due to a miscommunication .my kid has been there about a year and they STILL charged me late fees. Last but not least, the recitals last damn near half the day. about 4 hours and the audience is held captive there with no food or drink! And I think the worst part of all is the timing of their scheduling! They made rehearsal and the recital on FATHERS DAY WEEKEND. To me it’s so inconsiderate.. They could have made it the weekend before or after .So, forget being able to spend the weekend «freely» with the family since the whole weekend revolves around the shop. Like I said. my daughter has fun… but I am SO happy this will be her last year! She’s moving on to something that’ll keep BOTH of us happy!

TDS is a great dance studio that makes even the newest dancer feel at home. They are great with the kids and always offer one free class to try out to see if your child will enjoy it. They have their own inventory at a low cost which helps when trying to find the right accessories for your child. The instructors are great and our family will continue to go there.

The dance instructor Gabby is absolutely a delight! She is wonderful with the kids & has a lot of patience w/​them.
Prices for classes are reasonable. They also let you try a class for free.
The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is due to the front office gal that’s there. She’s not attentive, doesn’t greet you with a smile upon arrival, & doesn’t have a sense of urgency when there is a long line of parents. My son also got yelled at once for playing with his toy car. Ever since then I just wait in the car for my daughters class to be over.

Registered my 3yr old for a «Gymnastics» class. The instructor didn’t even Greet the children on the first day of class. She gave them No instruction at all. She Just «assumed» they knew what to do. So as soon as my child jumped on a mat she asked her to stop & sit down. This was the «1^st impression» my child had of her. Instructor seemed extremely tired and «Uninterested» in the children. However she did show Much «favoritism» to the kids she knew well. Giving them Big Warm hugs & making the rest of the new kids feel neglected. My child reached for a hug too & she just smiled. Instructor takes breaks every 15min & lets them out 15min Early! Worst experience ever. Waist of time and Money.
The studio itself is terribly small. Only 3 Rooms. Parents are crowding around windows to get a glimpse of their child in class or looking for a seat. It’s safe to say I will not be «gifting» my hard earned money to this place ever again. Big Disappointment.

The teachers are amazing my daughter came in as a shy 2 yr old now is 5 and thriving in the hip hop and ballet tap class. The staff really makes you feel apart of the family they truly love there kids and show it…

I have nothing but good things to say about TDS. The teachers are professionals and they treat their students as such. My daughter has been dancing for TDS for over a year and, as a former dancer myself, I couldn’t be happier. Thank you, TDS, for helping my daughter shine and build her self confidence!!!
