My family and I came here for a late lunch on Valentine’s day, now since it was a holiday we expected there to be a long wait. To much surprise there was no wait we were greeted with a friendly smile and seated right away. We ordered and received our drinks within a minute. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. When we were almost done we were offered desert but we’re too full from the generous portions and huge drink sizes. All in all it was a great experience. The food was reasonably priced and atmosphere was authentic. Great family restaurant. Oh and I almost forgot, FREE chips and Salsa that is homemade!

This place is amazing! The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is awesome, and everything is reasonably priced. If you are a frequent flyer like I am, on your receipt is a quick survey code to get a FREE bowl of queso. My favorite waitress there is Christina. She is charming, quick, efficient, and quite frankly why I frequent this location.

Restaurant is so Big, but I feel like 16th century decorations I feel like eating in a 3rd world country. I can understand being classic but they can cleaning and dusting Interior once in a Month. Food part, I eat in so many Mexican restaurant and I always comfortable with the food but not this time, we tried Two appetizer and Two entrées both we feel like there is no authenticity something missing. Service, Food service was fast for the beverage they will take forever, I was ordered a bottle of wine, they took more than 15 minutes to took serving the wine, I was ask 3 times where is the wine??? Finally we Got the wine, & waiters don’t even know how to open and serve the wine, plus wine was not Good, then I said to waiter wine is not Good, she don’t even understand what I Mean, she just give a smile and went away. Then I ordered herradura(tequila) Neat, I didn’t get the drink for another 10 minutes and she comes with Herradura Margarita UP, I don’t want to complaint, then again I ordered same drink said to waiter just tequila Neat with one ice cube, she brought the drink same as before for I don’t want to reject and I don’t like to be one of the the nasty customer and I drink the second one also, again 3 rd time I ordered Just Neat, and I clearly said no sour mix, no triple sec, just Tequila, finally I got the drink the way I want. What I understand people who work here they need proper training.

Iv been here plenty of times over the years and it’s just gone downhill. The food is just extremely salty! Iv eaten real Mexican food and I don’t not know why they insist of adding so much salt. The only item I like from here is the empanadas, they have so much flavor with the cheese sauce they give you. But other than that the waiters are slow and every time we asked for a refill they wouldn’t come back with one. Not worth the high prices for salt.

I come here quite often for Happy Hour with coworkers. Being a teacher, it’s nice to have a Happy Hour that starts early(3 pm) so we can head there right after work to take advantage of the deals. It’s so inexpensive and GOOD! The avocado fries, empanadas, and stuffed jalapenos are my favorite apps. Free chips and salsa(like great, REAL salsa, not jarred) are also pluses. It’s important to note that it’s more Americanized food, however. So if you’re looking for good bar-type Mexican munchies, then this is your place. I came in for Taco Tuesday today and got a ground beef taco and chicken tinga taco(shredded chipotle chicken) for just $ 2 each. Both were very tasty, but the chicken tinga was the definite winner. Just the right amount of spice. The beef taco was a tad salty and it was finely ground– no big chunks of meat, but still hit the spot. Staff is always pleasant and the bartenders are on point. Our bartender today kept filling up the chips and salsa without asking. I’ll be back. :)

Happy hour food specials are much improved from my last review, and margaritas are delicious and a great deal. I recommend the empanadas, mini tacos, quest and a house margarita

Went for lunch around 130. Was greeted Nice hostess with a smile. We ordered the table side guacamole very fresh and presentable. Chicken fajitas were good too. If I had to say the downside was the rice and black beans were little salty. Service was really good Carolina our waitress was just super friendly and on point. Will be back.

