Below is my original review, as a plus they have now gone out of business, reinforcing how I felt previously… The owner, Chip Mccann, has the worst customer service skills I’ve ever seen. The food is downright horrible but don’t even think about complaining because Chip could give a damn about you or your complaint. His attitude is, like it or leave. Avoid this place like the plague!

The food was ok but the waitress was horrible. She went to get my husband more tea and spent at least 3 minutes texting over at the drink area. We could see her. She also spent the majority of our time there talking to one guy at a table nearby while neglecting us. I had a prime rib sandwich that wasn’t horrible but the meat was a little dry. My husband had ribs and was not over the moon about them but it wasn’t horrible.

Not worth the money. Dinners are relatively expensive and BBQ is not overly impressive. Save yourself the time and money — service is slow and pork BBQ is not what you expect — served as slabs of pork similar to brisket in TX.

I grew up eating Woody’s Bar B Q and even work there when I was in highschool. Since I have moved away from home it has become that place I must go to eat at when I come home for a visit. This last visit I brought my nine year old daughter with me and had the pleasure of having Shirley be our waitress. It was so great to see her and see the changes that have been made to the restaurant. I order the beef sandwich on texas toast with corn nuggets and it still taste the same as it did 20 years ago. It brought back so many memories of eating there with my dad as a little girl.

I ordered smoked ribs with cole slaw and beans with a slice of Texas toast. My husband ordered a sampler. His food he said was just ok. My Coleslaw, beans and toast were very good. Ribs were the worst ribs I have ever had. They said they were ribs but they were extremely fatty with hardly any bones. My husband had ribs on his sampler and they were normal ribs. I had to send them back. They substituted the ribs for brisket. The brisket was dry and flavorless. Server was very nice. Went to rest room to wash my hands before we ate and there was no soap. I asked for soap and I gave up waiting. That should have been a sign not to eat here. It took a good 20 to 30 minutes to bring our food and the place was quite empty. We will not be back ever!

The seating was cramped. The waitress was nice. The food was pretty delicious. Garlic bread, chicken, and crispy fries which were all good. The baked beans were amazing! The pork however was a little on the dry side, but my wife enjoyed it. She also said the turkey was good. Check it out!

One of the worst experiences I’ve had in dining. But not the worst. ATMOSPHERE: Smelly, dreary, dark green walls. Ugly, tiny TV’s at each table. Giant DirectTV remotes for each table. Each remote can change the channel of about 7 or 8 other TV’s for other tables in the restaurant. Makes for fun cross-family pranks while you wait for your food. FOOD: Canned string beans. They were bland and tasteless. Probably microwaved. The height of laziness when a chef can’t be bothered to cook fresh string beans. Frozen bagged french fries. I ordered the baby back ribs. They came fast and cold. Like they were refrigerated and reheated, yet they didn’t actually taste bad. Weird. Could have been I was in a mental tizzy by the horrific atmosphere. Anyway the manager sent out new ones and they came out piping hot and took a little longer, like they had an extra minute in the microwave. Cool. DESSERT: I was given a complimentary pie for the cold entrée. It would have been nice except the pie crust was raw. SERVICE: I give this a 4.5 out of 5, and this was the only saving grace to the restaurant was the kind staff. But that only gets you so far. CONCLUSION: They need to get off their a**es and do some good old fashioned cooking if they want to fill those seats and stop trying to distract people with TV’s and ugly refrigerators in the dining room. A TV at the bar for atmosphere, sure, but come on every table? The whole place is a noise box.

Tried once again to see if Woody’s would impress, they did not. The wait staff extremely helpful food is mediocre. The worst part was the lack of sides available. Out of applesauce, out of buttered corn. Asked to be compensated for the unavailability but was met with excuses(«this is an old menu, new coming soon») and a lack of empathy or willingness to fix the problem. Will not return.
