I was at the cherry out today and Tuesday. I am disabled and in a wheelchair and neither bartender would serve me or even look at me. I’ve spent over a $ 1000 there and been there over 50 times before I became disabled. I’m pretty sure that’s illegal.

This bar is so divey that it doesn’t even show up on google when you type in «bars near the Honda center.» We were seeing a concert and wanted to drink close by afterwards. A Honda center employee told us about this bar. It was perfect because no one else really knew about it after the concert and you could tell only«regulars» were there. I love dives so I was super stoked. Great drinks and friendly staff.

Angie is super fun and polite, the bar itself is very fun and relaxed and friendly; pool tables and a full bar. I had a great time here and would never hesitate to stop in for a quick drink or to relax here for a couple hours or so. This is a great example of a dive bar and would recommend it to anyone I consider a friend or to anyone looking to unwind after a long day at work. I look forward to coming here again any day or night. Thanks guys! First time here and the first and only time impression has left a permanent mark on my boyfriend, friends, and I. I’m excited to spontaneously stop in again!

I travel a lot for work and this is a typical dive. No food after 7pm which is unusual but drinks are cheap and the bartender in nice efficient and not bad to look at.

Awfull. Waited forever to get a drink. We walked out. … Bartender was more concered with herself. She was so pretty, so pretty, and smart. Great, be smart enough to serve me a drink, because I was once in your position and I tip very well! Never got a drink. Lk and Nikki came back to clean out a shed and take to AZ. We thought we would visit an old stomping ground from 10 years ago. We never got a drink. WTF happend? I know no one knew who we where in the past, so why did we not get a welcome and a drink in a dive bar?

I drive by this white, square petite palace of establishment often. Admittedly, I enjoy getting a red light at Katella and Main — it gives me a few extra minutes to admire the exterior. Worth writing a review about. I’ll let the following three testimonials from my friends speak for Cherry Pit «I really liked their amenities, ping pong, pool, the jukebox.» «I loved the cheerful waitress woman and the place provided fun activities. I loved the ping pong it was so fun.» «The fact that they serve Bud Light.» First timer tip: bring quarters for pong and pool First timer tip too: $ 10 minimum for credit/debit

Reading the reviews as we drove to this Bar made my husband ask me if I really wanted to go there! However we were on our way from supercross and The Cherry Pit was the only bar nearby that was open. As we walked it the friendly barlady Tiana greeted us immediately and told us she would be with us in a second or two — which she was! Bud draft on tap in great glass beer mugs for $ 5 and a friendly environment. Tiana told us that a new modem had been installed the previous day but she still had to get hold of the password for the wifi users. The ladies restroom was clean and my husband was fascinated when he went to the gents room that there was some character drinking and peeing at the same time! As an overview this is a great little neighborhood bar made even better by Tiana who is both friendly efficient and chatty! If I lived in this area I’d drink here on a regular basis!

The definition of a DIVEBAR. The drinks taste TERRIBLE I asked for a white Russian and got a glass of straight vodka with a splash of kahlua and milk, it was still see through, tasted light rubbing alcohol. I’m sure this place would be great for broke college students trying to drink for cheap and get messed up quick but not for anyone who knows what real mix drinks are supposed to taste like. Also I’ve been here a handful of times and there is a big chalkboard food menu on the wall but every time I’ve asked to order anything they tell me the kitchen is closed. I’ve been here during the day, in the afternoon, at night, during the week, on the weekend, it doesn’t matter what time or what day it is, they always say the kitchen is closed.

Was there with some 5 friends. Not a great place to look at. We chose to ignore that when we saw the beer pong table. As the night unfolded the people were really nice as well. Will give it another try to make sure I will recommend!

Great dive bar! 2 pool tables that are free, full bar, basic bar food, digital jukebox, friendly local people. We came in on a Sunday afternoon our bartender was very attentive, nice and made us feel welcome after we told her it was our first time there. I think her name was Angie. All and all we had a good time and will definitely be back.

Came in here on a Monday after.. my friend and I tried to get a drink and a game at danny k’s. They did last call early… so we looked for a bar nearby and cherry pit came up! The bartender Dani(sp) took care of us… She was super friendly. I like trying new drinks… whatever the bartenders like to make or can come up with. She made me something yummy. We played pool for free. And there’s an internet jukebox. We had a great time. Everyone was friendly.

In my quest to know all the hole-y-dives in my hood, went to this place out of pure curiousity… let’s say as a social experiment. People watching perhaps? From outside the place looks pretty rundown, but as a plus it has its own parking lot. Cherry Pit is a tiny bar, totally divey with friendly regulars and kinda smelly very particular«aroma» The bartender(forgot his name) was quite attentive, the setting is pretty standard for a bad What can I say? Cherry Pit a far cry of the bar of my dreams but is convenient for me, it’s crowd is friendly unlike other dives, it has cheap cold beer but not much of a selection, so forget about fancy craft beer. It has free pool tables, bonus! I may visit again since it’s so convenient for me, but it’s not like I’m dying to go back; but in case I want to learn how to play pool or beer pong this is the place =)

I have to give this place 4 stars. It’s called the Cherry Pit, i.e., a dive bar. For a dive bar, it gets 4 stars. My girlfriend and I(way too overdressed for this place) stopped in for a shot around midnight on a Friday night. The place was packed and had about a 20 – 1 ratio of dudes to gals(total sausage party). The usual dive bar crowd was getting drunk and having a good time. If I hadn’t been wearing heels, I might have stayed for more than one drink. This place is a people watcher’s dream! Saving grace: Hot bartender(Nicole) behind the bar who served a mean cactus cooler(yes, I just admitted that in writing).

How can you not be a fan of the Cherry Pit. It’s exactly what it’s supposed to be! If you’re going to a dive bar, then don’t get made when you get there and it’s a dive! Stiff drinks, great jukebox, pool, ping pong, and a terrific staff. They’ve quickly become my favorite dive in the Orange area.

The Bar: We conquered the pit. The Cherry Pit that is. One word: Amazing. We had a blast. Super friendly staff and patrons. We arrived around 8pm… seemed to be a slow night, but once the Angels game ended, this place was packed. Nice little establishment. The Crowd: All types. Young, old, middle, lots and lots of baseball fans. All very friendly. Service: Somewhat fast depending on how busy it is. Prices:Cheap. $ 9 pitchers Entertainment: Beer pong table, pool table(free pool everyday), 3TV’s. Keno, Various video games. Internet Jukebox. Restroom: Cleaner than most dives.

Walking in through the front door, the door man didn’t even bother to check our hero’s ID. The bartender didn’t have a spare pitcher when our hero ordered Widmer, so he went out into the general bar area, picked up an empty pitcher from a table, and washed it quickly. The Widmer tasted vaguely like soap. A group of college students sitting right behind our hero managed to drop their pitcher and spill beer on him… twice. A white guy named William who was easily the oldest person in the bar walked up to our hero and his friend and started speaking to them in Chinese. Our hero couldn’t stand how annoying the bar was in general and left early. PROS: — They have a proper beer pong table here, as in a legitimate ping pong table converted for use by alcoholic college students. CONS: — Wayyyyy too college to be cool. — The bar stools and tables could use a good wipe down and some Lysol. — The beer selection was fairly weak, and Widmer was the best they had on tap. — Music and level of conversation is too loud and you have to shout just to have someone next to you hear what you’re saying.