I can’t even begin to express how amazing the staff and food is here. We are from Texas living in Groton(military) We drive an hour to eat here and it is totally worth it. Our first visit was we were transferring duty stations. had drove all the way from Washington State. I was beyond thrilled to see an on the border. The restaurant was very busy but we were seated very quickly. Our waitress. Alexandra is an absolute gem. She was very friendly. Even though it was crazy busy she made conversation with us. As well as checked on our table several times. She was such a warm and kind person. That alone made our experience a 10 star experience. Our food was amazing as On The Border always is. We had the fajitas. They were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Our second visit was this evening. and I was so exited to have Alexandra as our waitress again. I knew it would be a great experience. Again she surpassed my expectations of a waitress. She is always to friendly and outgoing. We had the fajitas again.delicious. We will definitely be traveling to eat there more often. I’m not sure how to comment back but thank you so much. She really is amazing at what she does and I appreciate her friendliness as well as her hard work :-)

This place is a one and done… nachos were soggy with overloaded everything. …the sampler had the same ingredients on four different things… not even the dessert brownie was fresh or good… and cleanliness was not evident where we ate… dust piled up on the wall divider for tables. your better off going to taco bell… disgusting! !!!

Great spacious place for happy hour. I went with one other friend and ordered a mango coronita(picture posted) for $ 5 and added a shot for about $ 1.50. The empanadas were available at a modest discount and they were small but flavorful. We also had the sampler which is enough to wet your appetite if you’re looking for a meal but very delicious and filling as a snack. Our server was very cool and she tried to be as attentive as possible even though she seemed slightly overwhelmed with the amount of tables she had. Overall good place with fun servers and great drinks(semi strong but flavorful).

I am strictly updating this for happy hour purposes for those near Orange, CT. If you want a cheap and delicious happy hour(calling all college students!) then this is where you need to go. Forget Friday’s down the street, OTB happy hour hits the spot. Their prices are extremely cheap. $ 316 oz marg, $ 4 for the large and add 50 cents for fruit. Coronaritas are $ 5. Their appetizers range from $ 2-$ 5 during happy hour. Free salsa and chips! FREE. Flautas are good, sometimes you get more served than are expected if they’re feeling friendly I guess. I wouldn’t use OTB as a dinner spot, still.

Good stop for an after work drink and dinner. Tasty margaritas, appetizers and entrees(including some lighter fare). For a chain, it’s a good value.

It’s a chain Mexican restaurant. Nothing authentic, but if you take it for what it is — it’s alright. I stop in here during the holidays when shopping because it is a bit off the beaten path of the Post Rd. so it’s not as busy as some other chain spots. Stick with a margarita and some apps, you can’t go wrong. Warning. I’ve never once had decent service here, I feel like this place is extremely short staffed. Never a hostess, 3 different people assist with taking orders, bringing food out. Sit at the bar if you can, I usually end up having to cash out there anyways because you can’t track down your waitress to pay your bill. Maybe next time I will try leaving? Just kidding, but seriously I doubt anyone would notice it’s like a ghost town.

Went here to meet family I had not seen in a long time… not my choice. Was pretty busy on a Friday for early dinner(5ish) but we were sat immediately with a large party. Host was super helpful and actually every employee we dealt with was great. I know how big parties can quickly become disaster, but everything from the service side was great. I had fish tacos with refried beans and rice. Tacos were actually really good. Battered fish was tasty and not dry. The Pico however was very unbalanced. One bite would be pure jalapeño, the next pure put it nicely the rice and beans did not made me sick on the spot although I was close. One bite was all I needed. Wife liked her brisket tacos, but felt the same about the rice and beans. Overall, pretty much what you should expect from chain Mexican in New England.

I’ve been here a few times and so far great food and great drinks. So far I’ve have the flautas appetizer as a dinner and it was completely filling and very tasty. I’ve also had the chicken chimichanga and that was also very good. The guacamole was fresh. On the drinks side I’ve had the watermelon margarita which is very tasty and just strong enough. They rim the glass with sugar rather than salt on this one, so if you like salt, be sure to ask. The only thing that doesn’t thrill me is their chips which are basically thin taco shells. the last time I went they were a little flat on flavor and close to stale. The service is hit or miss. I’ve had a very fun, friendly server and I’ve had one that seemed like she couldn’t wait for her shift to be over. But sometimes people are having a bad day and I don’t really fault a place for that, unless the service is just awful and you don’t get things you order. Which has never been the case here. Prices are very reasonable. I’d never hesitate to go back.
