I’ve got my scissors sharpened by some else before and I was nearly ready to buy new scissors since they are my wife’s money makers. Thanks to Arnie We got her scissors back to new, she’s happy so that makes me happy! He test them right in front of you and shows you how they cut using different sections of the scissors. I will never take them anywhere else. I know your very busy but worth every single minute, can’t thank you enough and we will see you soon.

Got my knives sharpened for an incredibly reasonable price. Back this week to get my scissors and gardening tools sharpened. Can wait to get home and try sharp pruning shears! LOL Arnie is great!

Arnie is an absolute craftsman. I have had my Wusthof knives sharpened twice before… no one comes close to the level of expertise Arnie has. He also took extra time to educate me on how to use my sharpening steel the correct way. When you invest money into good cutlery, do yourself a favor… bring them to Arnie when they need a professional sharpening. I actually giggled when I used the serrated tomato knife… it’s better than the day I bought it!!! THANKYOU Arnie!

I’m a new groomer and I found Arnie through a simple google search. I have never been more satisfied with any other customer service in my life. He is prompt, punctual, knowledgeable, quick, thorough, and just a damn nice guy. His prices are amazing and with customer service and quality work like his, I can’t imagine using anyone else EVER.

Ok, this sort of thing rarely happens. My wife and I rescue and foster dogs from the shelter. We rehabilitate them in our home then work with a non-profit organization to find them a forever home with a loving family. Each and every dog we have brought in we have fallen in love with and it completely breaks our heart to see them go. But, we justify the emotion each time by having the ability to turn around and go rescue another dog from death row. Anyway, my point is… in many cases I have to shave these dogs down initially so we can clean them up and get them on a regular grooming schedule. I had invested in a nice oster clipper and a couple clipper blades but low and behold these things get dull fast. So, I googled clipper sharpening service and saw a number for a local business(the one for which I am writing a review of course) and a gentleman by the name of Arnie answered. I explained to Arnie what I needed and he asked how many blades I had. Me not being in the grooming business or hairstyle business I was afraid he would not be interested in helping me. But I explained in short what I use the clippers for and he immediately told me he would sharpen them for me at no charge. Seriously? Really? He is going to sharpen for us this weekend, I am sure they will turn out great. But I just had to write a review after I got off the phone with him. I can’t accept a free sharpening so I will pay him regardless but this story had to be told.

Just ask for Arnie. I call him the knife man, my girlfriend thought I said the nice man. Either way, it fits Arnie. He is a master, knows what he is doing and you can trust your precious $ 100 knives to him. You can find him at the Farmers Market on Saturday in Costa Mesa(call him at 714−202−2570 for directions). Better yet, have him come to your house. He has a full mobile set-up(electric wheel, whet stone, the whole megillah). Minimum visit $ 50 which is easy if you have a lot of knives, or you can invite friends to your knife sharpening cocktail party! Prices average $ 5 a knife and range from $ 3 to $ 8. If you don’t drink too much at your cocktail party, buy a lug of tomatoes and go crazy practicing effortless cutting with your«new» knives.
