We usually always interview 3 contractors when doing a project. Terry was our first to come by and the only one. He presented everything exactly the way we wanted. They removed a wall and moved our staircase. It turned our beautiful. Every person they sent over to do the next phase was amazing. All referrals were great. Terry was great and John was such a pleasure to deal with. Could not have made a better choice. Highly recommend Newland Construction.

BBB referred me to the Contractors State License Board in 2013. The CSLB sent out an industrial expert to investigate the workmanship problems. On 7÷24÷14 the CSLB ruled in my favor pertaining to the hardwood flooring, bathroom countertops and kitchen sink issues. We were denied the $ 5000 in overpayment because the CSLB does not deal with money issues (only workmanship issues). Newland Construction was ordered to pay within 30 day which they did.
I was going to move on as I received the award last year. However, I decided to post an update because I felt the company’s response to my original review is not accurate. BBB and the CSLB both advised me to file a claim with small claims court to resolve the money issue, which I intend to do in the near future.

Since our «starter» home became the indefinite nesting home, we desperately needed additional living space. Terry and John presented two different plans: one that extended our living room space and the other that added a master bedroom. We decided to go with the extra living space for cost effective purposes, but we’re glad that we have the other plans (the master bedroom addition) in case we change our minds at a later date. They and their construction crew were very professional and friendly, and they stayed within budget, which we appreciated. Moreover, they did a fantastic job; we received a lot of compliments on how the addition looked seamless, as if it was always part of the original housing structure.

We needed to add an extension and a new roof. Wasn’t looking forward to it, but Terry and John came and sat down with us to give us a reasonable estimate. Their crew came out and completed the work in the time stated. Their crew were very professional and friendly. Couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.

This is the BIGGEST ripoff business. They did our remodel 6 years ago. Everything they put in has broken. The heater, bathroom fans, and the plumbing has slowly broken, and is not under warranty anymore. They use the cheapest parts. They are rude and inconsiderate. Stay away from these jerks.
